Placements: The college provided placement assistance but no placements as such. A majority of people were pursuing CA/CS so they didn't need placements as such as they needed articleship which the college did provide. Those who wanted had to look on their own. For internships also, students used to approach themselves.
Placements: Honestly, people who are studying here are for CA/CS or they want to start their own venture. So placement isn't the main criteria for them. If one wants to be placed through campus selections, the college asks them to register for the placement. Some big companies like Wipro, etc. are where our seniors and people from our batches have been placed.
Placements: The placements and the internship programmes were organised by the college authorities. Many companies came to recruit the students and nice placements were given to the seniors, especially the commerce students. Around 70 percent of the students were placed as was told to us by our teachers. The average salary offered was Rs. 8 Lacs Per Annum. The companies like Zeroinfy, ICICI and Wipro visited us.
Placements: Companies like Indigo Airlines, Ernst and Young, PNB Metlife, Tata Group, etc. came to the campus for recruitment. Placements are open to all the students irrespective of the college timings, be it morning or evening. The college also guides the students for certifications (if any) required by the company or may be beneficial to the students.
Placements: Well renowned companies such as Deloitte and EY came for placements. Many banks came for recruiting fresh graduates. Overall, there was a decent scope for placements. Not much idea about the packages offered. Plenty of opportunities were provided in the college to develop interpersonal skills necessary for an organisation. It is however totally up to an individual on how he utilises such opportunities and makes the best use out of it.
Placements: I was in B.Com (Hons), so there was literally no campusing in college. Most of the college mates went on to do either MBA or chartered accountancy and went into articleship, the rest went on to their family businesses. But no campus was ever held before. Not even now.
Placements: The college had arranged the placement only for the students who got more than 70% in their graduation results. The companies were airlines and some private companies. The packages were average with the salary of 16000 per month. Don't know much about internships.
Placements: Placements come from big companies like Indigo, ITC and packages provided vary from 3 lacs to 9.5 lacs. The companies which come for placement do not look at the marks secured by the individual but overall personality and attitude of the person. The college students are well nurtured for interview by the teachers. The college conducts practical sessions all through the year to prepare the students to face interview and instill confidence in them to overcome the fear of facing personal interview....
Placements: I don't have much idea about the placement cell out there because I didn't apply for the placement but as far as records show placements go average. Usually, banking companies come down for placement but up to 60% of students were placed in our batch.
One of the colleges to look upon in Kolkata provided your marks for class 12 are very average or you need a college in which attendance is not mandatory. If you want to pursue any other professional course simultaneously then perhaps Bhawanipur will be the most apt college in Kolkata for the student. Faculty over there are helpful and if you are participative in college activities then you have a lot of options to build your CV. Good Infrastructure High intake of students Expansion plans in Ra...

When we talk of college glamour in kolkata the first college that comes to mind is bhawanipur college. Located at the heart of central kolkata, this college is a hub of young and gorgeous people. The college is run by the Gujarati education trust. The only problem that I feel this college has is the fact that the is no compulsory attendace. Once attendance is made compulsory I believe it can easily compete with the best colleges in kolkata. The faculty here is good and dedicated. The best about ...
Classes are interactive in nature and are a healthy mix of formal lectures, case studies and presentations. An equal weightage of 50% is given to both internal and external exams. Tests are conducted on a regular basis which can be both, planned as well as surprise in nature. Although surprise tests are not very common but students try and stay as up-to-date as possible in subjects such as Finance and Economics where you won't know when your knowledge is put to test. Students are not given any h...
The BGESC is A GREAT collage And This college is not up to the mark in quality of teaching. Lab instructors do not teach well. Classes are not conducted as per schedule. Placement is pathetic and no good companies visit the college. Majority of the placements happen in pool campus in some other college, where preference is given to their college students. Pre-placement preparation is also unsatisfactory. Only Computer Science students get preference, while students of other branches suffer due t...
This is most renowned college in Kolkata but not for its education system. I was in morning shift and attendance was not compulsory. Coming to the location of the college, it is located in the most posh area of Kolkata which makes it easier for students to roam around. Now coming to the infrastructure, it has to be good considering the fees they charge. The college is located not very far from Bhawanipur metro which makes it convenient to reach. But this college has positive sides too, they offer...
The good crowd and the infrastructure. From Wi-Fi to AC classes, this college has got everything. Spacious Auditorium. Resourceful Library and a well maintained Canteen. There's also a room for indoor games including carom, table tennis, pool. Though it’s a six floor building yet a spacious ground is what lacks. Also, campus recruitment drives just started from the 2015-16 batch. The fees being high compared to other colleges, recruitment process should be the focus point of college administrati...
The best part of my college is the faculty. If you want to study the facilitation is good. The ones, who join college to have fun with a B.Com, it’s an ideal place as well. The campus life, extracurricular activities and the crowd are ecstatic. The college is A rated from the authorities. The college fest are a good place to showcase your talent, ex UMANG.
The Good: Fully air conditioned campus and spacious classrooms. Well-equipped sports room with basketball and badminton courts inside the campus. Resourceful library. Huge auditorium. Good Faculty and helpful management. Well maintained canteen. Great crowd to spend three years of graduation with. Fests like ‘Umang’, communique and other ECAs. The Bad: Considerably high fees. They say it is a Wi-Fi enabled campus, but there is no Wi-Fi actually.
The college is nice in terms of exposure to co-curricular activities and infrastructure. It also has nice room for games with all the necessary requirements and features. The faculty is also from reputed institutions. It is recommendable for people opting for commerce platforms.
The college infrastructure is excellent. It has games room which is well equipped. It is best for people who want to take up modelling or acting or any other co-curricular activity as a profession. This is because the college provides a lot of exposure to its students through various fests and events.
