It's average. Nothing special.

Placements: Placements were conducted for the pass out students this year, company that came was dockendale. Hoping the placements improve in the upcoming years. Placement is not the best at the moment but if you're a top student then placement will be assured.

Apart from placements everything was good at Coimbatore Marine college.

Placements: Coimbatore Marine College did not have very many placement opportunities for its students. Very few of the students in this batch get placed at this college. The average package offered at the college was between 3 and 6 LPA. Students were not getting proper placement support from the college. Internships were also not given to the students.

B.Tech degree for low cost.

Placements: Placement in Coimbatore Marine College: In last Two years due to covid many colleges struggling to give placement. Before covid I heard that Dockendale shipping private ltd recruited students from CMC. It give good placement for ETO. We hoping to increase B.Tech placement in future.

Overall, the college is excellent.

Placements: There are 80-90 students per batch, and some students get good placements with an average package of 6-10 LPA. Companies like MAERSK, etc., come here. On average, 60% of students got internships. Some students are offered higher positions in shipping like capitan, chief engineer etc.

Reviewing Coimbatore Marine College.

Placements: This course is under IMU University. The eligibility for this course is the need to clear IMUCET exam with a good rank having 60% in PCM and 50% in English compulsorily. You need to take a medical test from DG approved hospital which includes an eye check up. I secured 4200 rank in IMUCET exam. Our batch of B.Tech ‘23 with a strength of 38 students includes one girl. The IMUCET exam is not a tough exam. You just need to concentrate on school level PCM only along with a little aptitude knowledge,...

Placement opportunities are good.

Placements: For the last batch, i.e., B.Tech 2014-2018, the placements were good. About 15 students got placed in different companies. Many companies visit our college to offer placements. A few companies are already committed to recruit the students of next batch.

In short, we can say it's good college for the students who really wants to learn marine.

Placements: Talking about placements, we can say there are only 5-6 students get placed out of 40. However, they send students for off-campus interviews on their behalf. They give chances to all students. In a year, they call 5-6 companies to the college for the placements. They give references to join the internship.

More focus on placement is needed.

Placements: Placements aren't too good here. Only those who re extremely good have the chances of campus placement. Besides they provide off-campus placements to the remaining. Around 20% cadets got placement from campus and they joined ship as trainee marine engineer with an avg pay of $600 per month.

Dissatisfied with the placements and infrastructure on the campus.

Placements: For our seniors, they made the false report regarding the placements, but nowadays, the placement team is doing well and trying their best to increase the number of placements. In the years 2017 and 2018, many companies came to the college for campus placements.

The college formerly known as National Maritime Academy is one of the seven legacy institutes that became as IMU in 2008. The college has fine infrastructure with all basic amenities needed for training cadets. The new 300 acre campus is under construction which will make it the Asia's largest campus. The campus has second largest simulator in the country after the navy.

It is a well reputed college. It was inaugurated by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. You can get a marine engineering degree with a good placement in shipping companies across the globe. The faculty members are very good. It has largest workshop for practical training in India.

Very much disappointed due to zero placements. Faculty members are good.

Placements: Zero Placement. Everything from recruiting companies to the internship was just there for the name. We have to find solutions to everything on our own. So I don't recommend my college to any of the students of this industry.

It is a good college to study in marine.

Placements: Most of the time, our college puts high efforts in providing placements for students, but due to market situations, there will be a problem. However, for our course, our college provided a company where we attended the interview and got placed. Still, there is a little more improvement.
