Worth the Investment? : An Honest Review of BAMS at Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbia College

After analyzing the statements from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Knowledgeable and Experienced Faculty: Most faculty members are highly qualified, having cleared the UPSC entrance exam.
    * Good Library Facilities: The college has a vast library with modern and ancient books, making it a valuable resource for students.
    * Internship Opportunities: The college offers a stipend during the one-year UG internship, which is about INR23,500 per month.
    * Placement Opportunities: While the college does not guarantee employment, some students have been able to secure jobs with companies like Himalaya.
    * Reasonable Fee: Compared to other institutions offering similar programs, the fees seem reasonable.

    Cons:

    * Infrastructure Needs Improvement: The college buildings are old (over 100 years) and require renovation to meet modern standards.
    * Teaching Quality: Some students reported that while teachers are knowledgeable, their teaching methods could improve.
    * Limited Canteen and Mess Facilities: Although a canteen is available, it is not functioning currently, and hostel facilities may not be available for all students.
    * Medical Facilities: Some students mentioned that medical facilities are not up to par, and medicines might not be readily available.

In conclusion, whether BAMS at Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbia College is worth the investment largely depends on individual priorities and expectations. While the college excels in certain areas, such as faculty qualifications and internship opportunities, it falls short in others, like infrastructure and teaching quality. As with any educational institution, students should weigh these factors carefully before deciding whether to pursue their degree at this college.

It is a good college for studies and extracurricular activities.
Placements: Our college offers detailed information on Ayurveda. The stipend offered during the internship was Rs. 23,500 per month.
Infrastructure: Our college did not provide good infrastructure. Classrooms were well cleaned. Projectors were available in classrooms. Labs were well-maintained. OPD was well established.
Faculty: Our teachers were knowledgeable and experienced. They were selected by the UPSC panel. Our teachers were well-trained and helpful. They were experts in their respective fields. Exams were conducted on time. Semester exams were average. One could easily pass them by studying.

Infrastructure and teaching quality are not good, but stipend is good.
Placements: As it is a medical College, there is no placement, however, internship is provided by the college in hospitals where students get about 25,000-30,000 per month during the last year of the course. If they get admission in PG, they will get a stipend of 1.1lakhs per month and 50% seats of PG is reserved for our DU students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not too good as it is very old, it's more than 100 years old. So, there is a need of improvement. The class is in good condition. Books related to our courses are available in the library. Each subject has a separate lab. Sports day is celebrated once a year. There is no canteen. Mess is available in both boys' & girls' hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and helpful, but their teaching quality is not very good. Students can get job easily by applying for vacant seats after completing the course. Earlier, exams occurred once a year but now it occurs semester wise. Passing percentage is between 60-70%.
Other: I chose this course because I have to become a doctor. There is a need of improvement in teaching and practicals. Fest occurs twice a year i.e. ayurveda day & unani day. Each class has 75students. Cricket ground, basketball court, badminton court and table tennis are there.

They provide the highest stipend for Ayurveda but have zero knowledge.
Placements: As it is a medical course, there is a compulsory one-year internship. Our college offered a stipend during a one-year UG internship, which is about Rs. 25,000 per month. After UG, you can go for PG or other options available.
Infrastructure: Facilities are not so advanced as of now. Hostel facilities are not available for all students. It depends on the distance. The minimum distance for hostel allotment is 30 km. Infrastructure is under construction, so it will develop into something good, but it is not so good till now. The college campus is great. There is a hospital connected to the college campus.
Faculty: Teachers are highly educated, but there is no quality teaching. You have to work hard to pass the exam. Teachers are active in their classes, but still, there is a lack of healthy study competition on the college campus.
Other: I chose this course to be trained medically to save the lives of others. This course has its own uniqueness in terms of treating principles and medicine. More interactive sessions for education or for developing student interest would be great. Yearly, there are two events. The first one is in the month of February and the second is around Dhanteras. Connectivity is outstanding as it is in Karol Bagh. You can take admission to this college if you want to earn, but for knowledge, you must look for other B.A.M.S. colleges like NIA Jaipur, BHU, etc. There was not much of a crowd during our OPD, but patients kept on coming, so we got to learn many things during that interaction.

Review of Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbia College.
Placements: The placements are excellent. I am happy that the college provides many placement opportunities. You should join here. The salary is decent, and the placements are also decent. The salary offered is 96,000 per month at present in post-graduation, which is a good amount.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not that good. A canteen is available, but it is not functional at this point. It was inaugurated, though and it is about to start. But I must say that the infrastructure is not that good. The building is very old, as it is 100 years old.
Faculty: The minimum percentage you have to score to pass the examinations is 50%. Exams are conducted on an annual basis, that's why it is obvious that examinations are a bit tough. But regular studies can even give you good results.

All students got internships from our course. MD seats are also provided, but ST and SC seats are not available every year.
Infrastructure: The quality of food served in the mess is very good here, but there is no canteen in our college. Medical facilities are not best, and medicines are not available. For sports, the equipment is not provided properly.
Faculty: Faculty members here are nice, helpful and good in behaviour. They are good at knowledge and give the best knowledge. They are qualified. About 50% of marks are required to be scored by students to pass exams.
