Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for B.Sc. students at AAFT?

    A:
    {Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Success Rate of Placement Cell in Securing Jobs for B.Sc. Students at AAFT

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's an analysis of the success rate of the placement cell in securing jobs for B.Sc. students:

    * Limited Industry Connections: The placement cell has no experience in the data Science field, and the previous batch of PG Diploma holders didn't receive sufficient assistance from them. This indicates a lack of connections in the industry, which may hinder the placement process.
    * False Promises: During admission, the college promised visits from Microsoft and Wattpad companies, but these claims were untrue. This raises concerns about the accuracy of information provided by the college regarding placements.
    * Need for Improvement: While the placement cell requires improvement, the course curriculum seems to be good, allowing students to develop skills in handling data.
    * Industry-readiness: Faculty members are knowledgeable and helpful, and the course curriculum is made keeping industry requirements in mind, making students somewhat industry-ready.

In conclusion, while the placement cell faces challenges, particularly in terms of limited industry connections and false promises, it appears that the college emphasizes developing industry-ready skills in its students. However, more effort is required to improve the placement outcomes for B.Sc. students.

Mixed opinion, wherein I must say a must-try.
Placements: The placements are pretty good. The average package is, I guess, 2.5 Lacs to 3 Lacs, and the highest, from what I know of last year, is 7 Lacs. Top recruiting companies include Zara, H&M, Shoppers Stop, and brands like these. If your portfolio is nice, then you will definitely get a good placement.
Infrastructure: I am not from the hostel, but yes, I have friends who are in the hostel. It's pretty good, spacious enough, and not much expensive. You'll get your meal on time, and the quality of that would be average to above average, I would say. Security is there, so no need to worry.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable in their fields. The curriculum is much relevant and up to the required subjects. The semester exams aren't difficult much, be it theory or practical, if you've studied the presentations. The pass percentage is somewhere around 33 percent.

    Average placement, good faculty members.
Placements: 75% students get placed. 12 LPA is the highest package and 3 LPA is the average package. Approximately 80% of students get internships if they want to earn from the heart. Otherwise, there's no special internship our college provides on its own. 3D artist and VFX artist are the top roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: Our classes have high-spec PCs for students. Fully air-conditioned, and all classrooms have Wi-Fi signals for good internet. The college has a library as well, which gives a full feel to study. The college canteen is average, and the food quality is not that great. Unfortunately, the worst thing is no area for sports.
Faculty: Teachers here are great. I like their attitude toward students. They always stand for student doubts and are also very friendly. Yes, students become industry-ready if they work according to the teachers. Semester exams are moderately difficult. If you study well enough, you can pass them easily.
    Other: There's nothing special here.

Good decent college, management could be better. But faculty is nice.
Placements: Around 15-20 percent, I'd say, were given placements in my course, with the highest package being around 6-7 LPA. I also received an internship for 4 months for product photography. The top roles offered in my course include photographer, videographer, content writer, and video editor.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, it's pretty bad. We don't get Wi-Fi or any other great facilities. The food and canteen are good. Medical facilities, nahi hai. Sports events happen every year. There are no gym facilities. There is nothing else to say. It's okay, I would say—not great, but the people are nice.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, great, qualified, and knowledgeable. 100 percent recommend since most faculty are from film institutes like SRFTI or FTII and industry. So that's a great thing. Also, the curriculum is okay. It makes the students industry-ready in some sense. However, our batch did not get much practical experience.

If you are determined that you have to learn digital marketing then you can opt for this college.
Placements: I have heard from my seniors, they warned us not to depend on the college for placement because only 1 or 2 reputed companies came for the placement. They do not have ties with top companies because they are new to this course it has just been 3 years since they introduce this course. They are improving and I think by 2025 they will have good company recruitment options.
Infrastructure: In my course they showed us different campus and all the formalities and feels was filled on that campus only but on my first day of college I got to know that my classes would be held on a different campus and that too is not even a campus that is just a small corporate company type building.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and helpful but there is an extreme shortage of faculty members, sometimes one faculty will take your classes for the whole day for months and that is just not acceptable. The course is curriculum-relevant and yes they do make the students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that hard. There is a policy that students are enrolled in different universities so one university gets slightly harder questions than the other.

They need better communication programs. College administration requires improvement too.
Placements: At least 60% students availed the opportunity to work, but the students are mostly recruited for commercial work rather than an actual job which will help in the industry. I am not sure about the highest package which was provided but the students got decent jobs that provide great experience. It's mostly news channels and radio stations that recruit the students as their interns. One of my friends was working with radio 9 FM and her experience was pretty decent. Roles mostly offered are that of a production manager of a set, an assistant director and a DOP very rarely.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not that impressive but it has many new openings of new studio rooms and theatre where we are taught. They are pretty good. We have modern classrooms with AC services in every class. Every classroom in the new building has a projector on which they project films along with other study material. The hostel service is not very pleasing. The warden was not very good, the cleaning services provided were pretty good, but the cook of the hostel kept changing which was a little problematic. The students had the option of cooking their own food in the kitchen provided in the hostel. I am not sure if the college has an infirmary but the food in the canteen is very good. You must try Devendra bhaiya’s chicken rolls.
Faculty: The quality of the teachers is pretty much good, they know what they are teaching and all of the teachers are very welcoming to the new ideas brought by their students. The exams are pretty much easy if you study well. Everything that they ask in the exams is pretty much from the study materials that we get before the exams from our teachers. Since we are assigned with many different tasks, we are prepared to be industry ready. The passing percentage is 33%.
Other: The college has many fests and interesting activities and they provide their students with the opportunity to showcase their talents.
