Very dis-appointing experience.

Placements: Frankly speaking, placements were not that good as not even a single electrical company came for on-campus placements. Only very few software companies turned up. the highest salary was 4.8 lakh p.a and average was 3 lakh p.a. from the companies like Wipro, TCS and OBO. Yes, I got internship from college.

The placements disappointed the students.

Placements: The placements were not that good, especially for Electrical and Civil Engineering students. The college was not able to bring good Core companies. Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TCS etc. came for placements. The highest salary was Rs. 4.2 lakhs pa. All the students got an opportunity to undergo internships.

BCET a place to learn but don't expect to get placed

Placements: Placements in BCET are just like searching for pin in a dark room. In my branch, only twenty percent of students got placed which is not good in contrast with the previous year statistics. The highest salary offered was 6 lacs, lowest was 2.35 lacs and the average was 3.3 in which 51 students got placed. The companies which visited for my batch were TCS, Think and Learn Pvt Ltd., Concierge Technology, Tech Mahindra, Swadesh Softwares, etc. They recruited the students for the role of Assistance S...

Dis-satisfied with the placements

Placements: It's very disappointing to say but there were no placements at all for Electrical Engineering students, as not even a single electrical company turned up for placements. Only software companies came. The scenario was same for previous batches also. Only 30-40 percent students got placed. Only two or three big companies came such as Tech Mahindra, Wipro and TCS came to our campus. Although, students got internship from college.

B.C.E.T - Not upto the mark.

Placements: The placements were not that good for my batch as well as the senior batch also. Only software giants like TCS and Wipro came for the placements, and apart from that, the placements for departments like electrical, civil and mechanical were very disappointing as nearly 40 percent students got placed. The highest salary offered was 3.5 lakhs PA, and all the students got the internship from college.

Review of Bengal College of Engineering and Technology

Placements: Initially, it was great. But as years passed by, the placement dried up. Now, very few companies come for placements that can also be a reason for not so great management in the college. Hope the placements again happened the way they were previously. The main reason also can be the almost no existence of big companies in West Bengal.

Not upto the expectations and could have been better.

Placements: Placements were not that good. There were actually no on campus placements at all for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students. Only a few software companies like TCS and Wipro came but they also hired very less number of students. Software developer and Programmer were some of the roles offered to students.

I think this college has not got anything good. The infrastructure is not so good as well. Hostel facilities are not up to the mark. Quality of food in hostel is not good at all. Placements are not good and if you get placed by any chance, you will not get enough salary. I would not recommend this college.

The infrastructure is really good. Every department has its own building. The faculty members are good and interactive. The placements are average. The college has to work a little more for its placement. But all deserving candidates get placed. Companies which come for recruitment include TCS, TECHMAHINDRA, etc.

I study CS in BCET. The campus is good. At our time placements are average, but now it is above. Faculty are well renowned. It has the impressive building. LABS are well furnished. An equal weight of the internal and external exam. Fest is the moment for the whole college waits every year.

Expected much better than this.

Placements: This is the area where most of the students will dislike this college for sure as the placements were below average and they could not bring good enough companies for almost 750 students here. The highest salary offered was 3.6 lakhs PA and the average package was 2.5 lakhs PA. Wipro, TCS and TechMahindra are the companies that came for the placements here. All the students got the internship from here.

Bengal College of Engineering and Technology is one the finest college in West Bengal. It is under WBUT and AICTE approved. The campus infrastructure is healthy and hygienic with good separate hostels facilities for boys and girls. The faculty members are very friendly and helpful and they are quite experienced. I will refer to my juniors to join this college without any hesitation, they also provide better placement (enriched in its sectors).

Not a good college, faculty members are not good but behaviour is good. Labs materials are available and the management is also not good. But lecturers are helpful, they always try to help the students. So my point of view if a guy wants study then he or she should not come to this college.

College is located in the prime locality in the City of Durgapur, West Bengal with good Infrastructure and facilities. Pros: Good Infrastructure, playground, gym, labs, hostels, good connectivity to City Center. Cons: Bad placement, less qualified teachers, management not helpful to students.

Faculties are good but the teaching procedures are not good. Placement was not coming to this college as per I known about this college. Study materials are not sufficient provide by the college to the student. But the good thing is faculties are well behavior. But as per the study I don't prefer anyone to come this college if they want to study seriously.

Totally dissatisfied with the placements.

Placements: There were no placements for civil engineering students. Not even a single civil company turned up. Only a few software companies came for placements such as Wipro, TCS etc. Around 30-40 percent students got placed. The highest salary was 4.8 lakh per annum and lowest was 2.4 lakh per annum. All the students got internships from the college.

It’s good for CSE and IT branch, as they get many companies for the campus recruitment. They also have a good bunch of faculty members for these streams, and for the rest of the branch the management is doing nothing, neither faculty members are there and nor the placements. The management live in 19th century I guess. No WI-FI, no digital setup. No events organized by the management. Only the Students have to take all the initiatives.

I have left my college for close to two years now and while I was there it had been an educational experience, both academically and socially. The batch consisted of people from various parts of India and different walks of life. The best place was the Library and Canteen. The Classrooms were big and airy. The Labs were at par with other private colleges. The Teachers were also a mix of both good and bad. Some were very helpful and good while others were there just to terrorize students. But mos...

I have done my BTech in biotechnology from this college. The teaching staffs were very good and very much co-operative. The lab in our department had facilities with some expensive equipment. But the main negative things about this college is in terms of campus placements. If students want a good job here, they have to attend pool campuses in some other colleges.
