A non-recommended and extremely mediocre college which remains unfaithful to its promises.

Placements: Some decent companies visit the campus for placements. However, all the students of JIS Group and Techno Group of Colleges and our campus, attend the placement drives together, and hence the competition is tough. Around 2 to 3 students are selected. All in all, no product based companies visit and the jobs offered are mainly service-based. In the last year, the college provides some form of training and prepares students for attending the placements. You need a minimum of 7.5 GPA to be eligible ...

Moderate facilities, poor placements but good teaching staff.

Placements: The placements were moderate. Mostly, off-campus placements are available to the students in this college. I got placed through off-campus placements. Mass recruiting companies do not visit the college for placements which definitely requires improvements. Hopefully, this would be sorted in future.

A review of Abacus Institute of Engineering and Management.

Placements: Placements are not good enough, but they are better for the core branches like ECE and CSE. Many companies came and hired some students from here. So placements are average if you study hard and get good CGPA in 4 years. Placements are good for the non-core branches also as many companies come for them.

Had to adjust initially but there is scope of grabbing good opportunities from the college.

Placements: As our college is a joint venture of TECHNO INDIA group and JIS group it gives us opportunity to sit for both group campusing. TCS, IBM, CGI, GENPACT, ERICSSON are the key recruiters. 5.5 LPA was the highest salary offered to one of our seniors. Our college offered us an internship in Geotech for 1 year with the stipend of 10k/ month.

It is a moderate college with moderate placement facilities.

Placements: Both on and off-campus interviews were held but less in numbers. Around 10% of the students were placed. Wipro was one of the renowned companies that visit our campus. The highest salary offered was 4.5 LPA, and the lowest was 1.8 LPA. Small companies offered high posts, but good companies offered lower posts for the students. All the students got internship facilities, and all were without stipend. There is a placement cell, but it was managed by weak people.

The name has a word 'management', but the management courses are not introduced so far.

Placements: The placement was good for CSE and IT batch. As the Techno India Group looks after the placement of our college, they normally organise the pool campus at their main campus, Salt Lake Sector V, Kolkata. But the chances of getting selected is low because for every placement, around 500/700 candidates used to appear. The college did not provide a single core company placement. So according to me, the track record of the placement is not at all good.

The college has best faculty members.

Placements: The placements are less than average. 10% of my seniors are placed. The highest package was 8 lacs per annum, and the lowest was about 3 lacs per annum. The campusing are conducted at Techno India college. Very few companies visit our college. The programmes related to the placements organised are often. The campusing is below average.

Abacus is good for studies.

Placements: I heard from the teachers that our college gives good placement opportunities in the companies like TCS, IBM, etc., but our seniors say that they are not satisfied with the college's placements. They say that there are a few companies that come for the placements. Our college has two groups, Techno India and JIS. It should take the necessary steps for good placements.

Somewhat dissatisfied because they only provide pool campus placements.

Placements: They mostly provide pool campus placement opportunities, with Techno group and this group. Hence, the placement is not so guaranteed here, but still, many students managed to get themselves placed in TCS, IBS, Wipro and other small companies and startups. The placement support is very good in this college, and the teachers are supportive and give regular updates about the job openings and companies.

Review of Abacus Institute of Engineering and Management.

Placements: Around 40 students out of 60 students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant. Around 20% of students got internships from our batch. The top role offered is a software designer.
