B.Des. in Interior Design - Batch of 2028

5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Really good infrastructure with the best teachers. Absolutely satisfied.
Placements: 98 percent of students were placed in our course. The highest package was 12 LPA, and the lowest was 5 LPA. The average package was 8 LPA. Livspace, Asian Paints, and many more government projects. 90 percent of students got internships as Junior ID and Interior Designer Assistants.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very nice. The library is absolutely perfect, and the study environment created there is amazing. The canteen is also nice. Computer labs are also very good, and all the PCs are working with Wi-Fi connections. Table tennis, carrom, and chess are kept in the games room.
Faculty: Yes, they are all very helpful. As we are new, they guide us very well. They are all from the industry with very good experience and knowledge. Yes, absolutely, everything is very systematic and done according to the industry. It was neither tough nor easy. 50%.
Other: Many fests like book festivals, Garba Eve, Diwali parties, etc., are also held. The campus crowd is also very nice.

B.A. in Event Management - Batch of 2027
3.4

Great curriculum and good event management .
Placements: I am a first-year student of this course. But I liked the curriculum very much. The faculty members are really good and very friendly with the students and always ready to solve the doubts and help. The jobs offered lie in a mediocre range from 4 LPA to 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, and all the facilities are provided by the college. All the classrooms are air conditioned, and we'll maintain them. Hostels are below average, and the food is not good at all. Cleaning is also not done regularly in hostels.
Faculty: Teachers are well educated and highly qualified. Teaching quality is very good, and teachers are very cooperative and helpful with their students. The course curriculum is great, and students are made industry-ready. Semester exams are mediocre for every student to pass.
Other: Event management is a growing field, and AAFT offers a great degree course in the same, unlike diplomas in other colleges. Events are also good here.

B.A. in Still Photography - Batch of 2024
3.2

Best college for special courses.
Placements: It's good, above 60%. Honestly, the top can go up to 12 LPA, and the top roles that have been offered to my batch are senior photography at a big firm. Not gonna lie, but in a market like this where the competition is too much, they give the best campus placements.
Infrastructure: Don't know about the hostel, but the college's infrastructure is better than good, but too small for a college. New classes, library, and canteen are too good. They can add more things like indoor sports like TT, pool, chess, etc. 'Cause I know people are doing what they love but can use sports to relax.
Faculty: Faculty is better than good; some are the best. Exams are not too hard, but again, these are practical courses, so assignments matter more than exams. They are very precise about their assignments, but the discipline can improve. There is something that might need some attention, like I got my ID card in the second semester.
Other: Crowd is okay, what I like is the friendly environment on campus.

Diploma in tourism and travel - Batch of 2021

Very satisfied with college.
Placements: It is one of the best colleges in the Delhi NCR area for these subjects. The college has tie-ups with the best companies for internships and placements, including Ease My Trip, SITA, and Thomas. The minimum salary package is 5 LPA, and the top role is flight service attendant or package designer.
Infrastructure: The college has some of the best infrastructure in the Delhi-NCR region. They provide parking for two and four wheelers, a library for study, a computer classes to learn the software used in the the hospitality industry, and a game room for relaxation.
Faculty: The best thing about this college is the faculty. All the teachers are highly qualified professionals with years of experience working in the Ministry of Tourism and with high-profile individuals in the country. The curriculum includes monthly visits to tourism sites to gain hands-on experience.
Other: I joined the course during the COVID time, so there were fewer students than usual. However, the students came from different parts of India and the world. We chose the course to gain knowledge about the tourism industry. During the COVID shutdown, we followed government guidelines and organized some events, such as a fresher's party and an introduction celebration.

Satisfied with AAFT College.
Placements: Out of 18 students from our section, at least 10 were placed before or after finishing the course with decent packages. The highest package might be 4-5 LPA. The number of students getting placed is quite decent, and AAFT is able to fulfill the basic requirements of students.
Infrastructure: The facilities here are in perfect sync. We have a great library that has all kinds of informational and inspirational books, journals, theses, and other resources for students who are willing to study. The infrastructure of the library is pleasing to the eye as well. Wi-Fi works great, and classrooms are well-maintained with good interiors, proper AC systems, lighting, projectors, and comfortable chairs, making them perfect places to study.
Faculty: First of all, the teachers are really amazing here. They have the experience and all the relevant qualifications. Semester exams are challenging and enhance our thinking capacity and writing abilities. The best part is the assignments, which encourage real-life thinking and creativity, showing that we are more than capable of doing things.
Other: I was already studying journalism and mass communication, which included a subject called Public Relations, and at that moment, I was sure that for my master's, I would really like to learn more about this course. There are a lot of events happening here, and we have been a part of many events we have organized, which provided real-world experience.

