Average placements with a good campus life.

Placements: Placement is very poor. Till 2016, TCS visited and now TCS is not recruiting from BCET. The highest package for ECE was 3.16LPA offered by TCS. Other companies offered a package of around 2.5LPA. For 2017 batch, TechMahindra came for recruitment. There is almost no placement for departments other than CSE, IT and ECE. Even Biotech and mechanical students are placed in IT companies.

Quite satisfied by the placement this year.

Placements: In the previous year, about 40-50% of the students got placed. Many of the students were placed in TCS, Tech Mahindra, Think and Learn Collabera, Asilicon etc. Apart from these companies, many were placed in other companies also. But they didn't bring any core company to the campus.

BCET needs a lot of improvement.

Placements: Only 25-30% students get placed (all branches of B. Tech). Placement is not at all good in this college. Many colleges in Kolkata are a better option for B.Tech. The placement cell is not very supportive. The college placement used to be very good till 2013. After that, the quality of the college degraded.

Faculty of my college are best and they do their work very well.

Placements: The placement is very good. Till now, 65% of students of my batch are placed in different companies. The highest salary is 6 lacs per annum offered by Think and Learn. In the past years, placements were good. There are my companies visiting my college campus like TCS, Think and Learn, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, CTS etc.

Review for Bengal College of Engineering, Durgapur.

Placements: The placement percentage is good at almost 60 70%. Mass recruiting companies, as well as core companies for each department, visit the campus every year. The placement cell is very effective and people over there are pretty helpful as well.

Best college in Durgapur with Makaut Affiliation.

Placements: The college has a good placement record. Many companies visited for campus placement like BPOs, Tech Mahindra, CTS, TCS, and some local companies too. Pool campus placement is also done. More than 40% students have been placed in various companies. Companies are still visiting.

Reality was totally different from expectations.

Placements: The opportunities for Electrical Engineering students were not that good in my batch as well as in senior batches. Mostly, software companies turned up for the placements. It would be better if some electrical companies come. Around 30 percent students got placed. Highest salary was 4.8 LPA and the average salary was 3 LPA. All the students got an internship from the college.

The college should have provided better placements

Placements: Honestly speaking, in this college, the opportunities are very less for the electrical engineering students. Although 3-4 software companies turned up, they hired less number of students. It would be better if some electrical companies also came. About 30-40 percent students got placed. The highest salary offered was 4.8 lakhs PA and the average salary was 3 lakhs PA. All the students got the internship from the college.

4 years of good experience.

Placements: On campus opportunities were very less but the college arranged for some off-campus and pool campus placements for the students. Many software companies turned up for placements but it would be better if some electrical companies had also come. About 30-40 % students got placed. The highest salary offered was 4.8 lakhs PA and the average salary was 3 lakhs PA. All the students got the internship from the college.

Placement wise, it could be better.

Placements: I got placed in IBM on campus and most of the companies that turned up for the placements were software companies. It would be better if some core electrical companies had come too. Around 30-40 percent students got placed. Highest salary was 4.8 LPA and the lowest was 2.4 LPA. All the students got internships from the college.

It was good but could be much better.

Placements: The placements were not that good. Definitely, the scenario could be much better. Only software companies came, so opportunities for Core department students were very less. The highest package was Rs. 4.8 lakhs per annum and the average was only Rs. 2.5 lakhs per annum . TCS, Wipro, IBM were the companies that turned up for the placements. All the students got internship from the college.
