Placements: On an average, 60% of the students got placements in the college. The highest salary offered was Rs. 30,000, the lowest was Rs. 8,000 per month and the average was Rs. 12,000. The mechanic, accountants, assistant manager, etc., were the roles offered to students in the college. About 45% of the students got internships from the college with a minimum of Rs. 5,000 to a maximum of Rs. 10,000 stipend during the internship. There is a placement cell in the college, it is much efficient and useful fo...
Placements: The placements in the college are moderate, and people get in through the placements. Companies such as Wipro comes often. As I am still a student, it is difficult to note the stipend, but the salaries vary from the students and the company. About 30%-40% get the jobs through the placements.
Placements: Our department does not provide any placements. Moreover, they don't have a placement cell to look after the recruiters. As it is a government-affiliated college, so don't expect the placements. I would suggest that if you are not up for a job after this course and planning to go ahead with your further studies, then you can always keep this college in hand.
Placements: In Asutosh College, there is a good placement policy. Some companies come to our college from Kolkata and other cities in India and foreign as well. They conduct some interviews in our college, and they give a better placement in various companies with a good salary package as well.
Placements: I didn't hear anything about placement from my college. Though some of my senior batchmates got placed, I don't know whether it was from my college. At first, I heard that our college itself will provide the placements, but later I didn't get any update on the topic.
Placements: Since it's a government controlled College so placements are not at all good, it's works on your credibility and capabilities. Colleges that are controlled by Calcutta University are unlike the private colleges where placements are easily available. Not only in Asutosh College, most are having poor placements guarantee.
Placements: There is a placement cell in the college, which works efficiently for the placements of students. There is large number of reputed, Indian and multinational companies have visited here like TCS, CTS, Wipro, Ranbaxy etc. Most of the students are placed as programme trainees process executives.
Placements: Asutosh college has a placement cell that organises campus interviews to facilitate job proposals to the final year students. The goal is to provide employment opportunities to every willing student. Significant progress has been made in this regard. Reputed Indian and multinational companies have visited the campus and selected a large number of students.
Placements: While I never took part in the placement fiasco, but, as far as I know, there was no such placement activity during our year. Most of the students were involved in the off-campus placements in places like Wipro and TCS. There is no such thing as "placement" that I have seen at our college.
Placements: The placements were very good, and many of my seniors got their jobs through this. The interview helps us to overcome our fears which we shall face in our future interviews. The companies which came were very well reputed, and they were among the best companies in the state. The salary which they offered was very reasonable and well satisfied.
Placements: L&T and Tata are the companies that visited my college. Our college has its own placement cell, and every student gets a message when a company visits our college to hire. The average salary offered is about Rs. 20,000. The lowest salary offered is about Rs. 11,000. Some of my seniors got placed. The percentage of students who got placed by the Asutosh college's placement cell is about 71%.
Placements: Though I cannot say that the placement scenario of CSE at Asutosh college is the best, I can claim that it has one of the best placement scenarios out of other CU colleges. It is a college mostly for doing B.Sc, but it prepares you well enough to get admission to any higher college. It is just the effort of yours to achieve the goals that you keep in your mind.
Placements: The placements are quite good, but as it is a honours college, the placements are not the only thing here. Most of the people go for the higher studies or the teaching occupation. You will have a campus drive, but I would say you would prefer the off-campus placements as it will be more profitable for you. You can get a stipend of a hefty amount if you can get into the top-notch universities for MSC which will be a good option too.
Placements: Asutosh College, being a general and honours degree college, has no system of placements. But recently, some companies had offered campus jobs which were restricted only to the computer science department. The college authority is looking forward to providing campus jobs to every department in the coming years.
Placements: According to my seniors, placement of this college is not like other private colleges, but better than other semi govt. colleges. Employers like TCS, Tech Mahindra offers a job. The average salary was Rs. 25000. Almost 5-6% were placed, mostly in TCS from computer science dept. About 10% students got an internship in Inspire, a program by DST, India. A stipend of almost Rs. 5000 was offered.
My experience of Asutosh College is still so alive. Such great days I have spent there. The professors are nice but also strict while teaching. Though, the college does not have great placement opportunities but that is not a problem after you got passed from the college.
Asutosh College is one of the top colleges of Calcutta University. The professors are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere for study is very beautiful and comfortable. The computer labs are so beautiful. The college provides direct campus placements for the students.
Professors are very approachable. It has one of Kolkata's best Faculty Members. Attending classes has become compulsory now, especially for the students of Honors courses. The Professors help you with the projects, hence it becomes easier. However, apart from studies, curriculum activities are not very active. Politics rule the college. It provides admission to students with very high percentage, hence the academics are quite focused.
This is a government college in Kolkata, near Hazra metro station. It is under Calcutta University. Campus life is not so good, but there are many specific courses available which are not available in other colleges. Faculty is excellent. Computer Science department is on the opposite side of the main building.
It is one of the best colleges in India and one of the best 5 colleges in Kolkata. The faculty members are really helpful and cooperative. The campus is great and very active in sports and cultural programs. The seniors are really good and there is no ragging in the campus. Regular classes are there and above 75% attendance is required to be qualified for the exam.
