Q:   Is Apex Group of Institutions good for B.Arch?

    A:
    {Source: B.Arch students & alumni}

Here's a summary of what students and alumni have to say:

    * Teaching Quality: Faculty members are qualified and experienced, with most having over 10 years of practice in the field. They provide practical knowledge and conduct field trips to construction sites.
    * Curriculum: The course curriculum involves design problems in each semester, which helps develop problem-solving skills.
    * Placement: Unfortunately, placements are non-existent in the Architecture department. Students need to rely on self-initiative to secure internships and jobs.
    * Infrastructure: Facilities such as studios, canteens, hostels, and messes are available, but they leave much to be desired. Cockroaches have been reported in food, and the hostel ducting and drinking water systems require improvement.
    * Overall Experience: While the college has its strengths, the poor infrastructure and lack of placements make it challenging for students. However, those who ignore these drawbacks may still benefit from the program.

In conclusion, while Apex Group of Institutions may have its positives, particularly in terms of faculty quality and curriculum, the lack of placements and poor infrastructure might deter some prospective students. It's essential to weigh these factors when considering admission to the institution.

The infrastructure is good, and the faculty are well-qualified.
Placements: Students who want to continue in this field got placed. There is no actual package for the architecture course, as it is based on your understanding and skills in this field. Gaining practical knowledge is essential as you have to work on-site and also off-site.
Infrastructure: The facilities in our college are good. As I am a day scholar, I don't know much about the hostel, but the infrastructure of our hostel and college is good. I don't know about the hostel food, but the college has a canteen, and the food is good there. The college canteen is common for faculty and students.
Faculty: There are qualified faculty members. Every 3 to 6 months, seminars are conducted here. The teaching quality is good. There are 2 exams, internals and externals. You have to pass in both the exams individually to qualify every semester. External exams are easy.
Other: You should grab every opportunity and not wait for things to happen. Practical knowledge is everything in this field.

The architecture is a pretty good course if you ignore the placements and salary issues.
Placements: I think architecture is the only course in which placements are not conducted. We have to look for internships and jobs on our own. None of the students get placed from our batch or from other batches of B.Arch. Only the lowest salary package is offered because students sometimes work for free for experience, and this is how this industry work, which is wrong.
Infrastructure: Everything is worst here, like a studio, canteen, hostel, and mess. We found cockroaches in our hostel food sometimes. The infrastructure of the hostel and the college is so bad. There are no sports or games facilities. Events are conducted yearly, but college management does not support us for one annual function. The hostel and mess are the worst, including food.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were qualified. Teachers have more than 10 years of experience as practicing architects in the market. There is plenty to learn from both designs and practicals. Semester exams are not so difficult. The pass percentage is 40%. The course curriculum was important as there are design problems involved in each semester level wise.
Other: The campus crowd is the worst.

Architecture is pretty good if you ignore placements and salary issues in this line of work.
Placements: I think architecture is the only course where placements are not conducted. There are small firms in architecture, and architects are operating their own firms. None of the students got placed from our college in any of the architectural firms. We searched for training on our own. Even jobs can't offer enough amount of salary as small firms are available.
Infrastructure: Everything was worse here like a studio, canteen, hostel and mess. We find cockroaches in our hostel food sometimes. The infrastructure was very bad in the hostel and the college. There were no sports or games. Events used to be organised yearly, but the college management doesn't support us for one annual function. The hostel and mess were the worst part, including food.

There is plenty to learn from them both in terms of designs and practices. Semester exams are not very difficult. About 40% is the passing marks. The curriculum was important as there were design problems in every semester as per levels of the semester.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the college management and services provided.
Placements: I think architecture is the only course that placements are not offered. We have to look for internships and jobs on our own. The college doesn't help us. No one got placed from my batch or any other batches.
Infrastructure: Everything was worse, like studios, canteen, hostel premises, and food quality. Hygiene was the main issue. No proper toilets were provided, and 25 girls share only one washroom. The ducting system is the worst.
Faculty: Exams were easy, and the faculty members are good and helpful. They are very supportive and share their notes and help us. Practicals are conducted smoothly. We used to work a lot to present our design at the end of the semester, but all the efforts were worth it. It is still helpful in running our own projects and in designing.
Other: Campus crowd is not good. A fest is held once a year but was managed by the student body.

No placements, the worst facilities .
Placements: I think architecture is the only course in which no placement happen. We have to look for internships and job by yourself. Bo one was placed from my batch or from my junior batches. Only the lowest is possible, sometimes students works for free for experience.
Infrastructure: Everything was the worst from college campus to canteen mess and hostel. We have found cockroaches in the food and contaminated water from purifier and the worst condition of toilets. Shared toilets were provided in hostels which were not properly cleaned plus mess was untidy too.
Faculty: Faculty is good as we have 10+ years experienced faculty with us who were working in the market on various projects, used to have site visits to understand the basic parts of construction. Exams were easy enough for us to crack but design problems used to take whole semester to finish.
Other: Campus crowd not too good.
