The MAT 2024 exams for the August session are over, and the results will be released by the 1st week of Sep 2024. For the December session, MAT 2024 registrations will begin soon.

Q: What is the criteria for Amrita MBA?

To be eligible for admission at Amrita School of Business Kollam, applicants must meet the following requirements:

They must have a minimum aggregate of 50% in 10th, 12th, and undergraduate studies. Those in their final year can apply with their last completed semester results.

The CAT exam is always conducted on the last Sunday of November every year so the CAT 2024 exam is expected to be conducted on Nov 24, 2024. Official announcement of the CAT 2024 exam date will be made by the convening IIM on Jul 30, 2024. The announcement will be made at the iimcat.ac.in website as well as in all the national dailies across India. We at Shiksha also notify the aspirants through our communication channels. Q: How many times is MAT conducted in a year?

MAT is conducted multiple times a year. Most of the MBA entrance exams in India are conducted annually. MAT is the only exam which is conducted multiple times in four phases and multiple exam modes. To make it possible for every MBA aspirant to appear for an entrance exam, AIMA designed MAT which can be taken by candidates from an exam centre as well as at home. The exam is held in February, May, September and December which allows candidates to prepare and plan for it as well as MBA Admission. In each of these four months, the MAT is conducted in CBT, PBT and IBT modes. Candidates can choose a date and a mode of exam as per their preparation and convenience. A college of rich experience of faculty and 100% Placement .

Placements: Till date 97% students have been placed still placements are going and the highest salary offered is 10LPA, the lowest 4.5LPA and avg 5.5LPA. Byjus, future group, away, federal bank are the top recruiting companies and 100% got internship at Amul, cocacola, cavinkare, berger paints for internship and top roles offered are, BDE, Dy. Regional Officer and Mgt. Trainee.

Infrastructure: Facilities here are average I would say, as the building is 3 floors, 1 floor is for other dept. and top and ground is our dept so facilities are less but teaching and staff are damn good and teaches well and classroom are equipped with smartboard which makes learning interesting. Hostel rooms are good but the mess food is below average and one would not like to have it on a regular basis though we have lots of restaurants nearby so we eat from there mostly. Sometimes we eat from mess and canteens are available with limited menu and no sports and games facilities are there inside hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and very much highly qualified with rich knowledge and experience from industries and majority are Ph.D. holders. The curriculum is apt and is perfect for a student to be industry ready with knowledge to learn from practical examples.

Placements: Our college is a preferred destination to recruit from, for a large number of companies.Good quality experience is provide to students when a majority of our students are successfully placed on campus. Each of programmes are designed to give our students a balanced education with theory as well as practical knowledge. In addition, they are encouraged to participate in extra curricular activities as it helps them develop soft skills and develop well rounded personalities. Infrastructure: Nice and spacious library : Around 3,000 current journal titles.Over 20,000 electronic resources, including databases, journals and books. A substantial media (CD and DVD) collection. The library is searchable via the library catalogue. But it is not only our library you will have access to u2013 as a BITS Pilani student you can use a network of other libraries via our membership.

A place for your studies with fun.

Placements: More than 100 companies come for placements every year. We have 4 campuses at Kolam, Cochin, Coimbatore and Bangalore. All campus students will attend placements at the Coimbatore campus, so you have to travel to Coimbatore campus every time a company comes for placement. The intimation will be given 2 days prior. About 95 percent of the students were placed on the campus itself. The average package is around 5 lakhs/annum, the highest is 12 lakhs/annum and the lowest is 3 lakhs/annum. For the internship, not many companies came through the college, but students prefer to do it on their own mostly.

Infrastructure: You have good facilities in the college like Wi-Fi and a library. All classes are taken only through projectors and the board where they are essential. Hostel rooms are very good and comfortable (only 2 per room). The food was not bad as it was a simple typical Kerala food in the canteens.

Faculty: They have excellent faculty members with a rich industry experience. They are very friendly and helpful All teaching sessions will be more of a practical approach than theory. You have a project for most of the subjects you study to understand it better. They offer a wide variety of subjects in the second year to choose in all verticals.

Other: It is an excellent college to do MBA. There is always fun in studying in Amrita. We celebrate all kind of festivals like Pongal, Christmas, Diwali, Holi and Guru Poornima. There is also a college fest every year. We have college trips once in a year and an industrial visit too.

Good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The placement has been a lot better from last some years. There were constant visitors like Deloitte, KPMG, Khimji Ramdas, Zoho, Bank of New York, TCS and many more. The highest package offered is 12-13 LPA. Many students got opportunities to do international internships from the college itself in the companies like Barakat Juice, etc.

Infrastructure: The Amritapuri Campus is spread over 80 acres of land in one of the most beautiful and picturesque locales of the Kerala coastal line. It is currently home to numerous schools and research centers. ICTS is the primary provider of IT, telecommunication, computing and related facilities. There are 2650 computers and 100 high-end servers deployed at the Amritapuri Campus. The ISP connectivity is fault tolerant and provides a speed of 68 Mbps in high-availability as well as load-sharing modes. The quality of labs and class rooms are very high. The hostel food and canteen is very hygienic.

Faculty: Faculty of Amrita campus is very helpful and highly qualified. Mainly in MBA curriculum, they are giving more importance to the assignments and presentations. The major portion of marks can be scored through this work. The curriculum is very helpful. It also provides industry exposure.

MBA at Amrita School of Business, Kollam.

Placements: Placements were pretty good for us. Around 110 companies visited our college. I assume about 80% students got placed during this placement process. Companies like Philips, Deloitte, KPMG, ITC, Coca Cola, Pantaloons, Cognizant, etc. visited. The highest salary was around 9 lacs per annum and the average salary was about 4 lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: Our college is fully equipped with smart classes, Wi-Fi, library, conference rooms, etc. The quality of food in the canteen is very good. The hostels are pretty neat and tidy and they have all type of equipment. There are basketball, cricket, and football courts in our college. I did not face any sort of issue in our college.

Faculty: The information and knowledge shared by the faculty was very helpful. There are professors who have graduated from IIT, IIM, etc. and those who were the former faculty of Harward, IIT, IIM, etc. The teachers used practical classes to explain so that the students have a better experience while learning. We had a lot of projects which helped us gain industry experience.

Other: Out of the four campuses of ASB, Amritapuri (Kollam) has the special touch of spirituality and motherly love with a special bliss. It was not just the management lessons that we got, but indeed the lessons on the ways of life itself. Now within the past one year after completing my MBA there has been a lot going on in life and at work place, but the lessons and experiences from this beautiful place has always come handy and they will be a major tool to face and fix all the difficulties at work. The most important asset for a management school are the faculties and ASB Amritapuri is and will always be rich with the most experienced and student friendly faculties. For those who are considering ASB Amritapuri, the one thing I can guarantee is that you will have the best 2 years of your life when you are here. A place where MBA is both fun and learning.
