The UP Board 10th, 12th exams 2021 have been cancelled and the students will be marked based on internal evaluation.
UP Board 10th, 12th Result 2021: On June 3, the UP Board announced the cancellation of UP Board 12th examinations 2021 amid the second wave of COVID-19. The decision came two days after the CBSE 12th exams were cancelled. The state board had already announced the cancellation of UP Board Class 10 examinations. Now, the state board has released the tentative criteria based on which it will be preparing and releasing the UP Board 10th Result as well as the UP Board 12th Result 2021. However, a detailed notification regarding the UP Board 10th, 12th Result 2021 will be released soon on the official website of the state board.

UP Board 12th Result 2021: How marks will be calculated?
The marks for class 12 will be determined on the basis of average marks obtained by a student in classes 10 and 11, according to an official release issued by Deputy Chief Minister, Dinesh Sharma who also holds the state Education Minister portfolio. If the class 11 marks are not available, the marks obtained in pre-board exams will be considered, the release added.
For the regular and private students of class 12 whose marks of classes 10 and 11 are not available, such students will be promoted with pass certificates only, the Deputy CM said.
UP Board 10th Result 2021: How marks will be calculated?
Similarly, for Class 10, the final marks will be determined on the basis of the average of their class 9 marks and the exams obtained in pre-board Class 10 exams. Those students of Class 10 whose pre-board and class 9 marks are not available will be promoted with pass certificates only.
The Class 10 and 12 students of 2021 will also be allowed to take exam of either one subject or all subjects in the next intermediate exam to improve their scores if they wish to do so.
The Deputy CM also highlighted that this is the first time "the world's biggest board will not conduct both class 10 and 12 board exams this year.”
He said a total of 29.94 lakh high school students and 26.10 lakh (2.6 million) intermediate students will benefit from the decision to cancel the exams
Earlier, the minister had said that all the necessary arrangement have been made to conduct the Class 10, 12 exams and the question papers have also been prepared. But, now the exams stand cancelled considering the health of teachers and students.
