The placements are good but not student friendly.

Placements: The placements of the college are good. Around 80% students got placed in the year 2016. The highest placement offer in 2015 was Rs. 9 lakhs in the SAP labs. The average package offered is Rs. 3.2 lakhs every year. The software companies do come to our college. Though there are not much core companies that come here, the core students get placed in the software companies. Some companies that visit our college are Infosys, Voltas, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, etc.

I request to please focus on the sports which is important for the students overall development.

Placements: Many of our senior students who were eligible were placed in the big companies. The highest package offered was 5.0 lakh per annum and the average package offered was around 3.0 lakhs per annum. Many companies visited our college like voltas, vedanta, JK papers and Reliance. There were various students offered internships in the famous steel plants. Some were paid internships, and some were not.

A well-maintained college with a really good reputation in Eastern India

Placements: The placement here is meagre. Only 2-3 companies are invited to this college for recruitment, unlike other colleges where students have a choice to decide which company to go for. And moreover, the package is very low. Placement of senior batch was awful. 10% were placed. The highest package was 6.5 lacs per annum. Mostly programmer profile was offered.

Points to note about C.V.Raman College of Engineering

Placements: Several MNCs are recruiting a lot of students. Seniors seemed to be quite satisfied with placements. CDAC is held every year with several training sessions for better performance. Faculty members and facilities are in abundance. In the recent news, Google is about to come to train the students. Several more companies are giving their training to students for a better job expectation and also a better resume to show. Last year, a student is said to have been given a post with a 7-digit salary. ...

Best in infrastructure in comparison to other colleges in Odisha.

Placements: The placements of our seniors are very poor. This time, the percentage of students placed was below average. Ten members got placed from the electrical branch, seven of them were placed in Infosys and rest two of them in other campus placements. One of the students got placed in Infosys as well as Voltas. Our college also provides industrial training as it is connected with two most well-known companies, i.e. Bosch and Siemens. But this year, only one student from our electrical branch made it t...

Pretty good experience of four years

Placements: Placement was decent for our batch in terms of percentage. Around 70 percent of our colleagues got placed in one or the other software company. The highest package offered was around 6 lakhs and the lowest was around 2.5 lakhs. Diverse roles were assigned to students like software developer, testing engineer, management trainee, etc.

Best in class college with good infrastrucute and placements

Placements: There are good placements in the college. Around 500 out of 700 students are placed from my batch. We have a good training and placement cell for conducting the placements. The college also called a good number of companies for software people but for core branches like mechanical, we didn't have much scope in terms of placements.

An overall perfect institute.

Placements: Many top companies like Cognizant, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, etc came in the year 2015-2016 and recruited many students from all the branches for the information technology field. Companies like Bosch India recruited for the core branches as well and offered a handsome salary.

One of the top colleges in eastern India and in Odisha. Good placement, infrastructure, facilities.

Placements: The placement of the college is quite good. Most of the multinational IT companies like Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant visited the college for recruitment. Apart from that, many core companies visited the college. This year also, companies like RSB Transmission, Tata, Voltas, Bosch, etc. The overall placement is 65 to 70 % with 95% in CSE, IT, ETC branches. Beautiful campus, nice infrastructure, extraordinary curriculum, good placements, average faculty.

Placements: Our senior batch had a very healthy placement season while in the campus. However, the IT market this year took a hit and hence our placement season was a bit shady. This year, around 75% of our batch students are already placed in various companies while some companies are yet to come. The lowest average salary offered would be 2.25 lakhs/annum and maximum average salary would be 6 lakhs/annum.

B.Tech in CV Raman is an awesome experience in life.

Placements: There is 90% placement. Majority of the recruiters were IT companies. The T&P department is very active and trying to increase the campus placement. All the companies are above average with good quality and services in the market. All the companies are well established and above 3 years in the market.

Go for it. It was a great experience.

Placements: The placement offered were quite good in terms of students from departments like CS, ECE and EE. There were fewer core companies, but overall, it was the way to go with opportunities for every individual. There were placement drives from many renowned companies like Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Asahi Glass, JK Papers and a few more. On an average, every placed individual was provided with a minimum package of 3 lakhs PA and about 80% of the students were successfully placed during our session. ...

I'm absolutely dissatisfied with the chemical branch faculty. Less in number, not too knowledgeable.

Placements: Placements in our college are not so good. There are only 2-3 companies for some branches and that's all, but too many companies are there for computer science and information and technology branch. Management personnel are not soft-headed. They do what they like and do not take care of the students' feelings and support them. If one gets selected in a particular core company, then that student doesn't get a chance to sit in the next company, which is unfair to that and our college is not tied ...

Placements: Software placements: nearly 510 students got placed in Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys & 3 students got placed in Capgemini, 3 in tech Mahindra Software placement is very good. Core companies placement was moderate as nearly 50 students got placed in various core companies such as Uniparts, Tractor India Ltd, BRG Steel.

A good college to study B.Tech.

Placements: The college shows 100% placement on its website or brochure but the real placement is around 50-60%. Many IT companies like TCS, Infosys and Wipro visits the campus for placements. This year, they hired approx. 267 eligible candidates but if you want placements in core companies, there are very low chances that you will get placed because very few core companies visits the campus. You can apply for off-campus placements. Many students this year get placed in the core companies by off campus inte...

CVRCE- a bright future ahead.

Placements: Last year the college had a fairly good placement. More than 50% of the students were got hired any many companies like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Voltas, Robert Bosch etc. But this year the campus placement is a bit low due to the recession in IT industries. Wipro, Infosys and Cognizant are the mass recruiters here. The average salary is about Rs. 3.25 lpa. Internship is done by students on their own. College only provides an acknowledgment for this.

The college is a beautiful green campus. Teachers are average but facilities are great. Placements are incredibly good. A lot of fun activities is possible in the campus. The college has year round events and promotes extracurricular activities. Boys’ hostel was not so good. After first-year boys are not allowed in the hostel so that's one problem but girls hostels are superb.