B.Sc. in Cinema (Direction) - Batch of 2024
3.2
3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
They need better communication programs. College administration requires improvement too.
Placements: At least 60% students availed the opportunity to work, but the students are mostly recruited for commercial work rather than an actual job which will help in the industry. I am not sure about the highest package which was provided but the students got decent jobs that provide great experience. It's mostly news channels and radio stations that recruit the students as their interns. One of my friends was working with radio 9 FM and her experience was pretty decent. Roles mostly offered are that of a production manager of a set, an assistant director and a DOP very rarely.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not that impressive but it has many new openings of new studio rooms and theatre where we are taught. They are pretty good. We have modern classrooms with AC services in every class. Every classroom in the new building has a projector on which they project films along with other study material. The hostel service is not very pleasing. The warden was not very good, the cleaning services provided were pretty good, but the cook of the hostel kept changing which was a little problematic. The students had the option of cooking their own food in the kitchen provided in the hostel. I am not sure if the college has an infirmary but the food in the canteen is very good. You must try Devendra bhaiya’s chicken rolls.
Faculty: The quality of the teachers is pretty much good, they know what they are teaching and all of the teachers are very welcoming to the new ideas brought by their students. The exams are pretty much easy if you study well. Everything that they ask in the exams is pretty much from the study materials that we get before the exams from our teachers. Since we are assigned with many different tasks, we are prepared to be industry ready. The passing percentage is 33%.
Other: The college has many fests and interesting activities and they provide their students with the opportunity to showcase their talents.

AAFT
Admission FAQs

Q:   Is M.Sc. at AAFT a good choice?

A:
{Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

Here's what current students and alumni have to say:

* Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is well-designed and well-developed, with good classrooms, hostels, and libraries. However, some students mention that the WiFi speed is slow, making it challenging for working on big data tasks.

* Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. They have a strong foundation in their subjects and communicate effectively with students.

* Course Curriculum: While the course covers essential topics, some students think that the curriculum needs updates to prepare students for the industry. They suggest that the course structure is somewhat outdated.

* Placements: Almost all students get placed, with a high package of INR7 Lacs and an average package of INR5 lakhs. Top companies like Mayu participate in placements, and internship opportunities are also available.

* Industry Exposure: The college provides exposure to the film industry, with several renowned artists and professionals serving as faculty members. This helps students gain hands-on experience and valuable connections.

Overall, while AAFT may have its limitations, it offers a solid education in Data Science, with good infrastructure, knowledgeable faculty, and decent placement records. However, students and alumni emphasize the importance of self-reliance and continuous learning to succeed in the competitive industry.

Keep in mind that individual experiences may vary, and it's crucial to research and weigh pros and cons carefully when considering pursuing an M.Sc. degree at AAFT.

Q:   Is UG Diploma at AAFT worth the investment?

A:
{Source: UG Diploma students & alumni}

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Infrastructure and Facilities:
* Excellent infrastructure with modern classrooms, labs, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
* Good canteen and mess facilities.
* Limited library resources, especially for certain courses (e.g., Data Science).
* No sports, medical, or game facilities.

Teaching Quality:
* Mixed bag - some teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable, while others are unhelpful and egoistic.
* Traditional teaching methods hinder practical application and industry-readiness.
* Some teachers leave the college frequently, affecting continuity.

Placement and Career Opportunities:
* Placement record varies across courses - some have a higher success rate than others.
* Average salary packages range from INR20,000 to INR90,000 per month.
* Few top-tier companies recruit, and most offers come from smaller firms.
* Students often rely on their own skills and networking to secure jobs.

Overall Value:
* Budget-friendly fee structure.
* Course relevance and curriculum could improve.
* Industry connections and network-building opportunities are limited.
* Not all faculty members have industry experience or up-to-date knowledge.

While AAFT has some strengths, such as excellent infrastructure and a decent teaching quality, its weaknesses in terms of placement records, outdated curriculum, and lack of industry connections might raise concerns about the return on investment for students. We recommend researching further and weighing these factors carefully before making a decision.
