This is a good college affiliated to University of Calcutta and located in Kolkata. Both the Science and Arts streams are very good and quite renowned in the city. Having spent three years here, I can say that the faculty members are very good and proficient. In spite of the absence of what we call a proper campus, it provides a nice student life and recently, it has set up a new campus and has started Master degree courses. The college fests are very good and attracts other colleges in Kolkata ...

Absolutely satisfied with my decision.

Placements: In my department, there are 80+ students, and the teaching methods are amazing. The teachers are student-friendly, and the seniors are super friendly and helpful. Every year, our college organizes a summer internship. I chose psychology as my subject, and the college is one of the best in Kolkata for this field.

Best experience in college.

Placements: I am a student of the BA MDC course. No placement is provided in this course, and you have to pursue higher studies to get a job. Jobs are available in government sectors, banks, and other fields. Many people take private jobs after completing this course, but many find jobs later. Our internship opportunities are limited.

Best college with a friendly environment.

Placements: I don't know much about placement because I didn't care about it. I was busy with my academics but they do provide placement in your 3rd year. You have to be active in your college groups, check all the notices and updates, and don't miss out like me.

Review of ASUTOSH COLLEGE of Kolkata.

Placements: Around 60 to 70% of students get placement years. The highest offered package is around 12 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. The top companies are Tata, Wipro, etc. There are a few more companies that are there, but these are the main ones. We also get jobs in our locality with a package of around 2.4 LPA.

College campus has good infrastructure but poor and reluctant management.

Placements: No placements organised by college. None got placed from my batch. Only one or two top scorer students gets approached directly from companies. No students get internships through college. LnT and Wipro are some of the companies that hire from this college.

Asutosh College in my opinion.

Placements: Companies like Infosys, TCS, ITC visited the college and provided job opportunities. Most of the packages start from 240000 LPA, and on an average around 80% students gets selected during campusing. I have plans for higher studies so I may not attend the interviews.

Our college has excellent teachers and a good environment which will lead to a spark in the future.

Placements: Placements at this college were not so good. They didn't even promise placements. Studying a general subject in a government-aided college would give any of us a good on-campus placement experience. Though we got some offers from companies after completing our degree. The salary packages were 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA. Top roles were offered mainly in data and business analytics.

One of the best colleges for Geology in India

Placements: Usually, placement is done after M.Sc. in Applied Geology. Students from our department get good placement after their M.Sc. from companies like SAIL, Geovale, and various hydrogeological companies and GIS companies recruit from our department. More than 50% of students get placed here.

In total, I would like to give 3 star to Asutosh College. Placements should increase.

Placements: So I am in 3rd year right now. We can do various jobs in this field. The highest package was 5 LPA for a research job on animal tissue. One of my seniors got this job. At least one can expect to get 2.5 LPA in a job. It's around 30-40% of students who were placed last year.

I was not satisfied with placements offered by Asutosh College.

Placements: There were poor placement opportunities for pass-out students. The top role offered was media communication and journalism. There were about 13% of students got internships from our journalism and mass communication course. Top recruiting companies were ABP Ananda Digital, The Telegraph, and so on.
