HPBOSE announced that all students of classes 1 to 9 and class 11 will be promoted to the higher classes without examinations.
Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE) announced that all students of classes 1 to 9 and class 11 will be promoted to the higher classes without examinations. Amid the arising health and economic crisis in India due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus, the country’s education system is trying its best to keep its bodies functioning.
HPBOSE decided to promote these students without examination as conducting annual examinations is not safe due to the rapidly spreading coronavirus. In the official notification released by HPBOSE on April 7, the board stated that Schools affiliated with HPBOSE will be promoting all the students of 1st to 8th and 11th Class without holding any exams. The notice also confirmed that no results will be announced for the students who are currently in these classes as they are being promoted directly.
While HPBOSE announced the promotion of the students studying in classes 1 to 9 and 11, the board has not released any official notice related to HPBOSE 10th and HPBOSE 12thresults. On March 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown for 21 days i.e. until April 14 to contain the spread of contagious COVID-19 virus. The minister also advised people to practice social distancing by not stepping outside their homes.
The 21-day lockdown resulted in the further postponement of pending examination as well as evaluation work. This could be the reason for the board’s silence over HPBOSE 10th, 12th board exam results.
According to the media reports, the board is currently working on a plan for HPBOSE Results 2020 and the same will be notified to the students soon.
