    A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, I have searched various sources but the information that you are seeking that is at what percentile one can get admission in this Anil Surendra Modi school of Commerce for various courses is just not available. Information about closing percentile is available for the MBA courses that it's parent body conducts. However this BSc in finance is not a course which is perhaps at top of the priority of students hence there are bright chances that even with the percentile of 56, one may get admission for this course which is available at two of its 8 campuses.

Q:   What are the top Scholarships for B Sc. at Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce and how to avail them?

    A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, scholarships is a very interesting topic. Government of India or the local state governments in which the campuses are located offer many scholarships but only to the students belonging to the challenged sections of the society. This being a privately funded school or college it does not give any concession in fees such strata of students and fees in general are quite stiff as compared with those in government colleges. Be that as it may all institutes have to bid for students to see admission as then only these institutions can run smoothly. For this many Institutes device schemes which are attractive in nature and good for advertisement but hardly of any value to the student community in general. Hence the scholarships offered by private institutions including this or very minimal in number and they have many criterias which a student has to full film before he can get the scholarship. The college administration definitely helps students in applying for and giving the knowledge of many such schemes or scholarships which are being offered by different departments of the Government of India or the concerned state government. Students can definitely take advantage of this and apply for scholarships.

But unfortunately the information about number of such scholarships and the amount which these scholarships endow on students is not available in any of the sources that I could check.

In the link that I am at action information on this topic.

NMIMS- from the eyes of a CFA Aspirant.
Placements: 80-90% of the students who sat in placements were recruited by a company, with the average package ranging from 5-7 Lacs. The highest package given in my course was 10 Lacs. The placements in NMIMS are perfect if you just want to get 2-3 years of job experience before your post graduate degree.
Infrastructure: All the classrooms are well furnished with working AC's and a smartboard. There is Wi-Fi but it is pretty slow, so better to use mobile data. The food of the canteen is pretty feasible and is also good quality for the price. There is no such sports and gaming facilities available in the college premises.
Faculty: The faculty for the course are excellent. They are very well versed with the subject and full of knowledge. They clear all the doubts and make us understand each concept clearly. The subject is also very relevant for the future as it will help you crack the CFA Exam.
Other: There is no campus since it's just a building, but the crowd here is quite good.

Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi to all students. The college has air conditioned classrooms. There are 3 big computer labs dedicated to our course. Every classroom has a touchscreen LCD. The college also has a multi floored library. Online library facility is also provided.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, They provide insights into corporate world, undertake research papers with students to add on LinkedIn. It includes aspects like financial modelling, debt markets. Passing percentage- 40%- internals, 40%- externals and 50%- subtotal.

    Is NMIMS Mumbai worth it?
Placements: Most students from BSc Finance pursue a career in Investment banking, Private equity, Equity research or Consulting. NMIMS has a record of stellar placements. Many big giants come to NMIMS for recruitment. The average package for Bsc Finance at NMIMS Mumbai is around 10-14 lpa.
Infrastructure: NMIMS has a well equipped campus including labs, high-tech classrooms, strong Wi-Fi, library and E-library. It also provides to access to various softwares that facilitate learning (eg. Turnitin, scopus, research gate, etc). Unfortunately NMIMS does not have any hostel facilities.
Faculty: The faculties at NMIMS are experts in their field and are ready to help you beyond classrooms. Bsc Finance course is designed at par with CFA level 1. So, anyone interested in the field of finance would be a good fit. It follows a semester system. A total of 8 semesters in 4 years. The course is challenging but the students give it there all and therefore the passing percentage is considerably high.
Other: I personally chose this course because the course structure aligns with my interests and passion for finance. Also, the location of the college played an important part as studying in the finance capital of the country and getting industry exposure through real life projects and other opportunities inspired me to join.

Our college provides good faculty members and curriculum but has a deceptive infrastructure.
Placements: Our college has 100% placements. I'm not aware of the highest and the lowest salary packages. However, the average salary package offered ranges from 5 LPA - 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies including EY, DE Shaw, Tresvista, Barclays, JP Morgan and many more visit our campus. The placement cell does provide internships. However, I didn't opt for the same. One drawback about the placement overall is the lack of clarity and guidance to the students by the college. However, that is compensated if the students talk to their respective seniors.
Infrastructure: B.Sc, Finance, BBA and B.Com courses of ASMSOC are given the 'Mithibai building' as their campus. The main SBM building is still accessible for the library, Bloomberg terminal and canteen but not for daily lectures. The 7th and 8th floor of the Mithibai building is reserved for the 3 courses mentioned above. We would have preferred the main building as we were shown that in the brochure too, but this is not bad either.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are amazing. They are very qualified and very helpful in every aspect. They're extremely knowledgeable and understanding. Students can approach them at any time and for any queries without hesitation. The overall curriculum is also good and is inclusive of the various aspects of finance.
Other: The clubs and events on campus are great. Don't miss out on them. They form a part of your personality and college life.

Review of NMIMS Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce, Mumbai.
Placements: I hadn't applied for the college placements, so I am not very much aware of that. However, there were many companies for on-campus and off-campus placements, and most of them are mass recruiters. The average salary package offered was 4.5 LPA. But the placement process was stringent.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is not as our college claimed, and we need to arrange on our own, and Wi-Fi facility was provided to every student and was efficient within the campus. Classrooms were fully air-conditioned and properly maintained. The campus has a 3-storeyed building, which had classrooms, canteen, corridors and a library.
Faculty: Teachers here were mostly from a professional background with adequate experience as both professional and teacher. As the teaching was mostly through notes and lectures, the project was difficult for me because we should have practical knowledge and should apply our knowledge. Teachers were mainly helpful for project-related queries.

Completely satisfied with the faculty but disappointed by the campus.
Placements: Placements here weren't that great, and the companies that visit here for placements are also not as good as expected by NMIMS. My course doesn't even have a lot of graduated batches with which we can compare the placements. So hopefully the coming batches will have better placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college as compared to the fees is not that great. We have the same campus as Mithibai and NM College where they aren't even paying 1/4th of our fees. NMIMS website shows the new building as the campus, but when you actually go, it's not that. Only specific courses are conducted in the new building, which is not fair. They should clearly mention the campus for respective courses.
Faculty: The course curriculum is very good and the faculty as well. There is no doubt that the college has very good courses, and the teaching pattern and subjects are very good. I feel B.Sc. finance is a very good course introduced by NMIMS, and the fields they cover under it are very interesting.
