Interested students must note that the last date for submitting applications for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship is December 10.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday, i.e. November 12, 2020, invited applications for the Single Girl Child Scholarship for CBSE Class 12 students. Interested students must note that the last date for submitting applications for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship is December 10. The board has also called for the renewal of students who have been availing of the scholarship for Class 10 in 2019.
CBSE, in its official notification, said: “The Central Board of Secondary Education invites online applications from eligible students who have passed class 10 exams from the CBSE affiliated schools for the following scholarship schemes: CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for class 12 studies and renewal of online applications of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child Class 10 pass awarded in 2019.”
Interested candidates are to submit online applications by December 10 by logging into CBSE’s official website, cbse.nic.in. Students are also required to submit a hard copy of the same which should be submitted by December 28. Single Girl Child scholarship is provided by the CBSE to encourage families across the county to send their girl children for education.
CBSE Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child 2020: Eligibility Criteria
All single girl students, who have secured 60% or more marks in CBSE Class X Examination and are studying Class XI & XII in School (affiliated with CBSE) whose tuition fee is not more than Rs. 1,500/- p.m. during the academic year, shall be considered for the purpose. In the next two years, the total enhancement in tuition fees in such schools shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
