Placements: About 20% of students were placed from our course. The salary package offered was 1 LPA. About 80% of students got internships from our course. I have taken admission in B.Tech in computer science and engineering because I think it is the future demand of the private sector in the country.

Placements: I'm from the 2010-2014 batch, and there were 150 students in the mechanical branch. None of the students was placed from the campus. Even our seniors were not placed. None of the companies visited our campus for placements. Indian army visited our campus for recruitment. Even after that, the placement record of the campus was 0%. There is no placement cell. We have to get industrial training opportunities on our own. They don't even conduct any industry visits.

You have to realize that the monetary value of whatever money you spend in BITS for your education is extremely less than what you stand to gain in the 4-5 years. Yes, of course not everyone becomes successful but even lesser are given an opportunity to become successful. You are ready to spend 10-15 lacs easily on higher education in the U.S.A for a duration of 2 year course but spending 7-8 lacs for a 4 year course and that too much more valuable in your life seems a little too high.
