Really beautiful campus and good infrastructure and faculty .
Placements: As KGMU is one of the prestigious medical colleges in India, the placement rate, or rather the PG selection rate, is very high. Approximately 200 students out of a batch of 250 get selected for PG as MD/MS. The salary in PG is around 1 lakh to 1 lakh 30 thousand per month. Many students from my college get selected at AIIMS Delhi, MAMC Delhi, and other renowned colleges in India. KGMU's PG selection rate is equivalent to AIIMS Delhi. After the final year of MBBS, there is a mandatory internship for all. Students are posted in each department for one month and learn important skills. The stipend during the internship is 12,500, which is low compared to AIIMS colleges.
Infrastructure: As I mentioned, KGMU is located in Lucknow, the capital of UP, which is known for its heritage. This is also reflected in my college. Our campus is very beautiful; it's more like a tourist place. The college has many modern facilities. There is the Kalam Center, a modern teaching block equipped with high-tech technologies. The apex testing centers and research labs are top-level in India. The hostel buildings are not so attractive because they were built in the 90s, but the facilities are good enough for a proper life. The food available at the hostel is very good in quality and value for money. You don't have to buy extra food from restaurants. The mess food is also of good quality. As we are in a medical college, there are no worries about medical facilities. There is an annual sports meet held every year with athletic events, cricket, football, and many other games. There is also an intercollege competition where participants come from other colleges. The playground has good lighting and grass.
Faculty: The KGMU faculty is very talented and experienced. All faculty members are ranked among the top doctors in India in their respective fields. I want to mention one of our alumni, Dr. Naresh Trehan, owner of the Medanta group of hospitals, who is also the personal doctor of our president. Our faculty is so skillful that they deliver every medical concept in an extraordinary way. The MBBS curriculum is relevant and essential to becoming a good doctor. Apart from terminal exams and award-leaving tests, there is a professional exam (semester exam) held every year at the end of the year, which is very demanding. The passing percentage is 50 percent, but all students who come here after clearing UP NEET with good marks can clear the exams.
Other: Since childhood, I have heard that doctors are like a shadow of God. So, in class 11, I decided to become a doctor, and after clearing UP NEET, I landed here at KGMU. As my college is prestigious and located in the capital of UP, there is a heavy patient load in OPD and IPD. The trauma center is the second largest in India, so you can learn many skills from the high patient load and the variety of diseases and clinical cases, which might be lacking in peripheral medical colleges. The powerful extravaganza event named Rhapsody is held every year at our college. Rhapsody is a 3-day event, and on the last day, we invite a celebrity for a star night. Our event, Rhapsody, is very famous among other medical colleges.

One of the best colleges in Uttar Pradesh.
Placements: Approximately 80 percentage students were placed in our course. The average package offered in our course is approximately 8 Lacs. There are many recruiting companies for our course like Apollo, Lilavati Hospital, and many more. Almost all the students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: It is one of the best colleges in Uttar Pradesh. The infrastructure is very good. There are many facilities provided by our college like playground, library, and many more. There are many hostels on our campus and the quality of food in the mess is hygienic and healthy.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of our college is very good. The course curriculum is also relevant. Yes, it also makes students industry-ready. The semester exams in our college are quite difficult, but all the students passed with good marks.

Great academics but the infrastructure is quite old.
Placements: Medical College does not have placement drives but there is a compulsory two-year bond that every MBBS pass out has to do. In which one gets to work in a government hospital at a good salary but there are not a lot of chances that one gets due to passing out of the large number of doctors and not everybody gets bond jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite old. But the good thing Is that it gives you a single seater, double seater and triple seater room in a hostel at a reasonable price. There is no Wi-Fi in the hostel or college. The mess is quite good too. We have our grounds for playing.
Faculty: The teachers here are really qualified. They teach us everything in depth. We have semester exams that are a little conceptual but easy. The curriculum is given to us by KGMC. This college is at 3rd rank in all colleges in Uttar Pradesh. The labs are good too.

