Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for B.Arch students at Aayojan School of Architecture, Jaipur?

    A:
    {Source: B.Arch students & alumni}

    Placement Cell

Unfortunately, there is no placement cell at Aayojan School of Architecture, Jaipur. According to the students' and alumni's feedback:

    * "Students have to apply on their own for placements."
    * "There is no system of placement in this field. students have to make their own portfolio and send it to the companies for selection."

While almost 300 students did get placed with a salary range of Rs. 20,000, this was achieved individually by the students themselves without any assistance from the college. Therefore, the placement success rate cannot be attributed to the college's efforts.

It is essential to note that the college does offer 100% internships, allowing students to gain practical experience in their chosen field. However, this is separate from the placement process.

    Top college for architecture
Placements: We got 100% placements. If anyone is left it is due to their own choice or backlogs. We got divided in different groups and got internships at different companies. Since we have a freelancer type work so some started there own some started with their known ones.
Infrastructure: Campus is small and hostels are good but not well maintained, looks old. the worst was mess food. i remember students used to eat maggi and outdoor food rather to prefer mess food. The transportation is easy for different places and there are different colleges around it so it gives you good vibes and chance to interact different type of courses like Mahatma Gandhi hospital and college, Pornima, Apex and many more there are around 7-8 colleges.
Faculty: It was good and well educated teachers as in our field students who got above 75% can pursue teaching so the teachers are good. Our course is whole based on industry ready. Not so difficult exams we have more hand work to do in daily basis. The senior are also good there is no such type of things like raging and other things they do a small intro session and it's funny to do and it helps us to interact with seniors and do us industry ready. The teachers are also as cool as students they have fun with us by participating in different activities like games, cultures and other they give full freedom to students so they can come out by there insecurities.
Other: I think it's best course at this time to choose as nowadays many people started to use architect and it's a progressive sector so it's all on you how you proceed with the course.

An average architecture college and less qualified faculty.
Placements: There is no placement offered in the college. After graduation you have to apply for jobs in different firms by yourself only, each individual is supposed to do all such things by themselves only. There is nothing from the college side regarding the placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very good. Talking about the facilities that the college provides are the following: 1) Labs: Structure lab, computer lab, carpentry lab, and plumbing lab are there but they don't take us to the carpentry and plumbing labs. 2)Library: The library is very good you will find more than a lot of books, even you will find thesis competition and other books also 3)classrooms: There are enough classrooms and recently the college changed the old furniture in classrooms (studios). 4)Lecture hall: There are a total of 6 lecture halls but they don't have any audio system, they have projectors in each lecture hall but the projector quality is not that good. 5)Mess: If food is decent and its furniture has also recently changed, sometimes you can face some problems with food hygiene and food quality. 6) canteen: A small canteen is there on the college campus with an open sitting facility in front of it. 7)Wi-Fi: there is no Wi-Fi facility for students it is provided to faculty only 8)hostel: The girls' hostel rooms are decent and they have proper furniture and a water cooler facility but the boys' hostel is not good they only have one water cooler on the ground floor in a building of four floors. 9) Medical facilities: as such there is no facility in the college, you have to go hospital. 10) sports: The college has basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and badminton-like facilities but it is not funded or provided by the college. All sports equipment is arranged by the students themselves. 11) stationary: there is stationary on the college campus itself you don't have to go outside the campus, which has all the resources you need from sheet prints to architectural stationery even if it costs less than the outside stationaries. 12) Parking: There is separate parking for students and faculty members for bikes and cars. 13) Transportation: they have no buses for students they have a small van for transportation.
Faculty: The college doesn't have good teachers most of them are from the previous passport batch recently there was good faculty there in college but they all left the college due to less salary was given to them. The faculty members' behaviour for students is based and not very helpful and they also judge you very quickly if you don't follow them or try to do something different from their instruction. Even though some of them are not that knowledgeable their teaching method is also traditional. The college exams are not very tough and the faculty members give you a lot of work. Even there is very few site visits are conducted from the college side.
Other: I got admission from the NATA exam score and the best reason for choosing architecture as a course is that it is a good profession and have never died in future also my family have an architecture and construction background so I already have an interest and good knowledge of the field. Once a year there is a cultural fest of 7 days which happens during September or October month which is also funded by students there is no role of the college in it apart from there being no fest and events organized by the college during the whole year except Janmashtami which is again also funded by students. There is no scholarship offered by the college and there are very less extracurricular activities done in the college.

It is a good college with excellent teachers, placements, infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: Our college does not provide good placements. Students have to find jobs on their own. Top recruiting companies do not visit our campus. Almost all students get internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available. Our classrooms are good. Labs and library are good. Our hostel provides good infrastructure and facilities. The quality of food in the hostel is good. We play volleyball.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. I have gained a lot of knowledge through this course. It is an excellent course. Our college organises many events.

The infrastructure is bad and needs to be renovated.
Placements: In the architecture field, the college doesn't provide placements, which is much like MBBS. Newbies have to struggle through their way. I wish this thing could be better. The architecture field is the same all over India.
Infrastructure: The building is in very poor condition and needs to be mended. There are no playgrounds or sports facilities. The table tennis table has been broken for ages now, and no one cares until there is a match. The hostel is even worse, but they are very strict about the rules. Hence, we get no time to explore.
Faculty: The faculty members are good, but all the experienced ones are leaving college, giving it a drop. But we don't get time to do things other than studies which no student in college would ever want. Aayojan is more like a school with a brand name.
Other: There must be more site visits, but students must not be asked to pay for it. Cultural is the best fest and that's the only thing we live for.

it was a good college but now almost good and senior faculty had left the college.
Placements: Currently doing B.Arch in aayojan school of architecture (21st batch). It was top rated college in Rajasthan. Architecture colleges does not offer any kind of package, placements. Students have to approach companies either have to open their firm.
Infrastructure: From architecture point of veiw infrastructure is good but it has very small campus. Even girls hostel building is occupying more area then academic building. Hostel are so and so with old small rooms And quality of food in mess is also average. In the first month of new admission you will get quality food then.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful qualified and. Most of the teachers are pass outs of this college only but sad factor is that most of senior and goid faculty had left the college so now quality of education is decreased and most important thing Seniors will teach you more than faculty.

I am satisfied with faculty, infrastructure and facilities but not with management.
Placements: As we all know, Architecture colleges have no policy of placements. But if you are studying in a reputed institution, then it affects your skills and contacts. I think Aayojan has created a great name in north India particularly. So this college is surely gonna help you increase your circle.
Infrastructure: Food quality in mess and canteen is definitely good. There is a weekly schedule for different dishes. As we all know sometimes you have to compromise your particular taste but overall courses are definitely good. If we talk about hostel infrastructure, then it is a bit average. But the environment of vernacular and exposed brick facades helps you.
Faculty: Teachers are definitely very knowledgeable and helpful. But the work curriculum in architecture is a bit different from other courses. So there are some things you have to do on your own. The exam happens twice a semester. Mid semesters are organized by the college itself and you need 45% passing marks. The end seems to be organized by RTU and here comes your Jury.
Other: One of the best things about architecture is you will feel the practicality inside yourself. This is not a course for non-enthusiastic people. But If you love architecture, then this is gonna be fabulous for you.
