I am satisfied with the college because it's awesome in every aspect, from studies to fun.
Placements: 30% of total students in our college enrolled for my course. From my course, many students got government jobs. More than 40% of students got internships, and they are doing well. Overall, it is a well-decorated college I have ever seen.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in our college. There are several labs. The classrooms are well facilitated. Projectors are used to teach us. There are well-trained faculty members. Our college has a the most enriched library in the Purba Bardhaman district. There are 2 boys hostels and 1 ladies hostel. Annual sports, annual function, and a greeting to the newcomers are conducted once a year.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. In terms of teaching, they are very good. From this course, our stock of words has been increased so well. We are very much benefited from this course and our faculty members. Semester and internal exams are very difficult. A minimum of 65% is required to qualify the exams.
Other: To make myself better in English, I chose this course. The best thing about this course is the variety of words one can learn from this course. I think the texts should slightly be changed in this course. Our college is the best.

Review of Burdwan Raj College.
Placements: I am pursuing English Hons from Burdwan Raj College under CBSC board. Around 30% of students were placed in our course. The highest salary offered is around Rs. 40,000 per month, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. There is no recruiting company in this course.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility at our college. Labs do not have any new instruments, and new books are not provided in the library. Hostels are in very bad conditions and old, and there is no Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are neither good nor responsible. They can't cover the syllabus in proper time, and they didn't provide notes and didn't conduct a class test. They are very bad, and they can't encourage students.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like English subject. The college should improve the syllabus as CBSC systems will improve students' mind. The college provided many scholarships. Every year an annual sports event is held in our college.

The facilities offered were excellent. The college management is very helpful.
Placements: The placements in our college are one of the best in India. Being an IIT, one would expect great placements. This year, the highest salary package offered was 1.38 cores and was offered to a student of the mathematics computing domain. Moreover, the average salary package offered for the students of the CSE department was 25 LPA. For the electronics students, the package offered is around 14-15 LPA. The lowest package goes around 9-10 LPA. Overall, the placements are good here.
Infrastructure: As far as the infrastructure is concerned, it's not what you usually expect from an IIT because of many reasons. Since it has been one of the oldest universities and has an open campus, the facilities are not that great here. However, if you come here, you will enjoy the vast campus and campus life.
Faculty: The faculty members in our college are the best and are up to our expectations. The course is manageable and easy, so you will find it fun studying in college. We don't have to write the whole practical file here. Moreover, the exams papers are not from any other university. Even the answer sheets are evaluated within the college by our professors. They show our answer sheets to us after the evaluation just like school teachers.
Other: The college offers good scholarships. The connectivity and campus crowd are good.

Dissatisfied with the faculty members and teaching.
Placements: There are no placement opportunities. Government colleges mostly lack in this aspect, whereas the private ones provide placement opportunities to most of the students. After passing out from college, I had no job, and the government hasn't taken this issue seriously. As I am not from a rich family, life has become tough even though I have good abilities.
Infrastructure: Burdwan Raj College has a proper old building, and a huge campus for the college to keep its name. Classrooms and laboratories are maintained almost well, and they are spacious enough for the students to fit in with a snug. The canteen is poorly progressed. A cycle stand boasts its presence, though the bikes and scooters are kept in an open space. Hostel rooms are not much good. But the worst and irritating thing is that there isn't a single dustbin on the whole campus.
Faculty: According to me, the value of government faculty members is going down every day because the caste-based reservation system is diminishing the chances of talented and deserving teachers to get recruited first. The part-time faculty members are more efficient in teaching compared to the full-time faculty members. In the absence of part-time faculty, we were helpless academically. None of the senior teachers including the HOD is efficient enough to teach students with a spark. The teaching methods were very poor. Though one of the professors started an AV class, it is not necessary to teach literature using audio-visual techniques. It is the passion of a teacher towards teaching that makes a student imagine and understand the concepts. We didn't get any industry exposure. The course curriculum was provided for namesake for B.A degree course. If students want to learn much more, then it is better for them to go to good private tutors and be in a safe zone. It may be different for other departments. However, all the government colleges are the same.
Other: Fests are organised in our college, but it is mainly under the control of the local political party. My friends and I have enrolled our names for singing, and we prepared to perform a mashup song, but that was cancelled on the sole-decision of some party leaders. Projects were done by us. I don't know about scholarships. Sports and certain local events used to take place.

It is the best college in the city.
Placements: The college offers many opportunities for its students. Some students from our senior batch got opportunities for their higher studies in Burdwan University. They also come to us and share their ideas. Two of our seniors got scholarships for higher studies in Burdwan University and Jadavpur University.
Infrastructure: It is one of the best colleges in our city. This college might be old, but the infrastructure provided is good. All the classrooms are well-equipped with decent blackboards, fans, lights etc. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Not only in studies, the college is good even in sports. A huge and modern playground is present in the middle of the campus. We can play almost every popular game in this field, and the college provides equipment. The campus is surrounded by many trees. Dustbins are available in every corner of the college, which is very important to maintain cleanliness. The college is connected to two main roads of this city. One can get all the transport facilities. In spite of being a student of literature, I have seen those rooms and labs of science, they are very modern and fully equipped with modern and updated instruments. It also has some digital classes with A/C facilities. One can enjoy studies and learn in a modern way.
Faculty: Being the best college in this city, it has highly educated teachers. Most of the teachers are doctorate holders. Some of them have achieved it foreign universities. All the teachers are very helpful and friendly to us. We can discuss our problems with them without any hesitations. Students are asked to give feedback about the teachers every month, regarding their teaching and the problems if they have any. The faculty conduct extra classes before the exams if the students it. Overall, our teachers are very helpful, and we love our teachers.
Other: Besides education, we also learn about socialisation. Fresher's party, Teacher's day and college social events are celebrated in the college. Besides these, we also participate in many social activities like cleaning the road, charity etc. The college offers many scholarships to the bright and poor students.
