Really suggestable college, extremely good quality of education and infrastructure facilities.
Placements: I am from the 2022 MBBS batch. I am sure that if you graduate from Amrita, there is no doubt about your placement. Moreover, after being an MBBS graduate, there is no point in talking about placement percentages. We have our alumni even in international sports teams working as Sports Physicians.
Infrastructure: All lecture halls are air-conditioned. There are dedicated audio systems in all lecture halls. Lecture halls are well ventilated and equipped with good lighting systems. Seating arrangements are excellent, with completely cushioned seats. There are separate labs in all departments, which are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. All labs are well furnished with the most modern equipment. We have a huge library with all sorts of references, journals, etc. The library can easily accommodate more than 150 students at a time and is equipped with modern computers. Hostel facilities are well above the mark, with dedicated study halls that are air-conditioned. The food given in the hostel and on campus is pure vegetarian only. I must say that the quality of food is not up to the mark. The menu is not much recommendable. We have all sorts of sports equipment in the hostel, along with a gymnasium. The entire campus, along with the hostel, is always under CCTV surveillance. Ragging is strictly prohibited on campus and in the hostel, and defaulters will be directly brought in front of the law.
Faculty: The teaching quality is extremely good as we have the best-qualified teachers in the country. They are really helpful and are always willing to clarify our doubts, even after working hours. All teachers are always in research mode to make new, more effective teaching methods, and the best part is that they try to hear the students' side too. The course curriculum we follow is created by the National Medical Commission and UGMEB. Each and every instruction from the NMC is followed without fail. As we have state-of-the-art facilities in the hospital, we are exposed to all sorts of machines, labs, etc. This definitely makes the student industry-ready. The exam difficulty levels are on par with other universities. Theory papers are evaluated by external examiners, and we have external invigilators from other universities for practical exams too. We have very good pass percentages.
Other: I chose the course solely based on my decision, as this is my passion. Serving humanity is serving God. It would be really welcoming if the division of subjects in the course according to the years was more rational. We have annual arts and sports fests conducted every year without fail. We always participate in inter-college sports fests. As Amrita is one of the best tertiary care hospitals in the country, we have heavy patient flow. We have patients from other countries like the Maldives, Oman, etc. There is a rumor that students are not allowed to visit all patients here. But this is completely wrong, and we have enough patient exposure. The only thing is that students should utilize the opportunity. The campus surroundings are so huge that we have a bank branch inside the campus. Various stationery stores are also present inside the campus. Edappally Railway Station is just next to the campus, so we are not facing any difficulties in going home and coming back. The girls' hostel is pretty strict, and they have to go through some hectic procedures to get clearance to go home. I don’t think this is good in an era like this.

One of the best private college for Medical courses.
Placements: The highest package offered is Rs.30 Lacs per year for NRI quota and Rs.18 to 20 Lacs for general quota students. 90% of the students go for PG entrance exams, rest get placements in a good hospital including Aster, AIIMS, KIMS. Job placement for students from Amrita is 100% as it is a very reputed college and they also have a tie ups with Cambridge University.
Infrastructure: The School of Medicine building provides houses, laboratories, lecture halls and a well-furnished central library complete with an outstanding collection of the latest editions of international and Indian medical books and journals. It also provides electronic access to many scientific and medical databases in India and abroad. An Anatomy Museum has been established with all the latest teaching devices with elaborate models detailing the different parts of the human body. The library has computer facilities with internet. There is no Wi-Fi in the campus or hostel. Hostel has good facilities with an accommodation of 3 people in a room in first year and 2 people in a room from second year. The rooms are pretty spacious. Gym facility is available in the hostel. Food in the mess is average and lastly there is a basketball ball court in the hostel and a cafe too.
Faculty: The facilities are highly qualified, knowledgeable, helpful and approachable. The faculty members are the best part of the college. The curriculum is based on the directives of the Medical Council of India. The course involves both theory classes and practical sessions. Clinical exposure begins in the second year with classes conducted by clinical specialists emphasizing the relevance of the basic sciences to clinical practices. Hospital postings and field visits to public health centers aim at exposing the candidate to different scenarios in which doctors in India might find themselves, and how to go about providing the best care in all the circumstances. The exams are pretty hard and the pass percentage is 90 to 95%. .
Other: MBBS is one of the best course you can join through which you can provide a service to the society and earn money. The PG entrance exam in India should be recognized in the foreign countries also.
