This college has an average infrastructure but laboratories are good. The environment of the college is such that the students generally neglect practicals. Placements are below par, one has to be really lucky to get placed except CS/IT branch. Faculty are good, they have good knowledge about the subject matter. All in all, it is a good college.

The college is very good in terms of the crowd but its lacks in providing good quality teachers. Every batch is full of talent and will to succeed but somehow the government college attitude of teachers demotivates them. In 3rd year the students blindly start to prepare for GATE as they know that the chances of placement are the bare minimum. So, join this college if you believe you can succeed in this competitive world and are ready to fight.

The campus is good and accessible. The laboratories are okay and the faculty is mediocre. Only some teachers, usually at higher positions know what they are talking about. The management has been going back in time rather than moving forward and enforcing nonsensical rules like separate parking and canteens for boys and girls. The one annual cultural-cum-tech fest is organised with high enthusiasm but is riddled with management's censorship and corruption within the organising committee. Only ...

College is pretty good and the infrastructure is good as well. Faculty is of good nature and also studies are good. The only problem is campus is placement. During my batch only a few students got placed. But that too if you will search for some off-campus you can have a job. Overall the college is good.

The college is good considering all aspects. Not only for studies but it also provides students with opportunities to participate in different campaigns like NSS, Ojas (cultural, technical and sports fest). Facilities are erudite. But talking about placements, these are branch selective. For example, for civil branch in 2015, no companies came for campus recruitment.

A college with over 300 acre campus, good infrastructure, events and great pedagogy, Bhilai Institute of Technology was a perfect environment for me to study at. Though placements are not that great, the learning I received will stay in memory for long.

BIT, Durgapur has an impressive academic building but a small campus with no outdoor playground. Classrooms are comfortable. Professors are strict about academics. Canteen offers variety in veg and rates are economical. Campus placements see not more than 10 companies visiting. Fee structure is also ok. First year environment is like that of a school.

The college is average. Campus is good with playgrounds for outdoor games. Attendance norms are strict. All the labs required are there with good lab attendants. But don't expect much from the college. You have to work hard on your own. Number 1 college in Chhattisgarh state after NIT Raipur. Can't rely on the college for placements with good salary.

Not good enough to be called an engineering institution. Teachers there speaks to students as they are labors and not students. University sucks. I recommend that no one should join this institution or any institute under CSVTU. They threat students because they have sessional in their hands. Students here come to study but with foul tone used by faculties becomes a big time trouble for students. It’s only a money making factory for the trusties like IP Mishra. They don't even check the educatio...

Well it’s a state level college. So you can’t expect much from it. I can say that BIT is not worth its name. Faculty - Only few faculties are average (not good). Other faculties lack the basic knowledge of the subjects they teach. Infrastructure - The College has good infrastructure but it lacks in basic facilities like very poor quality food in canteen etc. Management - The management of BIT is good. Placements - The most important thing. Placements in BIT are slow these days. Only a handful st...

Bhilai Institute of Technology-Durg popularly known as BIT-Durg and frequently confused with BITS (Birla Institute of Technology) is considered one of the best college in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. Let me start with the place and its nearby areas. The city of Durg is a small place 40Km from the capital city of Raipur, with absolutely bad roads and costumer preference services. Do not expect a shop to open up before 11AM and after 10PM. If you find one, its because either its one of its ki...

The faculty members of the college are well qualified. The laboratories of the college are well equipped but the lab classes are not so interactive and are not given much importance. The campus is so green and it has a good environment. I do not suggest to choose this college for doing engineering you can try in other state but if you want to study in Chhattisgarh then this is best option for you as this is the best college of Chhattisgarh.

Placements here are not good, else are good than other colleges in CSVTU. Faculty members have very good knowledge of their subjects but scope of projects and research are poor. One should try to get into some other university than this. OJAS college fest is organised here, which is known in entire Chhattisgarh. Joining hostel here is sin as hostelers say because management don't even fulfil their basic need like food, clean water. College is having Wi-Fi which doesn't gives good speed. The only...

This is a new college and during my time the infrastructure was not so good and it was under construction stage. It has one advantage that it has a brand name of a 25 year one of the most prestigious college of Chhattisgarh but with passing years the college will grow and will attract a lot of companies for placements.

Satisfaction due to poor guidance.

Placements: Placement scenario is decreasing day by day. Cognizant and Accenture are the two top companies which give good packages and recruit people. But the percentage of students getting placement is below 60%, and the development as well as guidance is not so good.

Review of Bhilai Institute of Technology.

Placements: All students got placed from our course in many companies. The salary package offered is 5 LPA. The placement rate of our course is 90%. Our course has a good placement rate compared to other courses.

The college should focus on improving the placements for the mechanical branch.

Placements: The placement percentage is really very poor. In Mechanical, 1 or 2 out of 100+ students are placed. The highest package is 10 LPA. The lowest is 2.5 LPA. Since very less students are placed in this stream so no average required. No core companies come for the mechanical stream. There are other marketing companies like Byju's. Almost everyone got an internship in like BSP, Jindal, Railways etc.

Overall, our college is good.

Placements: Almost 30% of the students got placed in this course. The average salary package offered maybe 3 LPA because students are not capable enough who can bag a salary package of more than 10 LPA. TCS is the top recruiter because no other big companies come. In our course, the salary package offered is 2 LPA.

I am dissatisfied because of placements.

Placements: About 6.65% of the students from our course got placed. The salary package offered is 3-4 LPA. Infosys is the top recruiter of our college. An assistant engineer is a top role offered to the students in our course. I don't know about the salary packages offered in our course. Around 10% to 20% of the students got internships, but I am not sure where students got internships. However, I come to know that students got internships in Bhilai Steel Plant.

The college is good but not very good.

Placements: Placements in our college are not very good because the college didn't focus on practical skills and practical work experience. Only a few students get placed, and they get only 2 to 4 LPA salary package. After that, they are not happy with their jobs. The college doesn't focus on improving the skills of the students.
