Apr 29, 2024: ARCH College of Design & Business and Vaibhav Global Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on initiatives aimed at fostering talent development and innovation in the design industry.

The MOU emphasizes mutual growth and innovation, facilitating collaboration through classroom projects, internships, and the establishment of a Business-to-Consumer (B2C) platform for showcasing and commercializing cutting-edge designs. Manan Surana, Assistant Director of ARCH College, along with esteemed faculty members, and executives from Vaibhav Global Limited, including CEO Kulathendral and Jay Bhatnagar, were present at the signing ceremony.

Arch College of Design & Business invites applications for Admission 2024-25

April 22, 2024:  ARCH College of Design & Business invites applications for Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree programs in Design through AIEED (All India Entrance Examination for Design). The college offers a wide gamut of industry-oriented courses of international standards with university certification. The various UG & PG programs offered are Fashion, Interior, Product, Jewellery, Graphic, Photography, Digital Design, and Design Communication, coupled with specialized courses combining Design education with Business and Entrepreneurial knowledge.

ARCH is affiliated with the University of Rajasthan for Bachelor of Design Degree (B.Des) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), and for Masters in Design Entrepreneurship it is affiliated with the Visvakarma Skills University (VSU). Additionally, in strategic partnership with Pearson, ARCH is accredited to deliver six BTEC Level 5 HND qualifications in Art and Design.

Arch College of Design & Business celebrated its 25th Foundation Day

April 5, 2024: Dr. Arun Chaturvedi, National Executive Member of the BJP and former President of the BJP Rajasthan, attended the 25th Foundation Day celebration of Arch College of Design & Business Jaipur. The institution's founder and director, Archana Surana, gave an annual report and highlighted the accomplishments of the past decades.  An Open Days exhibition of student artwork also opened during the event. With about 7,000 alumni from both India and overseas, ARCH has a reputation for developing talent and achieving success. Students are still encouraged by the college to realize their full potential and make a positive contribution to society. 

GABA x Jaipur Times Fashion Week

March 19, 2024: During Jaipur Fashion Week, which was arranged by the Times of India Group, ARCH College of Design & Business stole the show with their exquisite collection of thirty-two outfits called "The Lustre Stories". 32 pieces of clothing that each woven cherished memories, cultural heritage, and a sense of the future into enthralling design narratives in various sub-collections were showcased in this engaging fashion presentation. Four sub-collections exist:

  • Godna by Esha Dubey: The Baiga Tribes' tattoo art style served as inspiration for Esha. She made use of prints that were created from abstract forms. These designs are inked on various places of the body by Baiga Tribal women on different occasions.
  • Atibana class: This collection honours our heritage and honours simplicity, encouraging women to gracefully accept their identity. It is a blend of tradition and elegance. The Weaver Service Center's artists use handwoven denim to create the line.
  • Bubble Gum by Devakshi Ladiwal: Devakshi's vivid colour scheme injects a welcome burst of colour into the fashion world. The "Bubble Gum" collection honours the classic qualities of bubble gum, a constant in an ever changing environment.
  • Anushka Khemani's Memories of Threads: This fashion line is inspired by important people in the designer's life, highlighting the deep relationships and importance they have. Every article of clothing pays homage to these significant figures by capturing their distinct personalities and influences.

ARCH College Students Showcase Research Poster on AI's Impact on Design Education at Futuring Design Conference, IIT Delhi

February 16, 2024: Two students from ARCH College of Design & Business, Muskan Amarka (B.Des, Interior Design), and Anushka Rastogi (B.Des, Jewellery Design), presented their research on the impact of AI on design education at the Futuring Design Conference hosted by IIT Delhi. Their study, titled "Exploring the Influence of AI on Design Education: A Comprehensive Student Perspective," delved into the various implications of artificial intelligence from a holistic viewpoint of students. During their discussion on their learning experiences, both students highlighted the importance of inclusivity and ethical considerations in AI-integrated design education. Muskan noted that delving into AI within design education has been transformative, not only in adopting technology but also in comprehending how it enhances creativity and broadens design thinking.

Arch College Organises Cumulus Student Talent Camp

December 21, 2023: The inaugural "Cumulus Student Talent Camp" was organised and held by Arch College in Jaipur, India, from October 30 to November 4, 2023. Thirty students from seven different nations, representing esteemed universities worldwide, came together for this amazing occasion.

