A good college with less fee for local students who don't want to go far from home.
Placements: Please do not expect anything from this institute. I have done diploma in the mechanical branch from this institute and got placed in Mahindra & Mahindra Swaraj Mohali, but I got this job through my own resources. Many of my batchmates are still unemployed and looking for jobs.
Infrastructure: About the infrastructure, there are only two blocks for all courses like B.Tech, Polytech, MBA, BBA, MCA, etc. There are separate hostels for boys and girls on campus with password protected Wi-Fi facility, and they do not share the password. The library is okay and in the name of games, only table tennis available in one locked room. For medical help, they provide their vehicle free of cost to the hospital and that's it.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college are good, but the problem is that no one stays longer. During my two years of diploma, we got a new teacher in every semester, and many of them ran their own institute. Workshop instructors are very sound in practicals, and they have good experience in industry so that we can learn many things from them about the industry life.
Other: The campus is not too crowded, and we can easily commute to Shimla city through buses and taxis. Free education is provided to all SC and ST students, and besides this, there are no scholarships provided in this institute. There are no events and extracurricular activities organised by the institute.

BIMT Shimla - Don't waste your money and time here
Placements: There is simply no placement in this college. Neither our senior batches got placed nor our junior batches. A job fair was organised in our college by a NGO but even those companies were fake ones. In the name of placement, some of the passed out students from this institute are given job offers for the post of teachers even if they haven't cleared their courses completely. The students with supplementary are given job offers for teaching. No job placement meet was ever conducted by the college authorities.
Infrastructure: In the name of Wi-Fi, there is nothing. Previously it had one which had a range of 1-2 rooms, now even that isn't working. The classrooms aren't spacious enough. Most of the subject books aren't found in the library. The magazines are outdated ones. There isn't a first aid box in the name of medical facilities. If some student gets ill, they have to arrange for the vehicle themselves. There is one small canteen in the campus. There aren't adequate opportunities for sports. Hostels aren't tidy. They aren't regularly cleaned. The only good thing is that the lab has adequate equipment.
Faculty: The faculty of ECE department was very helpful. The faculty was well-experienced and trained. The student to faculty ratio was 20:1. The teaching used was regular tests. Students were made to prepare topics so that it can be discussed within the class. There was no industry exposure. The course curriculum approved by the university wasn't up to date. Introducing field oriented topics would have been helpful.

Other: This is the worst engineering institute of Himachal Pradesh. They do have not arranged any campus interview yet.
As far as the faculty members are concerned, some of the teaching faculty don't know how to teach. They don't want to provide the must knowledge to their students.

Average college with average placement and good facilities.
Placements: Placement drive takes place every year in which good companies visit the campus to hire students every year. 40 to 50% students get placed with an average package of 3 to 4 lacs. Other students go for their education or they prefer to go with government job.
Infrastructure: Bell institute provides each and every facility to its students like Wi-Fi at every corner of campus. AC being installed in each class room. Also there is medical emergency control room available for students all the time. Campus has many canteens inside it which provides best quality food for its students.
Faculty: Bells institute of management and technology has a good qualified staff members of each and every course. Faculty members behave in a very friendly manner to every student and provide them best quality education. Faculty members also prepare students for different industrial visits or other programs like internship.
Other: Good campus and good crowd with enchanting location located in between the hills of Shimla.

I am satisfied because of faculty members, placements, infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Above 65% of the students get placed in our course. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month, and the highest salary offered is Rs. 45,000 per month. Best recruiting agencies from Chandigarh hire students from our college. Top roles offered are of chartered accountants and accountants. In our course, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 6,000 per month and the highest salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month. Around 70% of the students got internships from our college.
Infrastructure: Our college provides free Wi-Fi, library, and classrooms in our course. Medical and sports facilities are good. The quality of the food served is quite impressive. Canteen and classrooms are well cleaned from time to time, and there is no excuse for dirty places. I wish to come again to this college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and polite. Their way of talking and the teaching quality are of a very high level. Our college provides good studies. The course curriculum is relevant, and it trains well for the early future. They make us a man to stand in public.
Other: I opted for this course because of my passion for it. I can do what I put on my mind. Some functions and programs are held at the college to refresh our mind.

BIMT is not a good college.
Placements: Placements in our college are not good enough, and it should be improved. After the degree, you will get a placement with a low salary. You have to work 10-15 hours, and you only get about Rs. 5,000-10,000 per month. Only 10% of the students get placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities available in our college are the worst. Our college does not provide Wi-Fi facility for students. Classrooms and library must be upgraded. In the library, the latest books are not available. Medical facilities are available. Quality of food served in the canteen is also very poor.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are not good. The institution authority can't afford some good teachers, so they hire previous session dropout students of the institution on contract bases. They are knowledgeable. Industry exposure is given by only small companies.
