November 30, 2020: Dr SRK Prasad, Correspondent, CIT - Coimbatore Institute Of Technology has recently been presented with the prestigious Pinnacle Award for being the recipient of the Business Leader award for seven consecutive years. The award was presented by the World Confederation of Businesses (WORLDCOB), Houston, USA, a member of the US Chamber of Commerce during a virtual ceremony held on November 24. Dr Prasad, who operates in an innovative, professional and comprehensive manner, has been rewarded for being a successful leader.
Team CIT has also won honours for Corporate Leadership, Productivity, Creativity and Marketing Strategy. For his groundbreaking and futuristic work in education, science and governance, Dr Prasad has many international awards and titles to his credit. "The Name In Science," "Cambridge Key," "The Socrates Award," are a few awards granted to Dr Prasad in the United Kingdom.
ARIIA Ranking 2020: Coimbatore Institute of Technology Ranks Third in Government Institutes Category
August 18, 2020: Ministry of Education, Government of India today released the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievement (ARIIA) 2020. Over 674 institutes participated in total in two categories – Government Institutions and Private Institutions. As per the ranking data, the CIT Coimbatore - Coimbatore Institute Of Technology ranked third in the category of Government Institutes and Government-Aided Institutes.
Since its inception, CIT has been paving way for both students and faculty members with the necessary basis for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development. The programmes related to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Innovation, Start-up and Entrepreneurship events are conducted periodically and all of these programmes involve students and faculty members actively and aim at creating awareness among students about innovation and entrepreneurship. The students and faculties' inventions are licensed under patents and are given the impetus required for the commercialisation and promotion of technology. Coimbatore Institute of Technology has an ecosystem that encourages high-quality research, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Chairman Dr Prasad Receives Srinivasa Ramanujan Life Time Achievement International Award
February 24, 2020: IRDP Group of Journals presented prestigious award of Srinivasa Ramanujan Life Time Achievement International Award to Chairman and Correspondent of CIT Coimbatore - Coimbatore Institute Of Technology, DR SRK Prasad for his outstanding excellence and remarkable presence in Teaching, Research and Publication. To present this award Retired Judge of High Court Madras, Justice S. Rajeswaran was invited. The ceremony was hosted in the institute’s campus on February 23.
About 3.25 lakh experts were nominated for this award.
