Beautiful campus, nice infrastructure, extraordinary curriculum, good placements, average faculty.

Placements: Our senior batch had a very healthy placement season while in the campus. However, the IT market this year took a hit and hence our placement season was a bit shady. This year, around 75% of our batch students are already placed in various companies while some companies are yet to come. The lowest average salary offered would be 2.25 lakhs/annum and maximum average salary would be 6 lakhs/annum.

C. V. Raman College of Engineering: Both good and bad things.

Placements: The college placement is managed by Admin. Many companies both in core and software fields visited the campus for placements including companies like Infosys, TCS, Bosch, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Capgemini, Wipro and much more. Though most of the students are placed, the college doesn't guarantee 100% placements. In my batch, many students were unplaced. Also, there is no one company per person policy. That means one person can sit and convert more than one company. ...

B.Tech in CV Raman is an awesome experience in life.

Placements: There is 90% placement. Majority of the recruiters were IT companies. The T&P department is very active and trying to increase the campus placement. All the companies are above average with good quality and services in the market. All the companies are well established and above 3 years in the market.

Dissatisfied by the education technique. Management people are not friendly.

Placements: Placements for our senior batches were good. At least 1-2 core companies visited. But during our placement, only IT or consultation companies visited. As we were from the mechanical batch, we were only allowed to sit for only 1 IT or consultation companies in placement. Day 1 companies were Infosys, Wipro, and Cognizant for which anyone can try for all of them. Around 500 students participated in it. Branches that were allowed to sit for this campus were ME, EE, ETC, IT, CSE, AEI and chemical. P...

Go for it. It was a great experience.

Placements: The placement offered were quite good in terms of students from departments like CS, ECE and EE. There were fewer core companies, but overall, it was the way to go with opportunities for every individual. There were placement drives from many renowned companies like Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Asahi Glass, JK Papers and a few more. On an average, every placed individual was provided with a minimum package of 3 lakhs PA and about 80% of the students were successfully placed during our session. ...

A very good college for core branch students.

Placements: The placements are outstanding than any other college in Odisha. Top MNCs like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, IBM and many more come for recruitment. Core companies like Tata Steel, Tata Voltas, Bosch, Robert Boch RSB, Vedanta visit for recruitment.

A right career choice and worthy investment of time and money.

Placements: Most of the placement occurs in IT companies. Core companies rarely recruit from this college. But the pre-placement training is very useful which will be helpful in other competitive exams. The average package is 3.38 lakhs per annum. Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Bosch, Voltas like companies come here for campus drive. Also, the college sends students to other colleges for off-campus drives.

Great infrastructure and placements.

Placements: The core placements are very few. The institution has a very good placement in the IT industry. With almost 90% of the students getting placed, the institute provides one of the best placement environment in Odisha. The cores companies consist of Bosch, Voltas, and some RAC companies. The salary packages vary from 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs with an average being 3.5 lakh.

Good infrastructure and facilities but disappointed with the faculties and placements.

Placements: Tha number of recruiting companies has increased since the last 2 years. However, there lies very less chance of placement if you are from branches like mechanical engineering, chemical engineering etc. with an average grade point of about 8.0. Most of the placements are from the software and electronic related branches like computer science, information technology and ETC. I'm absolutely dissatisfied with the chemical branch faculty. Less in number, not too knowledgeable.

Placements: Placements in our college are not so good. There are only 2-3 companies for some branches and that's all, but too many companies are there for computer science and information and technology branch. Management personnel are not soft-headed. They do what they like and do not take care of the students' feelings and support them. If one gets selected in a particular core company, then that student doesn't get a chance to sit in the next company, which is unfair to that and our college is not tied ...

Placements: Software placements: nearly 510 students got placed in Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys & 3 students got placed in Capgemini, 3 in tech Mahindra Software placement is very good. Core companies placement was moderate as nearly 50 students got placed in various core companies such as Uniparts, Tractor India Ltd, BRG Steel.

A good college to study B.Tech.

Placements: The college shows 100% placement on its website or brochure but the real placement is around 50-60%. Many IT companies like TCS, Infosys and Wipro visits the campus for placements. This year, they hired approx. 267 eligible candidates but if you want placements in core companies, there are very low chances that you will get placed because very few core companies visits the campus. You can apply for off-campus placements. Many students this year get placed in the core companies by off campus inte...

CVRCE- a bright future ahead.

Placements: Last year the college had a fairly good placement. More than 50% of the students were got hired any many companies like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Voltas, Robert Bosch etc. But this year the campus placement is a bit low due to the recession in IT industries. Wipro, Infosys and Cognizant are the mass recruiters here. The average salary is about Rs. 3.25 lpa. Internship is done by students on their own. College only provides an acknowledgment for this.

Placements: In the 2013-17 session, Infosys, Cognizant and Wipro were the companies of day 1 campus drive. Out of which 138, 72 and about 78 students were recruited in Cognizant, Infosys and Wipro respectively. The college was allowed to participate in the off-campus in NIST for Tech Mahindra and in KIIT for Voltas. In Voltas, three students were selected from CVRCE.

The college is a beautiful green campus. Teachers are average but facilities are great. Placements are incredibly good. A lot of fun activities is possible in the campus. The college has year round events and promotes extracurricular activities. Boys’ hostel was not so good. After first-year boys are not allowed in the hostel so that's one problem but girls hostels are superb.

Placement is good and the average salary package is about 3.6 LPA. Facilities like library, WIFI, hostel, computer labs are provided by the college. Faculty is up to the mark.
