Due to the delay in the evaluation process, the Chhattisgarh Board result 2020 will also be postponed.

The Chhattisgarh Board Of Secondary Education (CGBSE) or Chhattisgarh Madhyamik Shiksha Mandal postponed the evaluation process for the board exam answer sheets. The evaluation process was scheduled to begin from March 26 onwards. However, now the process is deferred until further notice. Due to the delay in the evaluation process, the Chhattisgarh Board result 2020 will also be postponed.

According to the reports, the Board will release a revised schedule for the evaluation process as well as the release of the result announced after accessing the situation amid the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. However, to keep things on track, the CGBSE announced that the evaluation process will take place from home in order to maintain social distancing among teachers. The Board also released special direction to be followed by teachers while evaluating the CGBSE examination answer sheets from home.

A total of 2,69,473 students registered for CGBSE class 12 exams. During the examination, the Board also released a ‘no extra sheet’ rule for the students. A 32-page long answer booklet was provided to class 10 students while class 12 students were provided a 42-page answer booklet for physics and mathematics exams. Following the new rule, no extra sheet was provided to the students.

Last year, more than 7.69 lakh students appeared for CGBSE class 10 and class 12 exams. The overall pass percentage for class 12 was 78.43 percent and for class 10, it was 68.20 percent. Novel coronavirus affected the academic calendar around the globe. Schools are closed, colleges are shut, classes are suspended, and results are delayed. In order to control the virus spread, on March 24, PM declared the nationwide lockdown and advised people to stay in their homes and practice social distancing. The total number of coronavirus cases in India is more than 500.
