VITEEE 2020 exam pattern released by VIT; Aptitude section added
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has released the exam pattern of VITEEE 2020. According to the official notification, VITEEE 2020 exam pattern will now include the aptitude section along with Maths or Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English.
As per the authorities, the decision has been taken, keeping in mind the entrance examinations for the top universities across the world which tests the aptitude of students, in addition to verbal and analytical ability.
From the academic year 2020-21, the aptitude section in VITEEE 2020 will be in addition to the subjects of Maths or Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English. Also, authorities have reduced 5 questions each from Physics and Chemistry. As per the new VITEEE exam pattern 2020, the total number of questions will be 125. Below are the section-wise distribution of questions:
- Mathematics or Biology - 40 questions
- Physics section - 35 questions
- Chemistry - 35 questions
- Aptitude test -10 questions
- English - 5 questions
Exam Duration: The duration of the test will be of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Marking Scheme: One mark will be awarded for each correct answer while there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
VITEEE is conducted every year for admission to the UG courses in the campuses of the institute. The conducting authority is yet to announce the VITEEE 2020 important dates.
VITEEE 2020 application form is expected to be released in online and offline mode from the fourth week of October 2019. Registered candidates have to book their slots to download the VITEEE admit card. The computer-based test will be held from the second to third week of April 2020. Last year, around 2 lakh candidates had appeared in the examination.
