The UP Board High School Result 2020 and UP Board Intermediate Result 2020 will be announced at 12.30 pm. More than 30.24 lakh students gave the UP Board 10th examinations, while as many as 25.86 lakh students took the UP Board 12th examinations this year.

With an aim to ensure that students don't face any trouble post declaration of UP Board 10th & 12th class results 2020, UP Board is planning to make the mark sheets available with digital signature of its secretary for the students through its official website in this coronavirus times, officials said.

This would allow students to take admissions in further classes with these online issued marksheets. When the situation will get normal, the students can collect their UP Bord Results 2020 from their respective schools, they added.

The board conducted exams as per schedule but answer sheet evaluation had been delayed by the pandemic. Due to disruption in the evaluation process the High School Result 2020 UP Board and 12th Result 2020 UP Board has been delayed.

Last year, UP Board Result 2019 was declared in April-end. Around 80.07 per cent students passed in UPMSP Class 10th result last year. For Class 12, the pass percentage was 70.6 per cent.

β€œThe option of issuing digitally signed marksheets to the students is being discussed and its feasibility being explored. However, a final decision in this regard is yet to be taken," said UP Board secretary Neena Srivastava.

The Board is planning to upload the mark sheets with digital signature of the UP Board Secretary as well as photograph of individual students on its official website. This will be done after the UPMSP Board results 2020 is announced and the school principals will be able to download the marksheets of all the students. They will then be able to use them for all official purposes till the hardcopy of the marksheets become available to them.

However, Schools might take may take a day or two to upload the marksheets, the official added. These digitally signed marksheets will be different from the ones students till now used to download from the website post declaration of the results as they lacked the official signature of UP Board secretary and as a result had no legal standing. However the digitally signed ones will be fully valid for admissions as well as job purposes, the official explained.

UP Board Class 12th mark sheets will be uploaded on a priority basis considering that they will be requiring it for admission job as well as competitive exams, he said.

Officials informed that the reason for issuing these digitally signed mark sheets through the principals of the respective schools of the students is to fix responsibility. The principals concerned will then ensure distribution of these digitally signed marksheets keeping the social distancing norms in mind, shared officials.

Earlier, board examinees used to get hardcopy of their marksheets and certificates within 15 days of the result declaration through their schools.
