BBIT review by Koushiki Nandi.
Placements: In my college, the placement rate is nearly 60%. The highest package one student in the previous year got was 8 Lacs. The average package is 3-4 Lacs. Tech Mahindra, Tejas Network, Hitachi, Vedantu, and Byju's are the companies for our placement in my course. Our college provides internships. In my class, 40% of students are getting internships.
Infrastructure: Our facilities and infrastructure are good. So much organized everything. In the library, there are so many books related to our course and also current affairs and stories books. The canteen is maintained beautifully. I like most facilities available in sports and games. We have the privilege to have a gym and swimming pool with trainers.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They always want to give their time to us. Our semester is happening in a gap of 6 months. Before semester, there are 4 CAs and 2 Vivas. The CAs are very helpful to increase our performance in the semester. Semester exams are a little hard, but if we study hard, then we will get full marks.

BBIT is a nice collage in my view.
Placements: In my college, the CSE placement rate is nearly 80%. The highest package 3 students got was 8 LPA. I don't know the lowest package, but the average package is nearly 4 LPA. Wipro, TCS, and BSNL are the top recruiting companies for my course. Our college provides internships; in my class, 70% of students are doing internships in Wipro, Tata and other companies.
Infrastructure: Our facilities and infrastructure are excellent. In the library, there are so many books related to our courses. The canteen is maintained beautifully. What I like the most is the facility available in sports and games. Our campus is totally wifi enabled.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They always want to help us in any way. Prior to the semester exam, there are four CAs and two VIBA exams. The question pattern is good. And our teachers teach us accordingly; it is a huge benefit. But for marks, we have to study more.

I am satisfied with my college.
Placements: In 2024, 40 to 50 percent students got placed from EE branch. Top recruiting company is TCS. The highest package is 3 lakh and the lowest is 2 lakh per year. Internship is not provided by college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available for my course is good. Proper labs are provided by BBIT. All the books are provided by the college library. Hostel environment is good but food quality in the mess is not good. Medical facilities are available. Games are organised in the hostel.
Faculty: Every teacher is well qualified. Teachers are very helpful and skilled. The teaching quality is good. Every student becomes ready to get a job in companies. Pass percentage in semester exams is 60.

It is totally a waste to live in the college because of the food.
Placements: In campus placement, approximately 65% of students get placement. And the highest package is 9 LPA to 10 LPA. And the lowest to 3 LPA, or if we talk about average placement, then that is 4.5 LPA. I am actually in my 2nd year, so I don't know the company's name, but mostly the local startup and some big companies like Tech Mahindra and TCS. If we talk about internships, it totally depends on students. Because college doesn't provide any kind of internship. Of course, SDE 1 is the highest-level position offered.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, the college is well maintained and has a good campus size in Kolkata. Wi-Fi is only available in library and lab classes. Labs are average. Library size should be large because it only has a capacity of 100-120 people. If you talk about hostel facilities, they are good, but only room and infrastructure. But if you talk about the quality of food that is below average,. And sometimes it gets worse. Medical facilities are free and free check at JIMSH for all the students. In sports, there are some tournaments organized by the college for students.
Faculty: If we talk about some faculty, some are the best, and others are some of the worst in student interaction. If you just want to study, then it is good. But if you have some project, anything after the study, then some faculty are there that will only appreciate you. But all the teachers are well qualified. Course curricula are just for getting a degree. At these moments, if students haven't skilled themselves, there is no chance to get a job in the industry. Semester exams are actually tough because you don't know from where you are going to get questions, even though you can get 75% questions from 1 module. You should have at least D to pass the exam.
Other: If I just have to talk about course B.Tech, computer science and engineering is only for those students who actually want to be part of technology. That is the reason I chose these courses: I love being part of technology. The best thing is you will get to interact with students like you. And you can better opportunity. I want that update course on the latest industry needs. In my college, at least one event is organized every month. College festivals are amazing. All the time, and I love to be part of this. Campus is on the side of Kolkata, so surrounding the college are mainly open areas and some homes. There are scholarships for only West Bengal students; they get up to 60,000 a year. Yes, the college conducted hackathons and many other things for extracurricular activities.

Good College and Minimum Fee Structure.
Placements: This college is good for IT students; many of them get placed in reputable companies. They provide average placements in other core branches. Many reputed companies come to our college, like WIPRO, IBM, QSPIDER, and INFOSYS. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our campus is completely green and joyful, with good infrastructure and full Wi-Fi coverage. The labs are good, and we have smart classrooms and a digital library. They provide hostel facilities with minimum fees, good quality food available in the canteen, and medical facilities, among other amenities.
Faculty: Our faculty members are well-educated, and the relationship between students and faculty is friendly; they always help the students. The lab facilities are very good. The university conducts four class assignment exams, each worth 25 marks, and the average of these CA marks can be added to the semester exam marks.
Other: After completing my Diploma in Electrical Engineering, I applied to many colleges to complete my B.Tech degree, but the fee structure is very high in most. BBIT is one of the colleges with a relatively low fee structure, and scholarship facilities are also available (SVMCM).

It is a good college with a low budget in the current situation.
Placements: The placement rate of our department is quite good, but the overall placement rate is not good. I am currently in my second year. The highest salary package offered by Wipro is around 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1.8 LPA. The top role offered is a software engineer.
Infrastructure: The hostel is not very good. The environment may not be suitable for all students, as most residents are from Bihar. The quality of the food is not very good. There have been instances where unexpected items are found in the meals. One thing that is good about the hostel is its sports side. Regular practice is given by some seniors. The gym and swimming pool are available on the campus.
Faculty: Some teachers come from top institutes like IIEST, NIT, and IIT. Some of them have friendly personalities. The difficulty level of the semester exams is average. Currently, I am in my second year, and the pass percentage is around 60%. The course curriculum is not very relevant.
Other: Since higher secondary school, I have developed an interest in exploring the technical field related to the universe. I want to focus on the first-year subjects, mainly basic electrical engineering and workshops. The festival called Mangus is intense and crowded. It is organised by Jimsh and BBIT together.
