Goa government declared that the revised schedule for the pending Goa board exam for class 10 and class 12 students will be announced after May 17. According to the reports, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated that the new date sheet for pending Goa SSC Board Exams and Goa HSSC Board Exams will be released after the lockdown is lifted.
The Goa board examinations were postponed earlier in the month of March due to the nationwide lockdown imposed to arrest the spread of coronavirus in the state. The chief minister also revealed that the state government found out a way to conduct pending board exams while following the precautionary and adhering to social distancing norms.
He further added that the board cannot hold the examinations now due to the latest guidelines released by the Ministry of Home Affairs guidelines. Earlier, in a circular released on March 20, Education Director Vandana Rao declared the further postponement of the board exams until further notice.
The minister then said, "In view of the spread of Covid-19 in the country...all examinations from classes IX to XII scheduled from March 21 onwards are postponed till further orders. This includes exams for Class X and XII."
India is under the third phase of the lockdown i.e. COVID-19 lockdown 3.0. On May 1, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued guidelines announcing the further postponement of the lockdown until May 17. Following the guidelines, the Goa government decided to release the revised Goa SSC Time Table 2020 and Goa HSSC Time Table 2020 after the lockdown is lifted.
