Overall Amrita is a decent college with little drawbacks.
Placements: Placements in our college are pretty bad. More than 60% of students get offer letter during the internship time. It is easy for other departments to attract companies. Being a small department college, it shows less concern regarding placement. Companies which visit for placements are mostly for IT, which is very disappointing.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty decent. College provides one heck of an ambience. College mess is very poor, but the hostel facilities are pretty good. Students are provided with Wi-Fi, 24x7 water supply and electricity. Even for sports, the infrastructure is very good.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are PhD holders, but still few of them don't have the knowledge, but still, somehow got the job. The teaching method is based on PPT, and for more, you have to rely on the internet or library. Teachers do encourage doubt. The course curriculum for B.A. is pretty tough.

I am absolutely satisfied with my college experience.
Placements: The placement sessions are not really attractive here. Companies like Amazon, Mckinsey and other print and broadcast firms conduct placements yearly. Based on individual performance, students are selected directly to join the company or are qualified for limited-time programmes. Every student is provided with an additional internship facility in their field of interest after completing the second year of the course. The field of interest and the company can be of our choice, but the faculty incharge will verify the details and performance. The department will also assist the students.
Infrastructure: There is a fully functioning digital library with E-journals and printed publications, OPAC search facilities, and associate guides in each section. There are specific buildings for each department of studies. There are research labs, digital studio, a sufficient amount of IT labs, digital classrooms. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There are also gym, huge ground for sports, dispensary, 4 fully functioning canteens, additional night cafeterias, hostel facilities, hangars and swimming pool.
Faculty: There are specific faculty for each subject. They provide additional training for mediocre students to excel. The course curriculum is really satisfaction as it contains in-depth research programmes and paper publication. It also involves practical application in the media field, where students can associate with a company known as a media project.
Other: The college organises internationally acclaimed technical event Anokha, Gokulashtami, Amritotsavam, inter-campus sports meet, sports day, institution day, technical and non-technical workshops. Scholarship programmes for research as well as for current studies are provided.

Absolutely worth the money you pay for.
Placements: The Mass Communication course doesn't have placements unlike the engineering course. So yes, there are no highest, lowest, or average packages offered in the courses. While there are companies that go through the personal connections of the faculty members, like Google, Amrita TV, and media advertising agencies including Indian Parliament.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is quite good but isn't available in every region. Being a day scholar, I am not familiar with the hostel food, but my hostel friends told that the mess food wasn't that good. The library has lots of books and is of top-notch quality. The computer labs aren't that high class but have required equipment.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty members are qualified and have the educated knowledge, but there is a lack of taking the classes among the selected faculty members. The curriculum is relevant and it makes the students perfectly aligned with the industry. Simple and application-based practical assignments have been done earlier.
Other: Events like Onam and Gokulashtami enhance the campus life.

Revies of Amrita School of Communication - Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University.
Placements: Amrita mass communication offer placements in 2 firms this time. But I didn't attend for any of those. Students who wanted to pursue masters it was fine. But for others, it proved to be difficult as without placements it's nearly impossible to get jobs anywhere. Placements are a necessity.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The campus is huge and lush green. Classrooms were well-equipped with equipment, but computer labs etc. could have been better. There were times when we desperately needed the system and the internet, and we were disappointed. So that can be improved.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good when we joined the course, but later on, they left college. New faculty members were allotted. It proved to be difficult for us, as the new faculty were trying to get their footing in the college. The course curriculum was pretty good, and it's helpful for students who want to pursue masters in the media field.

Review of Amrita School of Communication - Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University.
Placements: Internships are mandatory for B.A. students at the end of their 2nd year. Preferably in a print or AD agency. So through that, students get an opportunity to work for some prestigious organisations like The Hindu, Times of India and some AD agencies like FCB Ulca.
Infrastructure: The campus is lush green with a serene atmosphere. Sports facilities are also provided. It is a dream campus for any student. The college provides 24x7 Wi-Fi, and studio facilities for mass communication students have added benefits. The beautiful campus serves as an excellent location for people who are interested in short film making.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-learned and experienced. They are jovial to the students. Mass communication family is one small family, where faculty and students have good bonding. Guides are allocated for projects, and they are very helpful and knowledgeable. Students can gain much knowledge from them.
Other: The campus crowd is diverse nature, and friendly to move around without any discrimination regarding the department. The college organises fest and events like Anokha, and it is the time when campus beams with lights and energy.

Other: Amrita School of Communication is the most apt option for the ones who are pursuing to become a media professional and who want to stand out of the crowd. While there is more inclination towards Journalism there is ample classes conducted which covers the topics such as marketing, advertising, CSR, photography and so on. Students will be lucky enough to interact with media professionals who have greatly contributed in their concerned field of profession.
