IIT Kanpur has released the GATE 2023 application form online on its website on August 30, 2022, which will remain available till September 30, 2022, without late fee and on October 7, 2022 with a late fee amount of INR 500. GATE 2023 will be held on February 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2023. An all-India examination, GATE tests a student's comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science. The exam is together conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee) and the scores of the same are accepted in various Indian higher education institutes and public sector units (PSUs) across the country.
