Overall good college and the best college under CU University.
Placements: 30% were placed in this college. The lowest package offered in our course is about 2 lakhs, and the highest package offered in ours is 10 lakhs. Top recruitment companies in our course like IRCTC. It is a four-year course, and after this, we can do an M.A. The placement is not so good.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi, labs, and normal classrooms, and also have a big old library. Our hostel is not so good; it's very old and hasn't been repaired for a long time. But the hostel staff are so good. It hasn't a playground for sports. The hostel window mirror is broken for a long time.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, well knowledgeable, and qualified. They help us in every matter. The semester exams are very hard, as we all know, Asus College is the best college in CU University. Our teachers are very strict. They are very helpful.
Other: I chose the course from someone’s suggestion. The best thing about my course is that there is less competition.

Really good and encouraging about the extracurricular activities.
Placements: So my course is Philosophy Honours. It's a four-year course. Since it is not a professional course, there is no such scope for placements and recruitments. There are good internship opportunities if you can and are up for it. But you will to maintain proper attendance and a proper interaction with your professors.
Infrastructure: Our college is famous for its sports department. The ex-captain of the Indian football team, Sunil Chetri, is our alumni, so it has a good football team and overall encourages sports very much. It has its own casual games room for students to chill and play games like table tennis, carrom, etc. And since it is air-conditioned, it is a popular spot for students to chill. The canteen food is also good. The main building has traditional old classrooms, but the Annex Building and the IT building have centrally air-conditioned rooms and modern-day equipment like projectors, smart boards, etc. The library smells like old books. Well, it is like a museum. An air-conditioned museum. Labs are okay, not bad, but not that great too.
Faculty: Teaching quality was above average, no complaints about the faculty. Respect your teacher no matter how little they teach. Well, as it is not a professional course, not much can be said about it in a professional sense. But the curriculum is as per Calcutta University, which is pretty good. Moderate to high-level difficult exams.
Other: I didn't choose this course; it chose me. The best thing about my course is that it is my course. More pretty girls in my course would be a great thing to wish for. Very good campus crowd. Right beside Jatin Das Park metro station, so top-level connectivity and surroundings. Scholarships are given out based on merit, rank, and reservations. As I said, particularly good in the extracurricular section, our college is.

Good faculty but very bad placement procedure.
Placements: Our college lacks a proper placement cell and procedure. Sometimes, a few job fairs are organized by our college, but only a few of our students are able to get any placement offer from there. The highest salary you can expect is 2 to 2.5 LPA. It is better to apply for off-campus jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not so great. The building is old and dusty. The classrooms are small and clumsy. Labs are there, but they lack a few important chemicals. We don't have a library on our campus. There is no hostel in our college, but we have a decent canteen behind our college.
Faculty: The curriculum of our course is really good as it follows the latest syllabus of Calcutta University. The faculty members are also good, but sometimes they are rude to the students. The semester exams in our college are not too hard, but you need to study thoroughly.

Asutosh College is very student-friendly.
Placements: The average percentage of students placed in our course is low. There is no package offered in our course. No companies are coming for our course. There is no internship from our course. We just get the graduation degree from this course. No other extra facilities are there.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good, but some of the faculty members are very rude in behavior. Otherwise, most facilities are very helpful, and they teach well. They take extra classes and help us a lot to score good marks in exams. They teach all the things properly.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good, and faculty members are highly qualified. This course does not make students industry-ready. Clearing the semester is not very easy. Very few students can clear all the semesters; otherwise, many students get supplies. The course is very tough.

BAD FACILITIES AFTER DRAINING OUT OUR MONEY.
Placements: There are no placements that the college provides for students, but you have to be inclusive in all activities to achieve them. Most of the placements require 2 to 3 years of experience in a specific field; the rest are B.Tech or M.Sc. based. The highest package last year that the college provided was 7 LPA, but we do get packages like 12-14 LPA. As I said, you need experience for at least 2 years to apply for them. With the new 4-year quota for B.Sc., everyone has to do an internship to apply for examinations, so there's a guaranteed internship that the college provides. To get placements, you just need to work on your skills to get a high-paying job; the college doesn't really provide guaranteed placements at all. As for the top roles, I don't know much, but once I saw some companies were hiring interns for cybersecurity, data analyst, and web development roles.
Infrastructure: The new 4-year quota is trash, to be honest. I'm from the batch where I had a 3-year quota, so the syllabus is mostly B.Tech based. As for the infrastructure, the faculty just drains out our money and doesn't really use it for student facilities. In the 2nd semester, our teachers complained about being given cheap capacitors for our practicals to our department HOD, but she said there's nothing she can do. There is only 1 PC with an Intel i5 processor, which is not for student use. They're providing PCs with Windows 7 and Notepad as the IDE. I don't know much about the hostel, as I didn't apply for it, and the hostel is about 30 minutes by bus from the college campus. However, some of my friends lived there, and they said the food was very good for a hostel; they arrange a feast once a month, and most importantly, it's ragging-free.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members are quite knowledgeable and provide motivation, but some of them are very rude. If I write something wrong, they'll just abuse me, saying that I can't do anything, etc. However, some of them are really good and motivating; I can just call them for a specific problem, and they'll give me a special lesson for that topic until I understand it. As I mentioned, the course for us is B.Tech based, but the new quota doesn't have a specific order in the syllabus; they'll teach you Android programming before Java, whereas you need to learn Java first to understand Android programming. As for the exams, they're not usually tough; most of the questions are from previous years, but the checking is hard. They won't give you any marks unless you fill out the whole sheet for a 2-mark question. The passing percentage is 30%, and even students who scored above 80% in boards struggle to achieve those marks.
Other: I like computers and their mechanics, which is why I chose this. To be honest, I wanted to do the B.Tech course, but the course fees are too high, so I applied for this. The best thing about this course is that you can learn how a computer works, how technology is connected to our daily lives, and how we can improve it. Programming can lead to a high-paying job in the near future. The things that I would like to see removed are the assembly language syllabus, as it's of no use to us; instead, teach us some new languages that may help us in the near future, like Rust, ReactJS, or MongoDB. The college is filled with events for freshers every second day of the week, but there hasn't been a fest provided until now; instead, the authority arranges Teachers' Day events, etc. We haven't even had any excursions till now, and I'm in my 3rd year right now. As for the campus, it's quite huge but scattered, and if you want to enjoy your college life, you just need to be extroverted. The college union may influence you to join them for popularity, but it's up to you if you want to join or not.

This college needs a lot of improvement in its infrastructure and placement process.
Placements: Asutosh college does not have a proper placement cell. There is a placement team who sometimes organizes a few job fair, and a handful of students manage to get placement offers. But, the packages are not that great. The average package was 2 LPA while the highest package was 3.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus of Asutosh College is very old and dusty. The classrooms are very small as compared to the number of students in our batch. We have a few labs but most of the equipments are old. We do have a few sporting facilities in our college campus like cricket, football and volleyball.
Faculty: The teachers and other faculty members of Asutosh College are to some extent good. They have good knowledge about their subjects and also cover the syllabus on time. The course curriculum is also good and covers all the latest trends. The semester exams are a bit difficult, and you need to follow the classes properly to score good marks.
