CBSE Class 12 Exam 2021: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a high-level meeting decided to cancel the CBSE 12th exams 2021.
In a crucial meeting of ministers, PM Narendra Modi decided to cancel the CBSE 12th exams 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic.
According to PM, the decision on the cancellation of CBSE 12th board exams 2021 had been taken in the interest of students due to the uncertain situation created due to the pandemic. The Prime Minister was briefed about all possible options for Class 12 students.
A review meeting was held from 5:30 pm to finalize the conduct of CBSE and other state board exams. A detailed presentation was conducted on the wide and extensive consultation held so far and views from all stakeholders, including the state governments were shared and discussed.
During the meeting with Union Ministers and other officials, it was also decided that CBSE will take steps to compile the CBSE 12th results 2021 as per a ‘well-defined objective criteria’ in a time-bound manner.
"Class 12 results will be made as per well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner," the PM said.
The Board will announce the evaluation criteria for assessing the CBSE 12th students soon. Students must check this space to stay updated on the CBSE 12th assessment criteria and the announcement of result.
Earlier today, Union minister Ramesh Pokhriyal was admitted to hospital due to post-covid complications. So, PM Narendra Modi chose to fill in and after considering all possible options announced the cancellations of exams. He wrote, "Government of India has decided to cancel the Class XII CBSE Board Exams. After extensive consultations, we have taken a decision that is student-friendly, one that safeguards the health as well as future of our youth."
