AP PGECET 2024: Phase II Seat Allotment List for PGECET-Qualified Candidates (Out), Check Counselling Dates, Eligibility, Exam Pattern & Syllabus

AP PGECET is the abbreviated form of the Andhra Pradesh Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test. It is conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Candidates who qualify for the exam are admitted to Engineering / Pharmacy colleges and their affiliated colleges approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.

AP PGECET 2024 Application Form

The AP-PGECET M.Tech application form was released on March 23, 2024, online on the official website. The last date to submit the application form without a late fee was April 20, 2024. The application process includes various stages, such as registration, filling out the application form, fee payment, uploading a photo and signature, and submission of the application form. Candidates have to fill out the application form with the correct details. The correction facility for AP PGECET was available from May 8 to May 14, 2024. How to fill out the AP PGECET 2024 application form:

There are 4 Steps in filing the AP PGECET online application.

Step-1: Fee Payment: Candidates can make Online Fee Payment through this option.

Step 2: Know your Payment status: Candidates can check the Success/Failure status of Fee Payment.

Step 3: Fill Application (Only After Fee Payment): After fee payment, candidates should fill in the Application form using this option.

Step-4: Print Application Form (Only After Submitting Application Form): After application form submission, candidates can print the submitted form.

AP PGECET 2024 Correction facility

The AP PGECET 2024 facility for correcting a submitted application form was available from May 8 to May 14, 2024. However, no changes will be allowed once the due date has passed. The candidates have to make the necessary corrections within the correction window. Only certain sections of the form, such as signature and photograph, qualifying examination details, place of study, year of passing, mother's name, place of birth, etc., can be edited. Candidates must follow the instructions on how to make corrections on the official website of AP PGECET 2024. The correction process was only done online.

AP PGECET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for writing the test:

Candidates should meet the given below requirements to be able to write the exam:

• Candidates should be Indian nationals.
• They should be residents of Andhra Pradesh and satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974, as subsequently amended.
• Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelor's qualifying degree or its equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of reserved category candidates) from an AICTE/UGC approved institution recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent to it for admission into the relevant ME/ MTech/ MPharma courses corresponding to the Degrees.
• Candidates pursuing a BTech course or its equivalent/BPharm course will be eligible for admission to relevant ME/MTech/ MPharma courses only if they have completed the prescribed course and passed all the subjects for the award of degree by the concerned university on the date of counselling for admission into the colleges.

Eligibility for admission to ME/ MTech/ MPharm:

• Candidates should have qualified AP PGECET and in the test paper relevant to the course they seek admission.
• Mere appearance does not entitle students to be considered for admission to their preferred course unless they satisfy the eligibility requirements and other related criteria.
• Admission to 85% of the seats in each course is reserved for local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats will be un-reserved seats as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amen
• While filling seats in colleges, first preference will be given to aspirants who have qualified for GATE / GPAT based on their test scores. The remaining seats will be filled with candidates qualified in AP PGECET as per their merit ranks.

The syllabus incorporates important chapters and topics that are essential for the examination. Candidates must go through all the details before starting their preparation. They should study all the topics to obtain good marks in the exam. The syllabus for AP PGECET 2024 was released on the official website. The exam pattern imparts various details, such as the total number of questions, marking scheme, and exam duration. Candidates seeking admission should be well aware of the exam pattern to understand the weightage of each section. 

The exam conducting authority has released the AP PGECET 2024 question papers with preliminary keys on the official website at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Candidates can download from there. The AP PGECET admit card 2024 was released on May 22, 2024, online at the official website. Candidates appearing for the exam must enter their login details to download the admit card. The admit card is an important document, and candidates must keep it safe until the admissions process is over. Without an admit card, no candidate can enter the exam hall.

The AP PGECET 2024 result was announced on June 19, 2024. The AP PGECET 2025 result was released on the official website. To check the result, candidates must provide their login credentials. The AP PGECET 2024 result includes various details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, marks obtained, rank secured, etc. The exam authority will not share the result via email or post. Post-examination, successful candidates will be called to participate in counselling.

Qualifying Marks for AP PGECET

The qualifying percentage mark for obtaining a rank in AP PGECET is 25%, i.e., 30 marks out of 120. However, there are no minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates.

APSCHE has started the Phase II counselling process for AP PGECET (GATE/GPAT-qualified) candidates' admissions. The Phase II counselling seat allotment list for GATE/GPAT candidates was released on September 30, 2024, for GATEGPAT-qualified candidates. The allotment list for PGECET-qualified candidates was released on October 7, 2024. The counselling process encompasses registration, choice filling, locking, seat allotment, and reporting. Eligible candidates can exercise AP PGECET counselling online. After the counselling, candidates must report to the allotted college and pay the required fee to confirm their seats. 

After the AP PGECET 2024, the exam conducting authority released the candidates' results and rank cards. Qualified candidates can participate in the counselling process through AP PGECET 2024.
