According to the reports, the guidelines will be in relation to the ones issued by the Government of India on preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The reports also suggest that the masks are likely to be compulsory during exams, the board will also make the provision of regular sanitization of hands and not more than 12 students will be allowed to sit per room. Union Human Resource Development Minister, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on May 8 announced that the CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet 2020 and CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2020 for the pending exams. According to the announcement, the Board will conduct the CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th examinations between July 1 and July 15.
Sanyam Bhardwaj, the CBSE controller of examinations, told media that the board is busy preparing detailed guidelines to conduct the remaining exams. The guidelines will include proper sanitization of examination halls before and after the exams.
Mr Bharadwaj also cleared that there will be no retests. Students who might miss the examination for testing positive or being quarantined at the time might miss the exams altogether. Results will be prepared on the basis of the exams given by the students.
He also added that the board is encouraging parents to provide information about their ward and his/her health in advance. The board is following all the precautionary and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the World Health Organisation (WHO). The same will be ensured during the exams.
