D.Pharma at Amrita in a nutshell.
Placements: Till now, none of us have gotten any information about placements. Placements for Ph.D. students are very limited. We get to do our internship at Amrita Hospital in Kochi itself during our 6th year. During that time, we get exposed to every department in hospital and it is very helpful.
Infrastructure: We have 1 computer lab for undergraduate students and 1 other lab for PG and Ph.D. students. Both of them has AC. The PG labs has AC and they are pretty cool. Undergraduate labs don't have AC. The hostel is pretty strict. Mess food is bad; only vegetarian option is available. Medical facilities are great; an ambulance is available 24/7.
Faculty: All of our teaching faculty members have Ph.D.s, and they explain their concepts in a variety of ways. They explain the concepts and then we prepare our own notes by referring to text from the library. We have a wide collection of books there. This is a year-based course, not semester-based. We need 50% in university exams to pass; it is pretty hard to pass. Evaluation is very strict .
