B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture - Batch of 2026

College of Agriculture Bawal is a branch of Asia's largest university, CCSHAU.
Placements: There is no particular placement cell in our college, but huge opportunities are given to students after graduation and post-graduation in public sectors (ADO, AFO, NABARD, IFFCO, BANK) and private sectors. The average package after B.Sc. Agri is 6-8 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure includes fully digital classrooms and campus Wi-Fi, along with fully advanced library facilities. The labs are fully furnished, and the hostel has a capacity for 150 students, with three students living in each room. The mess food quality is above average, and there are canteen, medical facilities, and a good playground available for games.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, having completed their post-graduation and PhDs from prestigious universities. The curriculum includes 9 to 10 subjects related to agriculture, providing good knowledge related to the agriculture industry. The pass percentage for each semester is 3.5 OGPA.
Other: Farmer background student.

It is good for mediocre students but not suitable for toppers as it will suppress your intelligence.
Placements: Placements are totally dependent on what you do during your college time. If you only enjoy and waste time, then you have to suffer in the end. However, if you both enjoy and work hard, then you will definitely get a good job. Most of the students do not have faith in placements, and they are inclined towards government jobs. Very few companies visited here to provide placements. You have to opt for off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not well developed here. When I took admission, there was no library and playgrounds. However, if you compare it with today, you can see the difference. The library is established, but there are still many problems like no Wi-Fi facility and playgrounds. The food provided is of very good quality and much better than normal mess food.
Faculty: The curriculum is huge. In each semester, there are 8-9 subjects. Most of them are relevant, and just 2-3 are boring. Teachers are not supportive at all, and they have knowledge but don't know how to teach students. So you have to learn on your own. Semester exams are tough, and you have to prepare properly to secure good marks. The pass percentage differs in different subjects.
Other: Due to a lack of proper infrastructure, there is no focus on cultural activities. There are no clubs, fests, events, etc. Scholarships are also provided to academically top 15-16 students in every semester. Scholarships provided are Rs. 4,000 for boys and Rs. 7,000 for girls.

Review of College of Agriculture, Bawal.
Placements: The college is new, and it was made in 2017. Till now, no batch has passed from this college. So we cannot evaluate the status of the college on the basis of placements. Moreover, it only offers one course, i.e., B.Sc in agriculture. As the placement in university is quite good, the first placements from college is also expected to be good.
Infrastructure: The college building was completed in the last year only, and it is quite good. The structure is admiring, and the greenery is adorable. The hostel is also well maintained with good infrastructure. There is only one boy and one girl's hostel till now, which is a drawback. Handball, volleyball and open badminton court is available. There is no cricket or football ground.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders. They are new and do not have a lot of teaching experience. They try their level best. The course makes students industry-ready, and they can easily get a job after their graduation.
Other: The campus is in a tier 4 location, and the outside life of the campus is gross. The environment is not at all soothing for girls. Moreover, there are no Swiggy and Zomato options. A good restaurant is nearly 8 kilometers away. There is no laundry, and you have to wash your clothes yourself. There is no club system in college, and the closest mall to the campus is nearly 20 kilometers away in Rewari city.