B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2026
4.4
3Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
I am satisfied with my college because of flexibility and good facilities.
Placements: My course is not for companies, but the salary of a government nurse is 80k-90k per month. Students have to pass an entrance exam for a government job in government hospitals such as KGMU, PGI, RML, and AIIMS NORCET. Top roles are Nursing Officers, Assistant Nursing Officers, Senior Nursing Officers, and Award Incharge.
Infrastructure: All the basic facilities are available in my college, such as Wi-Fi all over the department, labs for practical skill development, computer labs, classrooms with air conditioning, and a library with air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Hostels are good, with comfortable furniture and almirahs, a library, water coolers with RO, and toilets and bathrooms are cleaned daily. Sweepers are available and they clean rooms and toilets every day. Above-average quality food is available in the mess and canteen. Every student has a health card, which allows them to take treatment from KGMU at zero cost. Sardar Patel Ground, known as SP Ground, is used for sports such as basketball, football, tennis, volleyball, cricket, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified with Master's and Doctorate degrees. Teaching quality is good, and teaching skills are demonstrated with practical examples. The course curriculum is relevant, and through this course, most students get government jobs in government hospitals. International jobs are also available as the demand for nurses is very high in foreign countries. Semester exams are a little difficult, but students can pass the exam with normal studies. 95% of students pass the semester exam.
Other: I want to work in the medical field and secure a government job, so I chose this course because the vacancy for nurses in government hospitals is increasing. The best things about our course are clinical skill development, people skill development, and communication skill development. Nursing teaches students how to care for patients and how to handle their situations, behavior, feelings, and problems. The best part is communication, as nurses can easily build professional relationships with patients to provide quality care and solve all their doubts regarding treatment. Every month, events are organized for students to develop extra skills and knowledge. The college fest, known as 'Rhapsody,' happens every year with a huge crowd. The campus is surrounded by greenery, with lots of trees, gardens, buildings, shops, and canteens. UP and National Scholarships are available, and every student receives their scholarship. Sports, skits, dance, singing, poster-making competitions, and Yoga Day are among the many extracurricular activities held.

Our college is best college.
Placements: Our college has 200 students per batch. After completing the fourth year, we have to do an internship where we deal with patients. The MBBS course is five years long. Our role is to serve the nation and personality development.
Infrastructure: Our college has very good infrastructure. The classrooms are very big and clean, and the library is fully air-conditioned, so we can study without any disturbance. The hostel is also very big, neat, and clean, and cleaning is done regularly. Mess food is available.
Faculty: The facilities at our college are very experienced and well qualified. They help students a lot. However, MBBS is a very tough course, so you have to study very hard for the semester exams. Otherwise, we will have to take a supplementary exam.
Other: I think serving the nation is the best thing in the world. After completing MBBS, you deal with patients with different problems. It would be better to improve our course so that we don't get too hectic. The facilities at our college are very experienced and well qualified, and they help students a lot.

Infrastructure: The college has really good infrastructure. There are all the services and facilities available. We have multiple seminar halls and air-conditioned classrooms. The hostel quality is also good and just in the process too. The sports courts are also available.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and well educated. All of them have a lot of experience in their field of study. The course curriculum is also very relevant. Yes, it also makes students industry-ready. The exams are moderately difficult to pass. But still, all of us pass it.

Cutoff FAQs

Q:   What are the factors affecting KGMU cutoff 2024?

A:

Every year, the cut off marks for the KGMU NEET exam are affected due to the following factors:

  • The difficulty level of the exam. In case the question paper is easy then the NEET cut offs are expected to go high and vice-versa.
  • Total number of applications received. If the total applications received are less then the cut off is expected to be relaxed.
  • Total candidates qualifying NEET exam. If the total number of qualifying candidates is less than the total seats then cut off goes low
  • Total number of seats. If the total number of seats is revised and increased then cut off is expected to remain low
  • Previous year cut offs. For the top colleges, the cut-off marks in previous years were high, therefore, only topper candidates could make it for final admissions. Fore other colleges, the cut off marks are relatively low.
