College of Agriculture Bawal is a branch of Asia's largest university, CCSHAU.
Placements: There is no particular placement cell in our college, but huge opportunities are given to students after graduation and post-graduation in public sectors (ADO, AFO, NABARD, IFFCO, BANK) and private sectors. The average package after B.Sc. Agri is 6-8 lakhs per annum.

Our college has good infrastructure and a clean environment with a low pollution level.
Placements: The highest package offered is around 6 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package provided is 3 Lacs per annum. Students get placements in different agricultural industries like pesticides, seed companies, post-harvest processing, etc. Students can also apply for government jobs and pursue higher studies.
Infrastructure: For our course, the infrastructure facilities are good. Students are provided with Wi-Fi, a library with e-resources, air conditioning in the library and examination hall, good sports facilities, etc. Hostel facilities are also provided, with a good mess serving meals with high nutritional value.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and helpful by nature. They have a high level of knowledge. The course curriculum is very efficient and helps students learn in an efficient and sequential manner. It makes the students knowledgeable and ready for the industry.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in agriculture and want to help farmers raise their living standards. One thing I want to improve is the fieldwork. Students should be incorporated into fieldwork so that they can become aware of real field problems.

Pollution-free and farming away from the noise of the city.
Placements: Students with average and excellent scores in the 10th class are placed under this course. The average package ranges from 3-4 LPA, and it can be up to 6-7 LPA. Mostly, fertilizer and seed-based industries recruit the students. Along with this, the top roles offered are Field Officer and ADO.
Infrastructure: Facilities are fully equipped and excellent, including new labs and equipment, computers, a library, and a research area. The quality of food at the hostel is decent compared to other hostels and the college, along with the canteen, dispensary, and grounds for particular outdoor and indoor sports.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in relation to their course and provide excellent study material. The course curriculum is relevant and offers an excellent choice of education in the field of agriculture and the farming industry, helping farmers with their innovative ideas and approaches in agriculture.
Other: This course is offered for excellent knowledge and skills in the agriculture sector. I chose this course to enhance my skills and knowledge in the field of agriculture. The crowd and connectivity to the campus are not very good. There are about 400-500 students pursuing degrees on campus, and numerous extracurricular activities happen throughout the year.

M.Sc. in Soils Science - Batch of 2025

My thoughts about my college.
Placements: Various placement companies like Bayer Crop Science approached the graduate students of our college, and the candidates were shortlisted according to their performances at the time of the interview. But the salary package for these was very low, so many of the students do not show interest.
Infrastructure: The hostels are well-aerated and with good ventilation. There is a proper facility for food and electricity. Also, there is a canteen in front of the college for the staff and the students. Students are actively involved in games and other sports activities.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and are very humble and helpful. They guide us properly about the various scopes of the subject chosen by the students. There were exams first in the middle of the semester and then at the end of the semester. There are smart classrooms in the college.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have a keen interest in Soil Science and want to become a soil scientist.

It is a peaceful college for students.
Placements: Around 150 students get placed every year. Bayer and Insecticide were the top recruiting companies. Agriculture field officer and agriculture development officer roles were offered to students.
Infrastructure: Our college had a 3-floor building that included a seminar hall, auditorium, photoshop lab, and classrooms fully furnished with projectors and 24 hours electricity. It had Asia's 2nd largest library named Nehru Library. The hostel fee was Rs.1800 for 6 months and food was served at Rs.25. There was a ground for volleyball, a girls' center for athletics, and a table tennis board at the mess.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were top-rated, knowledgeable, and helpful in every way. The course curriculum was relevant and understood practically by visiting the field. The minimum pass CGPA was 4.5 CGPA. The level of examination was average for good students.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest. Our college provided scholarships of Rs.6,000 for 6 months for the top 100 students. The best thing about our course is it matches my basic living agriculture.

It is good for mediocre students but not suitable for toppers as it will suppress your intelligence.
Placements: Placements are totally dependent on what you do during your college time. If you only enjoy and waste time, then you have to suffer in the end. However, if you both enjoy and work hard, then you will definitely get a good job. Most of the students do not have faith in placements, and they are inclined towards government jobs. Very few companies visited here to provide placements. You have to opt for off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not well developed here. When I took admission, there was no library and playgrounds. However, if you compare it with today, you can see the difference. The library is established, but there are still many problems like no Wi-Fi facility and playgrounds. The food provided is of very good quality and much better than normal mess food.
Faculty: The curriculum is huge. In each semester, there are 8-9 subjects. Most of them are relevant, and just 2-3 are boring. Teachers are not supportive at all, and they have knowledge but don't know how to teach students. So you have to learn on your own. Semester exams are tough, and you have to prepare properly to secure good marks. The pass percentage differs in different subjects.
Other: Due to a lack of proper infrastructure, there is no focus on cultural activities. There are no clubs, fests, events, etc. Scholarships are also provided to academically top 15-16 students in every semester. Scholarships provided are Rs. 4,000 for boys and Rs. 7,000 for girls.
