Students not satisfied with their CBSE 12th Results 2020 can appear for the CBSE 12th optional exam 2020 to improve their 12th board results. 

The Central Board of Secondary Education DECLARED CBSE 12th Results 2020 at cbseresults.nic.in. According to the statement given by CBSE at the Court, it will conduct an Optional Examination in the subjects whose exams were earlier scheduled to be conducted from July to July 15, 2020. The CSBE 12th Optional Exams 2020 will be conducted as soon as conditions are conducive as assessed and decided by the Central Government. According to the stats released after the declaration of the CBSE 12th Results 2020, 88.78 % qualified for higher education in the CBSE 12th results. 

The highest pass percentage in the country for CBSE 12th Results is recorded in the Thiruvananthapuram region where 97.67% students passed. In Bengaluru and Chennai, 97.05% and 96.17% of the total students passed the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2020. West Delhi and East Delhi stand in fourth and fifth position respectively in the region-wise performance. However, approximately, 87.651 students are placed in the compartment. The pass percentage among girls is 92.15% whereas it is 86.19% among boys.

CBSE 12th results 2020: Optional examinations

Candidates who are not satisfied with their CBSE 12th Results 2020 based on the assessment scheme will be allowed to appear in these CBSE 12th optional examinations to improve their performance. Students must know that marks obtained by a candidate in these optional examinations will be treated as final for those who opted to take these examinations.

However, even based on the above criteria, the CBSE 12th results of 400 students could not be computed and hence, the reports suggest that CBSE 12th results for these students will not be announced today.

CBSE will subsequently announce the schedule for taking options from the students who are eligible and the dates of the optional examinations will be announced subsequently in consultation with the Government of India.

Earlier, CBSE also decided to replace the term “FAIL” by the term “Essential Repeat”. Hence, in the CBSE 12th result declared no “FAIL” term will be mentioned in the documents issued to the candidates and the result hosted on the website.
