Bharati Vidyapeeth conducts BUMAT exam in centre-based or home-based mode. Candidates can apply for any of the convenient modes while filling the BUMAT application form. BUMAT exam 2025 will be held tentatively in third week of June 2025. The mode of examination will be notified. Candidates desiring to appear for the BUMAT exam must check the important exam-taking instructions for the center-based/home-based online entrance test.

Instructions for Question Paper

  • It is compulsory to attempt all the questions. For every question, four options will be provided out of which one option will be a correct answer.
  • One question will be displayed at a time
  • The marking of the question will be displayed at the top right corner of each question.
  • There will be no negative marking for any unattempted question or wrong answer.
  • The medium of paper will be English.
  • Candidates can attempt the question in any sequence.
  • The remaining time will be displayed continuously on the top right corner of the question paper.
  • Candidates can ask any doubt to the invigilator before the commencement of the exam. No query will be entertained once the exam begins.
  • Candidates will be provided with an extra rough sheet. However, all the rough sheets must be submitted once the exam is finished.

Instructions for Answering Questions

  • To answer the questions, test takers must click on the correct option. The selected option will be highlighted and shall be treated as the answer given.
  • If the test taker does not wish to answer the question,  he/she must not click on any options and click on the tab ‘next’
  • Candidates can ‘bookmark’ questions to review before submitting.
  • Candidates can navigate between questions by clicking on next/previous or by simply clicking on the question number displayed in the summary report.

Instructions for Preview and Submission

  • The answers will be saved automatically when the candidate navigates to next question.
  • Candidates can modify their responses before the paper is auto-submitted.
  • Once the examination time is over, candidates cannot answer any question, and response already provided will be automatically submitted.
  • A ‘Thank You’ message will appear after the completion of the exam.

Candidates can be disqualified/debarred by the chief proctor of the exam centre for any of the following reasons:

  • Creating unnecessary disturbance.
  • Attempting to take examination for someone else.
  • Giving/receiving any kind of assistance during the examination from the candidate or any other outsider.
  • Candidates eat or smoke in the examination hall.
  • Attempting to temper with the operations of the computer or meddling with the system.
  • Exchanging any document, paper or any other material with other test takers.
  • Leaving the BUMAT exam centre without the permission of the invigilator.
  • Using prohibited items such as pens, pencils, scales, paper, book, notebooks, calculator, watch calculator, mobile phones, health bands, electronic gadgets, jewellery of any kind and so forth,.
  • Candidates will be asked to remove their jacket, footwear, socks, and sunglasses before entering the examination centre.
  • Attempting to access any unauthorised program/software during the BUMAT exam
  • Failing to follow the invigilator.
  • Manhandling of invigilators or test centre staff.
  • Resorting to any unfair means.
  • Not maintaining silence in the examination hall.

Note: Candidates must appear for the BUMAT mock test which will be released on the official website. The mock test will help candidates to become familiar with the exam pattern and mode of examination.

BUMAT Exam Instructions for Home-Based Online Test

  • The home-based online test for BUMAT exam will be conducted only through desktop/laptop. Check for the important instructions to take home based online test below:
    • Exam start time: As per the schedule sent to the registered email address.
    • Candidates will not be permitted to take the test after 30 minutes from the commencement of the exam.
    • Candidates are advised to log in 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
    • Candidates will be shared their login credentials in the email. They must not share the credentials with any one else.
  • Before beginning with the examination candidates must ensure the following:
    • Candidate must use the computer system equipped with Windows Operating System (Version 8 and above)
    • Google Chrome (80.0 version or above) must be installed with cookies and pop-ups enabled.
    • Candidates must have an active and stable internet connection with more than 2 mbps.
    • There should be a minimum available data pack (3 GB-4 GB)
    • The candidate’s device must have an integrated webcam and microphone. A webcam is a must to take the exam.
    • Candidates must keep the ID card (issued by Local Government Authorities/ Passport/ Employer ID) ready for the verification process. No separate ID’s will be issued by the exam taking authorities.

Code of Conduct:

The exam will be proctored using Artificial Intelligence as well as a human proctor (invigilator) through continuous audio and video feed.

For any unethical behavior, there will be zero tolerance.

Candidates must ensure to follow all the exam day guidelines with utmost solemnity.

Q:   When will be the BUMAT exam conducted?

