What is ACPC?
The Government of Gujarat formed a committee called the Admission Committee for Professional Courses or ACPC to regulate the admission of candidates in professional and technical education. The committee conducts admission processes for various courses based on the preferences and merit of the candidates. ACPC performs the following functions:
- The committee is responsible for controlling, monitoring and supervising the entire admission process for different courses
- As per the Government rules & acts, the committee releases the merit list of the qualified candidates
- ACPC conducts the counselling sessions for the following courses listed below:
- Engineering
- MBA/MCA
- Pharmacy
- BArch
- Hotel Management

ACPC Admission: Eligibility Criteria
ACPC admission eligibility criteria depend on several parameters such as nationality, age limit, educational qualification, reservation policy and other criteria. Failing to satisfy any of the criteria will lead to the cancellation of candidature. Course-wise eligibility criteria for the ACPC admission process is discussed below
Nationality: The candidate should be an Indian citizen and must have domicile of the Gujarat State.
Age Limit: No age limit is specified for the candidates.
Note: Nationality and age limit will be the same for all the courses. Check the eligibility conditions for each course below.
Engineering Admissions
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 in Science stream from a recognised Board/University
- The minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST category candidates is 45% and for SEBC candidates is 40%.
Pharmacy Admissions
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised Board/University with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects and any of Mathematics, Biotechnology or Biology.
- Candidates must have appeared in the GUJCET 2021 exam, before applying for the ACPC counselling.
- The minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST category candidates is 40% and for General & SEBC candidates is 45%.
MBA/MCA Admissions
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised Board/University in India.
- They must have appeared in the Common Management Aptitude Test 2021 exam and must have passed scored above the cutoff marks.
- For ACPC MCA, candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination or Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects.
- For MCA Lateral Entry, candidates who have passed the Bachelor of Computer Application or Bachelor of Science (IT) or Bachelor of Science (Computer) stream are only eligible.
- Candidates whose graduation results are awaited can also apply.
- The minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS category candidates is 45% and for General category candidates is 50%.
Architecture Admissions
- Candidates must have passed the qualifying exam with the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the Council of Architecture for getting admission in B. Arch course.
- The minimum qualifying marks for SEBC/SC/ST category candidates is 45% and for General category candidates is 50%.
- They must have a valid score in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for getting admission to the BArch and Interior Design Program.
Hotel Management Courses
- Candidates must have passed the qualifying exam of Council of Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi, from the school located in Gujarat state and Union Territories of Daman & Diu or Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
- Candidates should have studied at the National Institute of Open Schooling. The school should be located in Gujarat state and Union Territories of Daman & Diu or Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
ACPC Admission Procedure
The steps given below are part of the Online ACPC admission process:
- The admission committee of ACPC prepares the merit list for the eligible candidates and release it on the official website.
- The ACPC Counselling process will be done in many rounds. Admission Committee is responsible to schedule the online counselling.
- The candidates have to select the order of choices of colleges and courses on the official website of ACPC.
- The ACPC seat allotment will be displayed on the website and the allotment of seats will be based on the category of the candidate, merit, and availability of seats.
- Candidates have to pay the required fees to the committee. In case the fee is not paid, the application of the candidate will be cancelled automatically.
