Q:   Is B.Sc. at Bangabasi College a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what stands out:

Infrastructure: The college lacks modern infrastructure, with outdated computers and limited Wi-Fi connectivity. While the classroom and laboratory facilities are decent, the overall infrastructure could use improvement.

Teaching Quality: The teachers are generally considered helpful and knowledgeable, although some students report inconsistent attendance and a lack of engagement from professors.

Course Curriculum: The B.Sc. programme appears to have a sound curriculum, with a focus on practical skills and theoretical foundations. Students appreciate the opportunity to learn about economics and finance.

Placement Opportunities: Unfortunately, Bangabasi College does not have a dedicated placement cell, leaving students to seek employment opportunities on their own. While some students reported receiving job offers, others expressed disappointment with the lack of support from the college.

Student Life: Student life seems vibrant, with regular events, sports activities, and cultural programs organized throughout the year.

Employment Prospects: Alumni feedback suggests that while some graduates have secured employment, salaries tend to be modest (around INR20,000 - INR30,000 per month).

In conclusion, while Bangabasi College may not excel in terms of infrastructure or placement opportunities, the college's strong teaching quality and supportive faculty make it a viable option for those interested in pursuing a B.Sc. degree. It ultimately depends on individual preferences and priorities.

Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for B.Sc. at Bangabasi College?

    A:
    {Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

    Course Curriculum

    * The course curriculum is considered good by many students.
    * It provides a solid foundation in understanding how economies work and how markets and banks function.
    * The curriculum covers various topics, such as economics, which helps students develop critical thinking skills.

However, some students feel that there are certain limitations to the course structure:

    * The curriculum may not cover all topics comprehensively due to time constraints (only 3-4 months per semester).
    * Some students felt that some important topics were left uncovered or touched upon briefly.

Overall, while the course curriculum seems well-structured, some improvements could be made to address the concerns mentioned by the students.

Placement Cell Assistance for B.Sc. Students at Bangabasi College

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's how the placement cell assists students in getting placed:

    * Initiatives underway: Although the placement cell is new, it aims to provide placement opportunities from renowned companies such as TCS, Mahindra, and Tata.
    * Salary packages: The average salary package offered is approximately INR3 LPA, which may vary depending on individual performance and company requirements.
    * Job fair organization: The college occasionally organizes job fairs, providing students with potential job opportunities.
    * Self-initiative encouraged: Unfortunately, students are currently required to reach out to companies independently for placements, although efforts are being made to establish a formal placement cell.

It's essential to note that these initiatives are ongoing and evolving, aiming to improve the overall placement experience for B.Sc. students at Bangabasi College. As the placement cell continues to develop, we expect to see improvements in the services and opportunities offered to students.

Our college provides good faculty, infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: Placements are not provided in our course, but around 60-65% of students from other courses get placed. Some companies like Tata, Whirlpool, or some agricultural-based companies, etc., offer jobs for students. The average salary offered is Rs.20,000 - Rs.30,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Hostels are not available in our college. Canteen serves good quality food. High-speed Wi-Fi is available in every department. Classrooms and labs are good with every required instrument. There is a huge library room on the 1st floor where students get every book.
Faculty: Our course consists of 10 teachers. They are well-qualified and helpful in every situation. Semester exams are easy. Every paper is conducted for 50 to 65 marks. The pass percentage is 40%. If students study well, they will be ready for the industry.
Other: I chose this course because I like to do experiments and explore new things. Students of our college enjoy their college life by joining events and fests, connecting with teachers and students, etc.

This college is average, and it should update its faculty members.
Placements: All students were helpful in our college. Around 70% of students got placed in our course. There were 42 students in our batch. Almost 10 students got placed in this course. Few students drop out of the course in the middle. A few students also worked in Dr. Lal PathLabs. The average salary offered was Rs 12,000 per month. Almost 40% of students got jobs in this course.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities were not good because the building was old. Hostel rooms were not spacious. Water supply was not good. The electricity facility was also not good. If students score good marks then hostel services were provided to them. The food quality was better.
Faculty: Faculty members were average. The pass percentage was 98%. All students got 70-80% of marks during exams. Semester exams were difficult. Each semester persists for up to 3-4 months so it was difficult to complete the whole syllabus as per schedule. There were 3-5 subjects per semester.
Other: Events and sports were conducted. Teachers' day was also organised in this college.

Absolutely dissatisfied due of absence of proper placement cell.
Placements: Unlike other colleges, there is no proper placement cell available in our college. We are expected to reach out to various companies on our own. However, sometimes our college organizes some job fairs where we might get some job offers; however, the salary offered there is significantly low.
Infrastructure: We do not have very good infrastructure in our college. There is no Wi-Fi on the campus, and most of the computers in our lab are very old and do not even work properly. But our classrooms are very decent and clean. We do not have our own hostel, and there is a small library inside our campus.
Faculty: The teachers who teach in our college are good and helpful. They try to teach us in a good manner. However, sometimes they rush to complete the syllabus, and many topics are left untouched. The course curriculum is good. The semester exams are not very hard, and you can easily score good marks by studying a bit.

I am very glad to be a part of this college.
Placements: Approximately 90% of students are placed in our course. The salary package offered in our course is 3 LPA to 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Infosys. Around 80% of students got internships in our course.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available include Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library. Wi-Fi has a decent speed with which we can download any software or application within a minute. The quality of the library is great. It is huge, and more than 100 students can be seated at once.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful to students. They are very talented. They graduated from renowned institutes. Semester exams are quite hard, which is the best thing. The pass percentage is around 90%.

It is not possible to get placements under CU.
Placements: I did not hear about students getting placements from our course from our college. I am currently studying economics, and I didn't hear from our seniors that they got jobs after graduating. Our tuition teachers also did not inform us that students get placements from our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good here, and the classrooms are clean. We also got a free Wi-Fi facility from our main campus. The library facility is also good, and we get all kinds of books for our course. Our department is pretty clean, but our main campus is not at all clean.
Faculty: All the teachers are not helpful here, but our HOD is very kind and helpful. Only a few classes are conducted for general subjects because most of the time teachers won't attend classes. Most of the time teachers just give us attendance and leave the class. The time table is also bad. Most of the time our Hons class gets overlapped with the general course class, so we have to miss classes.
Other: The best thing about our course is we come to know how the economy works and how markets and banks work. I wish that if our college is possible to provide an internship for our course, then it will be helpful.

The faculty was good but college unfortunate doesn't provide placements.
Placements: The students for this course were comparatively lesser because this course isn't that widely chosen. This college doesn't give you any placements, so basically you chose this course in this college if you are preparing for any competitive examination.
Infrastructure: Their was a practical lab which was well maintained and attached with the classroom so it was easier for us to do our practical. The practical lab was neat. And clean and well maintained. I did not take any hostel facility so won't be able to comment.
Faculty: Faculty was good. We used to get our doubts solve immediately or in WhatsApp groups if we are asking them doubts off campus. Also the semester exams were held in a different college. The paper was set from moderate to difficult level but it all depended on paper checking.
Other: I passed out in 2023 after which their are two option or maybe three. Either you do Masters or maybe Masters with preparation for any competitive exam or only prepare for competition exam.