A:

BUMAT 2025 exam will be conducted tentatively in third week of June 2025. Candidates who will register for the exam were able to appear for the BUMAT exam. The examination for Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) UG 2025 admissions will be held in computer based mode. Candidates will have to report at the alloted exam centre. BUMAT exam is conducted for a duration of 120 minutes. As per the BUMAT exam pattern, the question paper consists of 200 multiple choice questions. Candidates had to choose a correct answer among the four options provided. There was no negative marking for any wrong answer or not attempted question. Candidates wothout BUMAT admit card were not permitted to enter the BUMAT exam centre.  

Q:   How can I check the allotted BUMAT exam centre?

A:

Candidates will be able to check the allotted exam centre upon release of BUMAT admit card. Only candidates who will fill the BUMAT application form along with the successful application fee payment will be able to download the BUMAT hall ticket when released. The BUMAT admit card 2025 is expected to release in the secod week of June 2025. Candidates will be able to check the following details on the release of BUMAT 2025 admit card:

  1. Name of the candidate
  2. Registration number
  3. Category
  4. Location
  5. Date of exam
  6. Time of exam
  7. Exam centre name & address
  8. Photograph
  9. Signature
  10. Instructions related to BUMAT exam

Candidates must note that the exam centre once allotted, no request for change in BUMAT exam centre will be entertained. Candidates are advised to carefully enter the BUMAT exam centre preference while filling the BUMAT application form.

Exam authority reserves the right to disqualify any found if found practising any unfair means.

  • After the above-mentioned steps, the authoriser will connect for verification. This process may take around 20-30 minutes. Candidates may get any of the message- “We are currently processing your authorization submission” or “You are in the queue. Please wait while your details are being authorized.”
  • Upon authorisation, candidates will be allowed to enter the examination interface.

Examination Environment Rules

  • No other person should enter the room once the exam commences.
  • The lighting of the room should be bright. Overhead lighting is preferred.  If there is no overhead lighting, the lighting should not be behind.
  • Candidates must make sure that their face is visible at all times. Test takers must not look away from the screen or hide their face or mouth.
  • Candidates must sit at a clean desk or table.
  • The desk or walls around the candidate must not have any writing on them.
  • The room must be as quiet as possible. No sounds (such as television or music) will be permitted.
  • Candidates must not have any of the following on the table during the online proctored examination: textbooks, books, notebooks, mobile phones or any other device.
  • Test takers can keep the following items: a water bottle, two blank sheets for rough work, pen or pencil for rough work, calculators.
  • Test takers must ensure that their laptop is fully charged and the webcam is working properly.

Instructions for the computer/ laptop used for examination

  • The computer that will be used for taking the BUMAT examination must not have more than one display or monitor.
  • Candidates must close all the other tabs on the computer that will be used for examination.

BUMAT Exam: Do’s and Don’ts

Candidates must keep attention on the chat as well with the proctor/invigilator. Candidates can ask their queries from the proctor.

Mic or camera must not be covered with any article. Don’t position the camera too low or too high

Candidates must be in front of the screen at all times

Do not browse any other website or application while appearing for the exam

Candidate’s activities will be monitored, recorded and observed continuously.

Candidates will not be allowed to switch off or log out to go to the washroom. If logged out, re-login will not be permitted.  

Dress decently

Candidates must not use headphones, earbuds or nay other type of listening equipment.

Attempt every question and review each response before final submission.

Candidates must not use any electronic gadgets.

 

Candidates must not press the F5 key to refresh the window, as it will terminate the exam.

What to do if online exam is interrupted?

  • In case the test takers gets disconnected for any reason, they must log out and log in again. If the problem persists they must immediately contact helpdesk@onlineregistrationform.org with their registration ID and subject ID.
  • If the candidate gets repeated warnings the test will be terminated automatically. To resume the test candidates must mail at helpdesk@onlineregistrationform.org

Privacy

During the final BUMAT exam, images/videos/sounds of the candidates will be captured and their computer systems will be captured as well. It is envisaged that candidates who register for the remote proctored BUMAT exam must agree to the same.

Yes, BUMAT syllabus for BBA and BCA courses are same. BUMAT is a common examination for admission to UG courses: BBA and BCA. The question paper will be divided into four sections viz., Numerical Aptitude, Reasoning/Logical Aptitude, Verbal Ability, and Reading Comprehension.
