The evaluation of Tripura board examination copies would start shortly amid the ongoing nationwide lockdown, said Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath.
Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath has announced that the evaluation work for class 10 and class 12 examination sheets will begin shortly, amidst the lockdown, under strict adherence to social distancing.
While commenting on the same, Nath said, “The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) had completed the TBSE Class 10 new syllabus exams, however, few exams of the old syllabus are pending. Some papers of TBSE Class 12 were done and some are left. The Board has decided to start the evaluation process of the answer sheets of those board examinations that were completed prior to lockdown. In order to maintain social distancing, 15 evaluation centers have been created in Agartala instead of 6-7 in earlier times.”
The state government will also provide bus services for the teachers who don't have their own vehicle to reach these evaluation centers, he added.
The Board will conduct the rest of the pending papers post lockdown, the minister said.
"Summer vacation for the student this year has been cancelled. This has been done, keeping in mind, the lockdown imposed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, which has already had caused enough academic loss to the students. Soon the lockdown is uplifted, the Board will resume the classes while maintaining the social distancing criteria," Nath said.
On March 17, all educational institutions around the state were closed down, as a precautionary measure to contain further spread of coronavirus.
"The Board is trying to bring answer scripts to Agartala from concerned custodians to start the evaluation process from April 22," Nath said.
