It is a top dental college. It provides a great experience as a student and gets to learn a lot.
Placements: Our batch joined in 2015 and called The Advayas. This was one of the top dental colleges in Karnataka, affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, led by Dr. Sadashiva Shetty, the world-renowned orthodontist. There were 85 students placed in the undergraduate course of bachelors in dental surgery through various all India or state competitive exams such as NEET, COMED-K, and KCET. These were merit-based, where students get allotted the seats based on their ranks and scores. I got my seat via KCET, and the package offered by Karnataka Examinations Authority was a basic fee along with an annual tuition fee of Rs 45,000. There was no surplus or donation amount taken. Management seats were a given quota where a certain amount had to be paid to the college for direct admission without appearing in these qualifying exams. The highest salary package offered was 15 LPA. There were compulsory rotatory internships between all 8 departments after the final year i.e. in the fifth year. The students graduate as doctors in this discipline, and the motto that was inculcated in students was dedication, duty, and discipline. Students were taught how to practice dentistry in the face of the global covid-19, and were taught their roles and responsibilities well. Top roles were bachelors degree, master's degree, and placements as a reader or professor in academics of this college. Other roles were as an X-ray or radiology technician, dental technician, and dental assistant. Students can pursue further studies in any specialty of their choice. Students were granted a practicing license by the KSDC, and can be members of the Indian Dental Association to practice anywhere in India, privately or in association with any hospital or organisation.
Infrastructure: State-of-the-art clinics in each department were fully equipped with dental chairs and dental materials, spacious classrooms, and lecture halls with projectors and smart or e-learning. Functional Wi-Fi and a library accommodated with books by various authors in different fields of dentistry. A large reading room with around-the-clock timing for students, a digital room with DVDs and CDS a working area, computer rooms, etc., are available. The college campus was situated in the hub of the bustling city, well connected with good commute and facilities. It spans a large area with 4 floors, and a quadrangle or garden at the center. The infrastructure boasts wide spacious corridors all well lit, and connected by elevator and staircases. The students were provided with all the basic facilities and guided thoroughly. The boy's and girl's hostels were separate. The ladies' hostel which many prefer nearby were vedavathi, hemavathi, and netravathi. The rooms were occupied by 2 students with an inbuilt washroom. Secure grounds with complete security and safety. Water and electricity supply was around the clock and well maintained. Basic cleaning and hygiene maintenance was carried out. Large common rooms and halls were available for student gatherings. The mess or canteen food was of good quality, of the student's choice, prepared with proper hygiene, and affordable. There were emergency medical facilities as well as an indoor gym. This college conducts regular sports and games with inter-college competitions, and many students represent Rajiv Gandhi University at the state level.
Faculty: Professors and lecturers were well distinguished and each remarkable in their fields. They always guide and mentor the students within the classes as well as in clinics. The proper way of handling cases, interacting with patients were taught. Diagnosis and treatment plans were discussed thoroughly. Every month internal exams were held in all the subjects of the course. Practical as well as theory exams were conducted. There was no semester system. An annual exam was conducted at the end of each year by the university which the students had to pass with a minimum of 50%. The course curriculum covers the first year. Basic subjects in medicine such as human anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, dental anatomy, and histology. In the second year, pharmacology, microbiology, and oral pathology. Third-year dental materials, general medicine, general surgery, and in the final year all the 8 main specialties oral medicine and radiology, oral surgery, periodontics, conservative, and endodontics, oral pathology, pedodontics, prosthodontics, and implantology, orthodontics, public health, and community dentistry. The exams were average and check the basic knowledge of the students through viva-voce. The curriculum structure prepares students overall on how to deal with basic medical emergencies, drugs to be prescribed, and patient communication.
Other: I opted for this course, because of my interest in it. I always wanted to be a doctor, a health professional to serve humanity. I envied the status and respect that a tag of doctor carried, and wanted to become one myself. It was a dream that was accomplished through tireless hard work. The best part about our course was having the satisfaction to be responsible for someone's oral and general health care. I would like to better improve the stigma that professor-student relationships were strict. Good interaction and unbiased views and healthy discussions help students all professionally. There were many annual events such as the Cele Fiesta which was a weeklong celebration of performances, various competitions, and activities conducted, and carried out by students and teachers. Inter and intra college sports bring in a competitive spirit, and inspire everyone to be healthy and upbeat. Lots of extracurricular activities such as cooking, literary clubs were also present within the seniors and juniors of college. Many state and national level conferences, and symposiums on dentistry were held and attended cross country were students of this college also go to do paper and poster presentations. Research proposals were also welcomed by students and grants were given out to those who receive approval. It was a safe and busy environment with lots to learn from. Students with potential can thrive here, and others can chase their dreams.

It is a good college, and you can join in this college.
Placements: Placements in our college are not that good, but our college has a brand value in India as well as outside India. Many dentists are in eminent positions from BDCH. Any college or dental firm offers recruitment. Top roles offered to the students are professor, assistant professor, intern and clinical assistant.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is well-maintained with respect to libraries, classrooms and hygienic clinics. The hostel has a proper mess with decent food services. Sports and games are lacking here, but spaces for a living are awesome to be precise. Washrooms are clean and hygienic.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The curriculum is quite strict, and it keeps you busy throughout the 4 years. Projects that are given are to be completed within the given time. Exams that are taken are all-encompassing.
Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to be a dentist. Everything needs improvement curriculum wise. Events and fests are not conducted in our college.

Infrastructure: In our college, the Wi-Fi facility was free. There was a great area of the garden for walking and surfing purposes. The building of our college was well designed and constructed. The library had huge space for reading books and the books in the library were well binded.
Faculty: All the faculty members in our branch were well educated. Our mathematics teacher had good knowledge of the basics and advance concepts of mathematics and he taught us in wonderful ways. The semester exams in our college were conducted twice a year. In the semester exam, there was no possibility of cheating by the students.
