B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2018
3.6
2Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Our college provides good infrastructure and labs in the mechanical engineering course.
Placements: Our college does not provide placements. Since I passed out in 2018, I am struggling a lot to get a job. After 6 months, I got a job as the labour only. If they improve placement, then it will be helpful for the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The hostel facility is good. There is no Wi-Fi facility in the college. Classrooms are good in our college. Labs for the mechanical course are good, but other departments labs are not available. Various equipment is not available. There are no medical facilities. Our college should improve the ground and sports.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are good and well-trained. They improve the knowledge of the students. The course curriculum is not relevant, so we are struggling to get the job. Semester exams are tough, and in our batch, most of the students get backlogs. All students cleared the exams in the previous year only.

The college is not much worthy to take admission nowadays.
Placements: We used to participate in the training and placement programs every semester till the final year for the placement opportunities assured by our institute, but we have not received any good placements with good packages. We are dissatisfied with the placement program.
Infrastructure: Mostly, we used to get our lunch from the canteen inside our college as our institute is located outside of Karaikal town. There are two computer labs with good computers. Classrooms are quite older to feel good.
Faculty: The faculty members were good enough and friendly to help us with our studies. Their teaching quantity was acceptable. The syllabus for our MCA course was quite outdated to give us knowledge about the latest technologies and concepts during that time.
Other: I chose the MCA course in our college along with my friend after completing the BCA course in RVS Arts and Science College. They offered us the 3-year MCA program without taking any donations. We've attended many workshops during our course and also in the college. Our college surrounding was not much good to enjoy.

Review of Bharathiyar College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in the course was around 40%. The highest package offered was 4 LPA and the lowest package was around 2.1 LPA. The top recruiting companies in all the courses were in pharmaceuticals, where they offered the role of Sales Representative. Around 20% of the students were given internships in the college, combined across all courses. The top roles offered were System Engineer Trainee, where the placements were held in one of the universities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in my department was great, with labs, classrooms, and the library at a decent level of competency. There wasn't Wi-Fi facility available at the college. The library was of average size with a good amount of books and resources available. The quality of hostels was above average, with regular maintenance being done on a daily basis. The quality of food provided at the hostel was average, with not much emphasis placed on nutrition. I recommend outside stay with food rather than staying in the hostel.
Faculty: The teachers were qualified and knowledgeable. They helped us clear our doubts, and the teaching quality was good too. The professors in the Mechanical department are very knowledgeable and supportive. Yes, with proper self-preparation and support, students were very much ready for job scenarios. The semester exams are difficult and require good preparation to be cleared. With enough support in the curriculum and preparation, students were able to ace the exams. The pass percentage in our department was around 89%.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in the design of automobiles. The best thing about the course in this college is the hands-on approach they give to students regarding various topics that require practical knowledge to understand. The only thing I wished could have been improved was the placement part. There could have been more companies in the placement drive. Regarding the improvement in the course, there could have been more emphasis on internships with more opportunities being provided. The events conducted in the college included college day, fresher's day, sports day, and various cultural events. The campus crowd was positive and optimistic. Scholarships were provided to deserving candidates.

I am somewhat satisfied with the infrastructure, faculty members and placements.
Placements: Only 10% of the students from our course got placed. The average salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Wipro and HCL visit our campus for placements. About 30% of students from our course got an internship in Infosys. A top role offered is a programmer. In every academic year, our college used to conduct campus interviews for their students to get placed in top companies.
Infrastructure: Facilities available on our campus are not up to the mark. Our college provides Wi-Fi, labs, and a library on our campus. The quality of food served in a mess and canteen is not quite bad. The quality of the hostels is quite neat and clean to accommodate their students in a good manner.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good, friendly, enough qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is quite relevant to the current industry, and it is efficient and potential to face the challenge. Their teaching quality is well-appreciated for their dedication and hard work.

Satisfied with the faculty members and the college library, but the college infrastructure is the wo
Placements: 1. 3 percentage of students were placed, but not related to our course.
2. INR 8 thousand per month to INR 10 thousand per month was the salary offered.
3. Water purifier company was the recruiting company.
4. Water delivery manager was the job offered.
Infrastructure: 1. No Wi-Fi is allowed for students, but they provide an internet system to study and download study material and refer for projects, the classroom is normal but no good food and water facility important toilets are worst to the peek, have a great library and more than 1000 number of books to develop your knowledge.
2. Rooms are normal. Food is average. Have one van to go to the hospital, sports are good and have a large ground for games, but sports staff is the worst. They won't get us to another college for any events.
Faculty: Teachers are good and helpful, but some have personal vengeance and give any help. They can and they will take time for our things and let us know the data they know in their life and college has great librarian and internet lab to study with the staff there.
2. It is perfect and makes everyone get a job in many professional works.