The camp's topic, "Design Identity Direction," gave students a chance to learn about India's rich cultural legacy while tackling current issues facing the creative sectors. The course started off with a special chance for participants to tour seven well-known Jaipur industries, obtaining insightful knowledge about the procedures, methods, and difficulties in the creative industry. Sheffield Hallam University, Sapienza University of Rome, Estonian Academy of Arts, University of Lapland, University of Portland, The Design Village, and University of Antwerpen & ARCH College are among the academic institutions that took part in the camp.

 Session Chaired by the ARCH Director at the 2023 Cumulus Beijing Conference

December 21, 2023: Archana Surana, the vice president of the Cumulus Executive Board and the founder of ARCH College, attended both the Cumulus Beijing Conference 2023 at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and the Cumulus Executive Board meeting. The largest and most powerful worldwide academic association for art, media, and design in the world, Cumulus Association seeks to advance collaboration and international interaction in the fields of teaching, research, and practice among design institutions.

At the conference, Ms. Surana chaired two panels on women in design and fashion and textiles. Compared to men, she revealed that just 21% of women work in managerial positions in the design industry. It is critical that women in the design ecosystem put mutual assistance first in order to close this gap. An atmosphere that supports women in leadership roles within the design ecosystem can be established with the help of effective mentoring.

Arch College Hosts "Genesis To Revolution"

December 19, 2023: The Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) Jaipur Chapter offered a fascinating knowledge-sharing series titled "Genesis to Revolution," which was hosted by ARCH College of Design & Business, an Institutional member of the IIID. The purpose of the event was to give interior design and architecture students insightful knowledge about the whole project lifecycle, from ideation to completion. The goal of the lesson was to improve the students' comprehension of the design process by highlighting its opportunities and obstacles. The fact that 150 students attended the event from ten different colleges in Jaipur highlights the importance of these kinds of knowledge-sharing programmes within the design community.

As guest speakers, architects Megha and Gaurav Bhatnagar shared case studies of their work on stage, bringing a wealth of knowledge with them. They talked about the fundamentals of interior design, which include context, elegance, and simplicity. Megha Bhatnagar discussed different career options in the realm of design and illuminated the multitude of opportunities accessible in the market for aspirant designers. With a strong interest in environmental sustainability, Gaurav Bhatnagar talked about how sustainable interior design is becoming more and more popular, meeting the growing need for environmentally friendly solutions.

Arch College of Design and Business, Jaipur, Hosted its 21st Convocation

September 18, 2023: Arch College of Design and Business in Jaipur held its 21st Convocation, with 150 graduating students in attendance. The event's Chief Guest was Dileep Baid, Chairman of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts and founder of Dileep Industries. As the Guest of Honour, Professor Sunita Agrawal, Head of Home Science Convener, Committee of Courses Design Studies, Rajasthan, was present. Archana Surana, the college's founder and director, discussed the institution's annual report with the students during the convocation event. The report emphasised the accomplishments of the college and its students, as well as future projects. Arch College personnel, visiting faculty, advisory committee members, and other important visitors attended the event. The convocation allowed students to reunite with old friends.

Good college and excellent infrastructure.

Placements: Approximately 65 percent of students got placed in our college. Our course is interior design, which helps to design the product of entrepreneurship. More companies are available based on our course. 5 percent of students got more than 12 lakhs per annum, and the lowest package is 4.5 lakhs per annum.

In my opinion, this college has MET all my expectations and I am happy to study here.

Placements: Students were provided minimum wage offers of 6 Lacs per year. The maximum pay offered to the candidates in the campus interview was a 25000/-per-month salary package. L&T, Jindal and other top companies were the recruiters and among all the company visits in our batches, I was fortunate enough to be placed in a high-paying job.

Placements: 55% of students got placed in my course; others established their own firms; and a few didn't choose college placements and applied on their own. The top recruiting companies in my course are FDCI, Shivan and Naresh, Anita Dongre, PLEIN, Nila House and others.

Best college for fashion designing.

Placements: Nearly 50% to 90% of students are placed in the previous year with good packages. The highest package is 35 LPA, the lowest package was 4.5 LPA, average package was 5 LPA to 10 LPA. Most of the students got an average package only. Top recruiting companies for this course are freelance, Myntra, Amazon, Accenture, etc.
