Satisfied because of the good teachers and the good environment of this college.
Placements: The psychology department has a large number of students, and the professors are highly responsible. They are always available for the students, and their teaching style is excellent. Personally, I find their teaching methods enjoyable, and they provide thorough education on both theoretical and practical topics. Additionally, they offer continuous support to us. While our college has a placement cell, it does not provide individual placement facilities for each department.
Infrastructure: Our department and our college have Wi-Fi connections, and our psychology department also has a specific laboratory for doing practicals. The department also has sufficient classrooms, and there is a central library in our college where the books for all subjects can be found.
Faculty: The teachers at our college are incredibly supportive and always assist us in our studies. They are highly qualified, with each of them holding a doctorate degree after completing their Ph.D. The teachers prepare us thoroughly for our future academic pursuits, ensuring that we are well-prepared. It is worth mentioning that our college is affiliated with Calcutta University, which is known for its challenging exams. Therefore, the semester exams are not to be taken lightly, with a passing percentage set at 30%.
Other: I have a strong passion for psychology and find great joy in studying human behavior. This is the reason why I decided to pursue this course. Additionally, I believe that having an internship program at the graduation level would be beneficial. Furthermore, the various events on campus, such as the crowding scholarship and extracurricular activities, are exceptional. I have a deep affection for my college.

I am satisfied with our faculty members and hostel facilities but not satisfied with placements.
Placements: In our college, placements take place every year, but due to COVID, we didn't get any placements. Students are now pursuing their master's degrees from many colleges.
Infrastructure: Bijoy Krishna Girls' College is a very old college and, it has many facilities for girls as being a girls' college. Hostel quality is very good. Food is available twice a day in the hostel. There is security in the hostel. There is a smart classroom in our department, and Wi-Fi is also available. There is a sports complex, but no one plays there.
Faculty: Teachers of the mathematics department of Bijoy Krishna Girls College are very efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable. They always have friendly behavior with students. Other department teachers are also good. There are some other courses, like the computer courses, which are not that helpful. They didn't do it professionally. Semester exams are not that difficult and the pass percentage is about 85%.
Other: We had a decent campus. There was an annual function, sports etc., which entertains students. I chose this course because I like the subject and I chose the college because their hostel facility is very good. They should be more conscious about placements.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with administration, average placements, infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: For botany, the number of students who get admission here is very low. However, the number of applicants is quite high. Alumni is quite good, and yet it depends a lot on students to which position they reach and how. In botany, joining schools and colleges is a common job role, and yet few students applied for MBA.
Infrastructure: As for botany, there are no very elaborated labs, but it's good. There should be few more home specimens. Wi-Fi is not very good. The library is usually for students who are well versed in the Bengali language. For Hindi or English medium students, it is a bit difficult. There is also no huge collection of books, but students can get the work done. The canteen is good, although the dishes we want are not always available. So, our college needs to work on it. Medical facilities are average, and our college is not much involved in sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful here but less helpful in certain areas like the botany department, etc. Teachers are kind of weak. Exams are convenient. The curriculum is relevant but does not make students industry-ready. You need to improve yourself on your own. The difficulty level of semester exams depend on how question papers are set from semester to semester, but they are usually moderately hard. But evaluation is non-lenient. So, the pass percentage is a bit above average to average.
Other: Botany isn't actually a very likeable subject, yet it offers you some diverse tours to the best gardens and parks (botanical). There should be better teachers with thorough knowledge, and they should know how to teach, help and especially should not be biased. They should add more visual effects of topics, so students get more interest. Our college should add more books and more tours, so we see actual plants. Events and fests are organised quite grandly. The campus crowd is low because it's only a girls college. Campus surroundings are green and offer quiet space. It is not a very good place for extra-curricular activities due to a lack of interest among students and teachers equally. They should work on it.

Review of Bijoy Krishna Girls College.
Placements: A small company visited the campus in the final year of graduation and very few students got the opportunity to start working for them right after completing their graduation. Professors should be more aware of the placement facilities other colleges are offering and do the same in our college too. Many students cannot pursue higher studies. A lot of them need a job right after college. Like many other colleges, if our college starts organising placements, request a maximum number of companies of a different era, students will be beneficial. Our college got an overall rating of A if not A+ from the University of Calcutta. During our course, one BPL company came to the college and recruited only five students which is an exceedingly small number. If more companies visit the campus, they will recruit more students every year. The college would be able to inspire more students to get admission to this college. The principal and placement authorities should create a team every year with enthusiastic students which will be named as Placement Co-ordinating Team. They would talk to the corporates, convince them to come to our college for recruitment. Thus, those students will learn client management skills that in turn will help them build a career in the near future. Overall placement in Bijoy Krishna Girls' College, Howrah was not noteworthy.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure was very good. But during our course, the hostel building was under construction. According to our juniors who got the chance to live in the hostel and study, the facilities were quite good. The canteen was also very poor, and only a few dishes were available, and even those were not good in taste. I hope the girls living in the hostel, are served good quality food. One good thing about the canteen kitchen was that it was as clean as it was supposed to be.
Faculty: Like every college, a few faculty members in our college were excellent, but some were not up to the mark. We had only five faculty members for economics, six faculty members for Mathematics, and one faculty member for statistics. Among all, the professor of statistics was not good at all.
Other: Annual events and fests, sports, cultural activities, and competitions were the specialties of this college. But the main problem was people involved in the management did not know how to promote these events. It was on the whole a joyful experience.
