B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2023
3.6

Best college in Andhra Pradesh.
Placements: In my stream, approximately 60% of the students were placed and the highest package was 22 LPA and the company was Samsung Semiconductor. The lowest package was 3.6 LPA. And the average package was 5.6 to 7 LPA. In my stream, the top companies are Effectronics, and Cerium Systems, and the role is junior trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good in my college and labs and classrooms are very spacious. There is Wi-Fi availability throughout the campus. Coming to the library, it is very big and they have numerous books which are useful for semesters and also for GATE exams. Hostel rooms are very spacious and they provide 1 room for two people. The mess food is also good and there is a medical doctor for the campus, especially for hostel students.
Faculty: The teachers were very qualified. They always try to guide us. The course curriculum is very related to the industry and especially my stream, Electronics and Communication Engineering, is related to semiconductors, which is very well taught in this college. The semester exams were easy to moderate, and the pass percentage is 92.

Trust me you will definitely love it.
Placements: I'm currently pursuing my 3rd year at Andhra University in CSE. I'm the 2026 pass-out batch. The highest package was 43 LPA. The lowest was 4-5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, WIPRO, Atlassian, Amazon, Microsoft, Cisco, Accenture, Oracle and many more. Internships are also provided.
Infrastructure: 1. *CSE Department Infrastructure*: Andhra University offers a well-equipped CSE department with modern classrooms, advanced computer labs, and high-speed internet for effective learning and research. 2. *Hostel Facilities*: The hostels provide comfortable accommodation with furnished rooms, clean dining facilities, and 24/7 security. 3. *Library and Learning Resources*: Students have access to a centralized library with a vast collection of books, e-resources, and study materials. 4. *Campus Amenities*: The campus features recreational space, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a conducive environment for academic and personal growth.
Faculty: Andhra University CSE department offers a well-structured curriculum covering core subjects like Data Structures, Algorithms, and emerging technologies like AI and Cloud Computing, with an emphasis on practical learning. The department features modern labs, high-speed internet, and excellent faculty support. Hostels provide comfortable accommodation, clean dining, and 24/7 security. Exams follow a semester-based system with internal assessment, end-semester tests, and practical evaluation. Lab sessions and mini-projects enhance hands-on skills and real-world problem-solving. A holistic grading system ensures a comprehensive evaluation of academic and practical expertise.
Other: It also conducts many events. Also support sports and hackathons; it also has many clubs.

No social life even in 2024.
Placements: The placement in our college is very bad and only 20 or 30% of our seniors have been placed. In our batch, no one has got place yet. Top recruiting companies in our college are Cognizant and Accenture. Roles offered in companies are mostly of special programmer.
Infrastructure: There are no special type of facilities available in the classroom, like Wi-Fi and lamps. They sell like the rat that has just pooped in library. We have to clean our own library with the tested book. We don't have any proper place for even studying .
Faculty: Teacher don't really know what they are teaching and they just look into the textbook and read it. Our course curriculum is good, but they don't give us any privilege to choose our own open electives. Semester exams are quite difficult and pass percentage is above ninety five.

Dissatisfied with placements.
Placements: The placements are average because many companies will not visit the campus. Some companies will visit, but they won't prefer the students. They select very few of them. The CGPA requirement is quite high. Many students opt for higher studies. They don't prefer campus placements.
Infrastructure: The campus is quite good. The infrastructure is great, but the hostels are not so good because it has been a campus for over a hundred years, so the hostels are not like the modern hostels. The food in the hostel is just average, but if you are a very low spicy eater, then the food might taste spicy.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, but in some subjects, there is not enough faculty. The course is curriculum-relevant, but it doesn't make the students ready for the industry because the syllabus is outdated. The semester exams are generally based on theory. If you've any difficulty with theory, then it might be tough.

Dissatisfied with the lack of industry readiness, self-learning, and open abundant placements.
Placements: Almost 90% of students got placed. The lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. Mine is a women's campus. The highest salary package offered is 11 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. Top recruiters are Infosys, Accenture, PwC, and TCS. Almost 90% of students who got placed got internships along with jobs. Top roles offered are software engineer and system engineer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is only available in staff rooms and the signal won't reach more than that. We have a few smart boards only in a few rooms. The library has new books also. Only a few lab systems are working. I am a day scholar, so, my friends always complain about the hostel food quality. The canteen is set up newly. Ambulance comes very quickly in medical emergency cases. We can play in the ground in the middle of campus, but only when it is grass-free.
Faculty: Teachers have knowledge but won't explain it in depth. They rush to complete the syllabus for exams. Only we have to read to clear exams. The course curriculum is old and not industry-ready. Semester exams are easy. Questions are always asked from the previous papers' questions. The pass percentage is 99-100%.

College atmosphere is decent, it is better for foreigners students to study at Andhra University.
Placements: It is tough to get placements but then we will get good recommendations. We will get support from concerned department head for sure. And due to the demand of Certificate from this university companies do offer good packages (out of the campus jobs). That is about it.
Infrastructure: It's not that great, and we do have smart learning panel. And good lab facilities. The computer labs are pretty decent and they do make sure they are updated and advanced, and Wi-Fi is there, student can play games (out door, indoor) we do have 800 acers of campus.
Faculty: Staff is good, and teachers are very experienced. Especially foreigners who study at Andhra University they like it here in the campus and students are friendly they become buddies real quick. They help each other in communication and they study together to get higher ranks.
Other: Would suggest to start learning courses outside college before they teach.
